The food is delicious and the services are attentive and clean. I really enjoyed eating here… I recommend the fruit canola(I forgot the name for now, will edit when it comes to me). French toast is filled with an interesting cream. Even their basic French fries are fresh and delicious. And their burgers are reasonably sized. :D

Stopped in for breakfast(off season) and were seated promptly although it was very busy. We each had one of the skillet breakfasts, tasty and filling. The servings of orange juice was huge(and we had requested small but apparently that’s how they serve it). The maple syrup, if you care, was of the corn syrup variety, not real maple syrup. Biscuits were good. I think the waitress might have been having an off day but nothing too negative there.

Food was mostly just ok but wait for delivery of food was way to long for 2pm in afternoon. Sallie and I had fish and chips. Supposed to be cod but who knows, Cole slaw and ff ok. Pat had eggs Benedict and said the were ok, Ed had stuffed French toast and liked it. Ricki took our order and someone from the kitchen delivered it about 30 min. Later. We’ll be here 4 more days but not at Skillets.

Great food and friendly service… If your favorite meal is breakfast, then you really need to come here. Dinner is good as well. The clam chowder is some of the best ever prepared in a restaurant.

I went there with my daughter, son-in-law, my husband and grandson. They have gluten free pancakes! I had those with eggs and bacon. My husband had the veggie skillet and said the poached eggs on top were perfect. Son– in –law had the French toast that looked awesome and my daughter had the banana foster pancakes. She is pregnant and loved them. My 2 year old grandson had the kitchen sink which was a small portion of pancakes, bacon, and eggs. It was a great meal and the service was great. I would give it 5 stars if it would have had real maple syrup.

Skillets is good for breakfast and café food. The rest of my party was happy with their food, I was just unimpressed with the overall experience. Syrup came in packets(isn’t this a breakfast joint?) and the service was just okay. I’ve been to chain restaurants with better pancakes. We’d come back for a quick breakfast before hitting the beach, but it’s not a favorite of mine.

My wife and I stopped in for early Thanksgiving dinner and it was great! They were serving 11 – 3 pm. The dinner was a full plate of traditional fixings with cornbread or regular stuffing and choice of mashed or sweet potato we also had mimosas and pumpkin pie for desert. The coffee was also great. Our server Aime B. was very attentive and pleasant. Would definitely return. Was a short walk from our villa.

Just okay. Service was good but Denny’s/Ihop have better food. Was really hoping for better food. Restaurant was clean and your plates come in skillets which is cute.

We had a late breakfast here it was packed. The service was good the food was ok. I had a bacon with potatoes and poached eggs. The potatoes were ok, they gave a lot of crumbled bacon. The poached eggs were very good. Every one else said that their food was ok.

This place was a great find! The prices were very reasonable and the portion sizes were generous. I love that they have gluten free options. It is also vegetarian friendly. I didn’t like that there was only 1 breakfast kids meal option and they they don’t allow any substitutions on it(ex. fruit for meat). The server was very friendly and patient as we asked lots of questions. You also get a 10% discount if you are staying at any of the Marriott Timeshare properties. Will definitely visit again!

We went for dinner on Sunday night around 6pm it wasn’t crowded when we got there but by the time we left it was. Our meals were all good but service was slow. Not taking a star away as our server was doing his best. I had the fried chicken and baked potato it was average but the other meals we got were very good with monte Cristo and grilled chicken sandwich. I passed on the salad bar as wasn’t impressed with the options. Had the peanut butter choc pie for dessert and it was very rich. Others with our party had the Key Lime pie and enjoyed it.

First, the food was delicious and the location is great! I definitely recommend the seafood crêpe! Now, the two reasons for the two star rating… 1. We called around 10AM to make a reservation for noon because we had a large party. The person that answered the phone said they weren’t busy, and didn’t need a reservation. We reiterated that we were a large party, and wanted to verify we wouldn’t have any problems at noon. The employee reassured us and we hung up without a reservation. We showed up a noon and the place was packed. Fortunately we didn’t have a very long wait, but the host looked very confused and had to wander around the restaurant trying to find tables to push together. I feel this could have been avoided if they just let us make a reservation. 2. Our server was trying to be friendly, but was way too friendly. He was constantly trying to make jokes(some inappropriate) and be the star of the show. I’m not saying I don’t want a friendly server, but I feel they should be somewhat professional. A server should not walk up to your table and make a «separate, but equal» joke to describe how are two tables weren’t touching. He also made more than a few jokes about religion and politics. My friends and I aren’t prudes, but the jokes could be very offensive to some customers. About halfway through our meal we just starting giving him one word answers to avoid interacting with him. Overall, great food, but at least one server needs some training.

