Honestly — if I didn’t know any better, I would have thought that everything was a set-​up. From the incredible weather, to the amazing glimpses of leatherback turtles and dolphins, to the non-​stop action of reeling in shark after shark. Capt Brian is amazing with young kids and he’s incredibly patient with inexperienced fishers.
I realize that you can’t get a guarantee for a successful fishing trip every time, but I can guarantee that Capt Brian has the experience that will maximize any fishing condition and level of experience. I seriously can’t recommend Off the Hook Charters enough.

We spent the better part of the morning with Captain Byron and it was fantastic! We caught six sharks and one of them a black tip shark which we just made some Bangin tacos with.

Capt Brian came highly recommend to us by my cousins and he did not disappoint! I had hoped to catch a few fish and have a good time but imagine the thrill of catching an 80 lb Tarpon! Capt Brian knew just where to go to have a chance to hook one of these beasts. Most importantly, he made sure we didn’t lose it ! He is a real professional and very patient with amateurs. My teenage son caught 2 sharks and that was an exciting experience for him. His reputation as top fishing guide is well-​deserved!

Brian booked the trip and we went out w/​Corey. After 20 minutes we were catching small bluefish and caught 1 spanish mackerel. Then we motored to another spot further out. Corey rigged the bluefish and soon we had hooked 3 Red Drum or Bull Redfish (there are lost of names for these fish) weights all mid 20s. Great time. Highly recommended.

Hands down the best fishing guide on the island. Captain Brian Vaughn is a fish finding machine. I’ve been on three trips with CBV and each trip was better than the last. If you are on Hilton Head Island book him early and often.
