Best ice cream we had on the island! The ice cream here is awesome — we loved the Oreo and key lime pie flavors. Staff was also very friendly and helpful.

They call themselves salty dog and even have a gift store for dogs but don’t allow dogs on the premise when MOST other businesses do ! So much for dog friendly

We ordered the mint chip and was disappointed. For the price, they should be serving Hershey’s ice cream. It tasted like water. Very disappointing but not surprising given they are the only shop in the general vicinity.

Terrible ice cream! I love ice cream and I am not picky. This ice cream had no flavor at all, was not sweet and had large stale chips in it. Cups and Cones at Harbor Town is better.

Salty Dog Ice Cream is A-OK. No big complaints. It’s a pretty standard walk up to the counter, order your ice cream, pay, and walk away. Service was friendly and quick. Prices are reasonable.

I got fat-free vanilla frozen yogurt in a waffle cone with whipped cream. Weird order right? But somehow it all coalesced into something just right for our post dinner stroll. Even the young girls working the counter weren’t as bitter & surly as most seaside resort workers can be(because most customers are jerks btw.) It was yummy & right next to three or four restaurants — a genius money maker.

Never have tried this flavor(cheesecake/brownie). Have not tried other flavors, but this was really good. The last couple of weeks wished I had another cheesecake/brownie ice cream. The atmosphere is great with the music… nice lil area.

This is a good stand to grab a cone and take a stroll around the pier or just sit outside and listen to the music. The line seemed long but it moved along quickly. I’ve definitely had better ice cream — this is nothing special — but it’s more about the ambiance and the kids love it. They carry all the kid’s favorites like Superman and Birthday Cake.

Tourist trap. Generic ice cream. Small scoops. Nothing to bother with.

While the Salty Dog Café is not good, the Salty Dog Ice Cream shop in South Beach is pretty great! This place provides well-crafted ice cream for a hot summer day! And best of all, they are easily accessible, the lines are relatively decent lines(except on super hot days), and their prices are reasonable considering their location in the tourist trap, South Beach. They have a variety of about 20 or so ice creams/sorbets/sherberts and floats and smoothies. Best of all, the service is fairly quick and if you ask for a single scoop(for $ 3.25) the employees will often use heavy scoops or give you a double, without even asking for it. We come here every summer. It’s the perfect spot for a perfect treat on a perfect vacation.

In the same marina as the Salty Dog Café and Land’s End Tavern. Can eat an ice cream cone outdoors while listening to live music on certain nights. The ice cream itself is ok. Satisfies the craving for some sweetness, but my kaluah chip was nothing to write home about. Tasted like I could have gotten it at a supermarket. Although they were very kind to accomodate my request for«the smallest size you’ve got» — which turned out to be a «kiddie» cone(with a huge scoop) for $ 2.50. About the size of a regular scoop, so plenty for me.
