This is the best pizza in Hilo. They make their own dough and have plenty of sandwich and other offerings if you aren’t feeling like some za. It’s more expensive but like most things in life you get what you pay for. They also deliver but it can be slow, so its not for the immediate hunger lust.

Why did the pizza man go into business? He wanted to make some dough! On the real, this place has the best pizza in Hilo. Granted, there aren’t all that many pizza places in Hilo besides the chain restaurants like Pizza Hut and Dominoes, it’s still some really really good pizza. Pizza Hawaii is also located in a very convenient place for me. Being in Puainako Shopping Center, it’s right by Jack in The Box, McDonald’s, and all the other places that I would end up frequenting anyways. What I didn’t know before today, when I went in to actually pick up the pizza for once, is that they don’t just do pizza. Looking up at the menu, I discovered that they serve other great things like wraps and hoagies, that I’ll most definitely have to give a try sometime. The pizzas that you will find here will cost a wee bit more than the big chain stores, but you have to trust me when I say that it is completely worth it. It’s not even that much more, but the pizza itself is leaps and bounds ahead of anything you would get at the big places. Seriously though, 10/10, I cannot recommend this place enough. It’s such an inconspicuous little place, but the pies they’re dishing out are so good. Please do yourself a favor and give them a try.

In my opinion the best pizza on the Hilo side. Great choice of toppings and price. I like pizzas with sun dried tomato and artichoke hearts or a bacon and pineapple. Mm mm good

Solid Pizza — Reminded me a lot of the pizza from Boston’s North End on O’ahu. Good pizza, convenient to order on-line. No frills, but hey, it is pizza…

Really good pizza and with the deal they were having, it cost the two of us $ 17 for large one topping and a drink. Definitely hit the spot!

Definitely best pizza in Hilo. Their prices for a large pizza aren’t bad either if you’re a student, the large one topping is only $ 9.99 all the time. They also have the deal for anyone if you order after 6pm I believe. Can’t find a better deal on a better pizza here! The restaurant itself was nothing to brag about, it was pretty small, but they also have a few tables outside.

We dropped by for the deli sandwiches and baked spaghetti. The tuna salad that I had was scantily clad in a roll that had pretenses to both a baguette and a hoagie. There was the skimpiest of spreads and the service was slow.

Negatives: The cashier appeared unfriendly, wearing a frown on his face during the entire transaction. Long wait-time for food. Positives: good pizza, especially the Greek and California ones.

Best pizza place in Hilo. They are pretty expensive, but the pizzas are large and the toppings are plentiful. If you are having friend over to your house and you order pizza, they will love you the most if you order from Pizza Hawaii.(lol) They have several veggie options and other gourmet style choices. The calzones(called Pizza bakes) are pretty good but I prefer the pizzas here. If you like spice, try the Inferno with baked on jalapeño peppers, it is a personal fave.

I was in a hurry and asked the counter help how long it would take to get a calzone. She said 15 minutes. I ordered it and 45 minutes later got it. The calzone was not very good. Bad sauce and no flavor. Pass on this place.

After being blown away by their pizza in Pahoa(I’m being sarcastic), we ended up grabbing lunch here, mostly cuz we were in a hurry, there was nothing else around, and we didn’t want fast food. I had a veggie sandwich that was HUGE, and pretty good. The boy had a cheese and pepper stromboli. It had mustard in it. I’m not sure why. It was really big, and I was bored of it after one bite, so I don’t know how he ate as much of it as he did. Eh.
