Wow, Eggplant Parm is the reason I’ll be back, strawberry salad is the other excuse. Soo good!

First time and went for breakfast. Store was empty but the lady at the counter was really friendly and helpful with the menu. Got the bacon and mushroom with egg on top of sweet bread with a side salad for $ 5, which I think was worth it. It was delicious. Also had the PB&J smoothie. It was good, but a bit pricey at $ 7.50. Noticed they also sell Fusion lemonade. Overall, The place was very inviting and clean with nice décor. I hope they last in Hilo for a long time so I can try other stuff on their menu.

Café Kaai… just what Hilo needs! Great menu. I had the Hawaiian surf and turf(Kalua pig and lomi salmon slaw) sandwich, a smoothie and my wife had the amazing grilled cheese. definitely coming back again.

Kaai Café recently opened in downtown Hilo with a new local owner, Danny. The café features affordable sandwiches, frozen yogurt, and free wifi. I really enjoyed the expresso frozen yogurt, which was savory and refreshing. The café also boasts some beautiful Hawaiian art from drawings to carvings. I plan to go to Kaai Café for meetings.
