Family came here to celebrate the end of our vacation. The service was great, and the atmosphere was nice, but that’s really all it has going for it. Though the food wasn’t bad, it wasn’t anything special at all. It’s good. Just not«fancy steakhouse good».

Staying at the Omni for a few days… Looked forward to breakfast every morning, including our extremely wonderful waiter, Garfield. Fresh fruit, omelettes to order, all types of salsas and jams. Terrif! Had dinner here one night as well, charred Cesar was really good if you like anchovies, wedge salad-great, she crab soup, and vegetable grits, real good. Was wonderful to have this spot steps away from our room. My kids want to add«Garfield is awesome!»

Took a chance and it was amazing! We ate here our last night at the Omni, not wanting to drive anywhere. We read the reviews and were reluctant with the 3.5 stars… but wowsee this was an amazing meal! I’m quite the picky eater too. We shared the calamari appetizer and it was one of the best calamari dishes I’ve had. Perfectly battered, seasoned great. Came with 2 delicious sauces one was spicy the other was a mango based sauce. I then ordered the filet(and I’m from Texas so used to the steak hype) and it was a great steak! Not covered it copious amounts of butter(I believe some places do this to cover up the poor quality of the beef). This filet was seasoned lightly and very tender abs juicy(ordered medium). The truffle fries were good as well… The potatoes had skins on them and the truffle was not overwhelming. Meal came with 2 types of warm bread one was an olive bread and both were very tasty and fresh. Service was amazing and there was live music(soft acoustic) outside. We were seated just near the door do had a great spot to also hear the music. Love love love this place highly recommend. P. S. Hubs had the burger and it was gigantic. He left nothing on his plate!

We decided to eat here on out first night at the Omni. I had the crab cake my husband the seafood linguini with marinara. It exceeded our expectations. The bread pudding was also delicious. I loved the atmosphere and live music and the wait staff went out of their way to make sure we were happy with our food, we can’t wait to come back!

Their unlimited breakfast is $ 20 per person. Their service is amazing and the waiters are extremely nice. The omelettes are the best and their syrup for french toast, waffles or pancakes is delightful. The breakfast is worth every penny and more.

Every time I’m in Palmetto Dunes I make sure to stop at HH prime. The service is always great and the food is always delicious. I’ve been there well over 10 times and every time is consistent which is hard to find. There no wait during off season but during tourist season I highly recommend making reservations ahead of time. The menu is basic steak and seafood but it’s always good and fresh.

A lovely Xmas eve dinner. The restaurant is gorgeous and the staff is super. Everything we ordered was wonderful: filet(cooked perfectly black& blue), pork chop(lovely medium), and asparagus(plenty to share). Wife started with butternut squash soup(she loved it). Will definitely come back.

Staying at the wonderful Omni Seaside Resort at Hilton Head, we decided to try HH Prime one evening since it was onsite and had good reviews. Entering the restaurant, we really liked the atmosphere, the very friendly hostess, and the table we were given. Unfortunately, things went downhill after that and we were pretty disappointed. I started with a cocktail. My MacCallan on the rocks was great, but I have to say it was the most I have ever paid for MacCallan in any restaurant around the world. My wife had the chef’s special for the evening(filet and crab legs). Her filet was over cooked(ordered medium rare) and the crab legs were stringy and over cooked. The meat was very hard to extract it was so stringy, so wondering how fresh the special even was. I ordered the 10 oz filet. Mine was also overcooked to medium and neither tasted like«prime» cuts. The menu does not include the word«prime» by their steaks, so perhaps they do not serve prime meats? I just made the assumption given the restaurant name. In any event, nowhere near the flavor or tenderness of prime filets we have had at many other steakhouses. My filet included potatoes or French fries. I originally ordered French fries, but after my salad, changed to a baked potato. Our server, who was friendly and reasonably attentive, said that would be fine. She did not mention there was an up charge of $ 3 for a baked potato. The issue isn’t $ 3, but the principle of up charging to a baked potato over Yukon potatoes or French fries. I mean which potato option takes more effort in the kitchen to prepare and how much could a potato cost? I questioned the waitress about it and she just smiled and made no offer to remove the charge. The honey cream brule we had for desert was the highlight of the evening. It was exceptional. However, it could not overcome the rest of our mediocre dinner and the high price for what we received. Definitely would not return for dinner. Despite the evening disappointment, we did decide to give HH Prime another chance at breakfast. This was a mistake. The buffet is $ 19.95. This seemed a bit high for just standard American breakfast fare. Don’t get me wrong, they do have a ton of food to offer on the buffet, including omelets and eggs to order. The buffet scrambled eggs were watery and disappointing. However, the eggs cooked to order were accurately cooked and very good. Biggest disappointment was in the breads. The croissants and English muffins were not fresh. Tasted stale as they clearly had been out the day before. I realize it was close to off season at the hotel in October, but if you are going to charge $ 20 for breakfast, you need to have fresh bread.

