Love the cookies, crispy and delicious, and the party mix, wonderful flavor! Their packaging is beautiful, too!

Definitely like this place over the big island candies. Cheaper and crisper cookies compared to big island candies. They also have FREE pretty gold boxes For packaging

Big Island Delights may be a small candy shop but they do have a decent variety of treats. Unlike Big Island Candies, they do sell delicious ice pops. My favorite flavor is their Li hing strawberry. I have noticed that their watermelon pops are always out so that’s probably the popular flavor to order. Their lilikoi shortbread cookies are another must-have from this store. I purchased a bag of rice cracker brittle as a gift, which looks fancy. You might think you can buy all your goodies at Big Island Candies but it’s worth checking out this places for other sorts of goodies.

We have fallen in love with big island delights shortbread cookies dipped in chocolate, and I plan to eat more! found them in longs Drugs on Maui where we live, but I plan to ship several boxes to myself for the holidays! OMG the cookies are SO amazing, not too sweet, just right. Next trip to Hilo will have a stop at the store to sample more goodies!

*Big Island Delights located right off the main road is not your Big Island Candies. This small shop carries less inventory, but has a lot more local flair to the items they sell. We always try to stop in and pick up some items to munch on and to bring back with us. I know that they have a store on Oahu at the Ward Centre and have purchased goodies from there also, but just something draws us back to the original location. Marlin jerky, Party Mix, Chocolate dipped macadamia biscotti and Chocolate shortbread cookies were just some of the things we grabbed…“Ono stuff!” *Always another great stop when in Hilo* *Parking available in front of store. ****Hours**** Mon — Fri 9am to 5pm Saturday 9am-3pm Closed on Sundays

Okay, a word of caution. I went here last year but could not Unilocal about it because I didn’t sign up until AUG2012.(The prices listed is a year old, FYI.) But this place is pretty AWESOME so I had to do a review considering there’s only 5 reviews posted. So here goes: Does shopping at Big Island CANDIES make you feel like a pauper? Then check this place out! Big Island DELIGHTS has a wide variety of cookies & tasty treats ranging from butter arare, jerkys, energy bars, party mix, biscotti, cookies, etc. It’s similar to Wholesale Unlimited in Honolulu but better because they have more baked goods here. Prices are pretty reasonable but can get pricey for certain things like their party mix(the one with the cheetos, fritos & bugles are bombtastic), and their chocolate dipped shortbread cookies. The tub cookies are moderately priced(around $ 9) & are the perfect size for bringing to work. Their chocolate dipped shortbread cookies are smiliar to their competitor and I have to give props to B.I.C. as I think theirs is better, although more expensive. Yes B.I.D. does sell their cookies at select Longs & other Oahu stores but here you have a wider selection of cookies to choose from that make for excellent omiyage & it’s a nice alternative to the other guys. I like their energy bars, party mix, and the Reeses Peanut Butter Chip(I think that’s what it was called) cookies. Butter arare($ 3.99) — interesting, not what I expected. Kona Cappucino cookies($ 3.59) in small package — omiyage for coffee lover. Reeses Peanut Butter Chip cookies($ 3.59) small package or($ 8.95) small tub: my favorite: brownie like crispy cookie with peanut butter chips — not overly sweet, but sweet enough. Hours here are kind of limited(something like 9 to 5 and 3pm Sat.) & they are CLOSED on Sundays. The store itself is rather small so if you plan to shop«big» here I’m not sure if they can accommodate you because it seems their goodies come in from an off site location, at least from my experience. My advice to you is to make this your first stop & go from there. I wanted to buy a couple of tubs of their new R.P.B.C. cookies but they ran out. They asked if we could come back later which was okay for us because we had a whole week there. So if you have only one day in Hilo & they’re out of stock on something you really want then you MIGHT be out of luck. If your one day in Hilo is on a Sunday, when they are closed, then your completely out of luck. Please don’t say I didn’t warn you.(This is a family run operated business and not like the big boys a mile away.) Their location is pretty close to the airport, and is on the right side of Kanoelehua Avenue if you are heading towards Puainako Town Center(KTA/Sack N Save). You should check it out. 31 Unilocal Review Challenge(14⁄31)

Okay– you have Big Island«this» and Big Island«that» and my recent revalation is Big Island Delights. Little unassuming store on the main drag selling cookies and snacks. I got their Lilikoi(also known as Passion Fruit) Shortbread cookies on the recommendation of my sister. Yep! It was great. And so much like homemade shortbread cookies not like those found on the store shelves with tons of preservative it’s hard not buttery and crunchy like a shortbread cookie should be. Unfortnately, I could not indulge in the chocolates as I had no where to keep them cool and safe from the sun but I did try the chocolate covered animal crackers! Whie and dark chocolate little animal crackers dippined in white or dark chocolate; packaged and price right if you wanted to give them as gifts to your friends after your visit to Hilo. If you’re a Hilo resident– you can save the plastic jars for refill of your favorite cookies and your order is discounted in price because you brought your own container…

Happened upon their booth at the 2011 Made in Hawai’i Frestival. Bought their Orange Cranberry Cream Cheese Scone & had it for breakfast. What a treat! The dusting of sugar in the raw made for a nice touch. I also bought their mini Pineapple Peach pie. Wow! Loved it! You could really taste the pineapple and it went superbly with the peach. Not sure if the pineapple was fresh or canned, but it was all good to me. The crust is old style, substantial, flaky and butter-licious. Good stuff! #Yelp 365: 022⁄365

I didn’t know about this brand until my friend mentioned it when I visited Hilo after 8 years. I felt that the cookie was crunchier compare to big island candies. Also, heard really good comments about the snowball cookies are awesome. I still need to try that out. the staff was super nice and the store is small but very nicely presented. I will come back again :) **edit: I think i saw their product at DonquiHote in Honolulu. but not a lot though, just the chocolate dipped shortbreads. and just tried the Macdemia snowball cookies. They are really ONOLICIOUS!
