Great service low prices very clean install professional environment!!! Much better than the services I got from CD Wizard.

I went in and checked out systems for my auto, which had the original tape deck from the early 90’s. The salesman and I tried out some cd decks on the wall and the one he talked up didn’t work. The main knob didn’t do it’s functions. It was faulty. It was broken. It was obvious that the demo model wasn’t working. He said that they had some of the same deck still in a box and we made an appointment to install one. I came back days later, dropped off the auto and walked off and did chores and got a bite to eat. I came back and they were still working on the instillation. No problem, they were putting in the deck plus four speakers, for $ 454, and I thought all was well. As soon as they were done the installer guy and I started playing with the unit, setting the clock and such and he was showing me how it worked. Fine… Then we realized the main knob wasn’t working. I went back to the sound room and sure enough, there was a hole in the wall with loose wire where the broken demo had been They had taken the same broken deck out of the wall and put it in my auto. I bitched and moaned and went into the boss’s office, followed by the salesman who was telling me, «You can’t go in there.» Yah, right. What are going to do, tackle me? I went in and told the boss what had happened and how this was NOWAY to run a business. He said little, just looked sad. I heard the salesman yelling the F-word outside. He said he had a migraine. I’d have one too if I was stupid enough to FORGET that the demo didn’t work. And dishonest enough to NOT ask the customer if it would be OK to use a demo off the wall. I’ve bought demo stuff before, usually you get a price break. These guys didn’t ask. I don’t know if they are all crooks, or the salesman is just a dummy. So these guys flunk. I won’t be back.

I am very disappointed with the service I have received from Advanced Car Audio. They are a nice clean car audio store located in Hilo but get a F on customer service. If you are expecting a call back from these people you will probably never get one. If you have a problem and address it you will get a runaround. If you order something special you will be told it is on order, will come in next week. When the next week comes you will be told it will be the week after. And so begins the cycle of «it will be here next week we will call you». Advance Car Audio needs to call customers back and honestly keep customers informed of products on order.