Outstanding food and service. We went off season and there were not many people however our service and food were excellent. I had the Nyc strip and it was cooked perfect. It did have sort of a cowboy rub but not over powering. Very tender and flavorful. Wife had the filet and again excellent. It didn’t have the same seasoning which was just fine. Bread was fresh and served with an au jus butter that was tasty. Crab cake app was all crab, almost no filler. Cocktail and bar menu are solid. We brought our own wine but the selection was good and prices seemed reasonable. If you stay at the omni this is a no-brainier and if you are on this side of HH it’s worth the drive.

My husband & I ate here 3 times because it was THAT good. We tried other places, but nothing compared to the ambience & food. Get the filet & wedge salad… Then take a stroll to the fire pit outside & relax

A great stop for breakfast in the morning before heading out from the Omni. A well appointed hot breakfast buffet anchored by an omelet station and a good variety of breakfast staples both hot and cold. Kids 5 and under eat for free so that’s a big plus and kids a little older only eat for $ 7. Have they recreated the hotel breakfast buffet? No. But when you just want something tasty and predictable before a day out on the island, this place is your huckleberry. Would definitely recommend but keep your expectations in check.

The service was excellent. The wine was excellent. The food was excellent. We even got complimentary dessert because one baked potato was late. However, we took one star away because it was uncomfortably hot in the restaurant, a problem we encounter each time we visit this restaurant.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Omni Resort in which this restaurant is located. We had both breakfast and dinner at H.H. Prime. I have to say I would definitely give the breakfast five stars for value. I’ve eaten at similar buffets that have charged much more(particularly for children). Dinner was a bit of a disappointment given some of the reviews that we read(and the price). We had steak and salmon, both of which were just ok. Despite the ok food, the service was excellent(breakfast and dinner). We also really enjoyed our desserts. I also liked that they allowed our dogs to eat outside with us for breakfast.

Very good dinner. Went early and ordered a three course dinner on the prime time menu. The filet was very good but had to send it back as it was under cooked. The bread pudding dessert was fantastic. Kids ordered ice cream which was also good. Just really pricey– kids dinners were $ 7 with ice cream adding another $ 8 per kid. Three courses for each of the adults(plain salad, steak dinner with mashed potatoes and asparagus, then the bread pudding) $ 40 each… Add drinks and a tip– $ 170 for a family of four.

Time to run away from this restaurant. Overprice and mismanaged. Food is great but you have to get past an incompetent hostess and bad management.

We only had breakfast so this review isn’t going to be something special. We had dinner reservations but they forgot to tell us the menu would be limited so we had to go somewhere else but for this mishap they gave us two breakfast vouchers. We had the breakfast buffet and it was good and the service was also good. I would guess that dinner would had been great but we had Alexander’s which is almost walking distance is a great place to go.

So the boyfriend thought this was the best meal on the island. i didn’t enjoy it quite as much so thats why its only getting 4 stars. Since we stayed omni resort we ended up eating her twice; once for dinner and once for they’re breakfast buffet. Dinner: First I ordered their she-crab soup and I didn’t really like it, I had this soup three times on the island and this one was just ok. It was a bisque like version it was ok but nothing fantastic. The boyfriend got there steak and shrimp he loved it. The shrimp were huge he called them many lobsters and they weren’t rubbery which often happens with shrimp that size. I ordered the spicy seafood marinara, it is spicy so if you don’t like spicy or are just looking for a little kick I wouldn’t recommend this as it sneaks up on you. I am not a fan of marinara so this was a case of I didn’t find anything on the menu that I wanted so I settled and I made a bad choice. I didn’t like anything that I had on the menu that day but since the boyfriend enjoyed it so much I figured I probably just ordered incorrectly. Overall it was a good hotel restaurant but I don’t know if I would have eaten there if we weren’t staying at the hotel. Breakfast Buffet: So this was a pretty good breakfast buffet. They have scrambled eggs meats and pancakes on the warmers, a cereal station, fruit station, and a bread station. What really put this over the top was the made to order station. They have a full omelet, waffle, eggs, etc. It is fantastic. It cost $ 20 per person but if you have a good plan of attack you can easily get your moneys worth. Plus the quality of all their foods is high.

We are here for a sales meeting and had a 4 course prix-fixe menu. For appetizer, I got the crab cake. OMG — it was big for appetizer and a mix of lump and regular crab meat. Barely any filling… awesome! Second course was a citrus salad with slices of grapefruit/orange and watermelon balls with lettuce and vanilla vinaigrette. This was refreshing but too much dressing. I wish it was placed separately so I can add in the amount of dressing on my own. Third course was a 12oz NY strip. It had a good amount of the char on the outside and it was really good but i was so full. The asparagus stalks were thin and really yummy. The mashed potatoes was fine. Dessert was my least favorite. It was chocolate/caramel mousse. It was a bit too sweet and a few bites later, i didn’t want anymore. Company paid so didn’t see the bill but the restaurant ambiance was pretty nice. We got the second floor section to ourselves.