My husband and I were in Hilton Head for a weekend and we wanted to go places that we could bring our dog with us. Skillets was perfect for us! They had several gluten free options which were perfect for me. There sandwiches were really good, and the salad bar was average. They offered freshly brewed sweet tea(which is a must for us). Our service was pretty slow, but we enjoyed sitting on the patio with our dog. They offer dog meals which was fun and our pup definitely loved it! This is a great place for breakfast and lunch, and we would definitely come back!

Disappointing. From the non-friendly greeting when we walked in, to the cheap diner food. The potatoes that came with the omlette were from a bag, not fresh cut. The avocado on top of the omlette was also not fresh, but some premade, factory produced green stuff. In a tourist and high class area, a restaurant must be exceptional to stand out. Nothing special here. I’d suggest they reduce the menu and focus on few things exceptionally well. Don’t know how servers can survive working here. And! The bathrooms are bad. Clean, dust, wore things down. Seriously needs a good cleaning. The bathroom is a reflection of the kitchen.

My husband and I came here because we wanted to bring our dogs with us. We loved how pet friendly it was — they brought our dogs water and even had a menu for the pups. The service was friendly but slow. The food was about average. I would return because it was nice that our dogs could come with us.

Family friendly dining with plentiful options of great food, efficient service all in a clean and updated restaurant. Our family of 6 ranging from 19 – 3 y/o all found something yummy to enjoy. A few of our selections were the fruit crepes, eggs Benedict as well as the southwestern skillet. Generous portions, visually appealing and really tasty.

My family and I have been coming to Hilton Head for the past 25 years. We use to always eat at the same places while on vacation here. This year, though, we decided to branch out and try something different. The menu at Skillets looked really good, and that is why we decided to try it out. We ordered the peel and eat shrimp as an appetizer, and then the sea scallops with spinach risotto, seafood stir fry, and the broiled seafood combo. The scallops were subpar. They overlooked the scallops, which is a huge no-no! They are supposed to be moist, but they were just dry and flavorless. And the risotto also had no flavor. It appeared as though they used mozzarella rather than parmigiana, which made it stringy with no salt at all! The broiled seafood platter was about the same. The scallops were overlooked, and the white fish was over salted(they appear to not be able to get the salt right on any dish). The rice was good, but seemed like it was out of a bag. The seafood stir fry was by far the best dish of the night. It had good flavors, the seafood was not over cooked, and they did not overdo the soy sauce. Lastly, the service was subpar. At any restaurant(especially one that you are paying $ 20-$ 30 a plate for dinner), I expect friendly and courteous service. We did not get this. The hostess a young kid, who appeared to car less about creating a nice environment. This is an issue as the host gives the first impression of the restaurant. The server was better, but again, was not friendly. At one point when he realized we did not have silver wear, he said«I am so sorry, the host is incompetent and can’t do his job». Even if this is true, he should not openly say this to a guest. In all, I have had better dining experiences. I would not come back here, but if you chose to, keep in mind that a lot of the dishes are over cooked.

What a joke. Note to the manager: staff your restaurant appropriately. We stopped in to get a late breakfast and waited almost 10 minutes for a server. Not gonna spend money for that kind of service.

So, pros… Good coffee, good biscuits, and yummy home fries… the healthy omelette is great… Cons… Crab had shell in it, which obviously made the crab/guac omelette ehhh… Guac is a lil soupy for my taste. Overall, I’d recommend for a nice breakfast on the island:)

Outstanding food, especially for breakfast and the prices were more than reasonable. The Southern Omelet was outstanding both times I had it on this trip. Dinner is a bit more expensive but still very reasonable in comparison to the hotel restaurant. The Caribbean Jerk Mahi was really good and cost less than plain olé fish and chips at The Porch in the hotel.
