Great Service. There was a hour wait to be seated outside but we got seated right away inside! Manager was going everywhere helping staff clean tables, deliver food, swiping floors, etc. very impressed. I ordered the shrimp trio. The fried shrimp was the best by far! The potatoes are yummy! Great food. BF ordered crab legs and ate every bit of it and loved them!

Food was terrible sand in the crabmeat cold shrimp and nothing spectacular with service. Don’t waste your money here.

We just got our food(dining outside with a two year old and a five year old) when a quick thunderstorm blew in. It was a busy Memorial Day at peak dinner time. They moved us inside quickly and replaced our drinks and were very kind and helpful! And the food was fantastic!

We had a great dinner. Seafood dip and corn fritters where the bomb. I got the ribeye which was excellent and my husband got fresh halibut blackened. Sides where A+. I couldn’t even finish my plates because it was too mush food. This is a place we will go back to for sure.

My first stop when in Hilton Head every year. This place is beer nirvana. So many choices, and the staff can help point you in the right direction. We end up getting some appetizers and the steamed shrimp. This place never disappoints. We usually come back at night for the live music and to have some drinks. For me, it’s not HHI until I’ve stopped here.

Great food! My wife got seafood and I got one of the burgers. They claim to make everything they can from scratch and I believe it. Reasonable prices, especially for the area. They are kid friendly, did not receive any displeasure or rolling of the eyes with my two year old. We will definitely eat here next year!

Very friendly service but mediocre food. Shrimp was dry/mealy in seafood salad. Also got crabby chips(odd ranch/cheese sauce drowned out crab), burger(good) & kid menu chicken fingers(fine). $ 48 for that & waters. Very kid friendly to our toddler & nice outdoor seating.

Went their for dinner while on vacation. The deck was great, they had live music and we loved the atmosphere. Food was decent. I got the Voodoo Skillet, and it was just ok. It was shrimp, scallops, sausage, potatoes, peppers and onions cooked in a creole seasoning. Mine was overcooked to the point all of my shrimp were so tough I couldn’t eat them and many pieces of sausage were burnt. The flavor was great, I just think it was overdone. My friends loved their meals and service was good. It’s a great location and we walked around the shops after. I think I just had an off dish and would definitely go back and give it another try.

Our family stopped in for lunch and ordered the sizzlin seafood dip, oysters on the half shell and shared the king crab leg platter. Everything was fresh and delicious. Our son even ordered a non alcoholic frozen triple concoction with blueberry, coconut and raspberry that had him smiling from ear to ear. I tried the pink lemonade(adult version) it was light and had just enough kick, to start a spring break off right. We will definitely return. ~Mrs. J

Know it sound crazy but I had the burger. It was very good to excellent. Big and juicy and cooked to order M R. Service was good even though spring break had created a crush of business. I would have gone 4 stars if they had some drafts to go with the extensive bottle/can list. It’s just me.

This was the best Dungeness Crab I’ve ever had, perfectly steamed and seasoned. I went here twice on my weekend work trip and had great service both times. They also have an extensive gluten-free menu, which was very helpful in knowing that I was safe with what I ordered.

Stopped here on a Monday afternoon while strolling through Coligny Plaza. For a Monday afternoon, there was a fair amount of customers. We sat right outside(of course, sun) and our server was right over within minutes. Service was quick and the food was outstanding. I ordered Rockabilly Oysters(spinach, smoked bacon and onion studded and baked oysters) and a lemon hollandaise sauce on top. The potato chips are real potato chips and crisped to perfection. I did not try the Three Little Pigs but it was at my table and I thought it was the cutest name for three pulled pork sliders, ever. It was confirmed that it was very good as well. I am not a native of the south but I am loving Hilton Head. It was nice to try this seafood spot, because when you are in the south you have to enjoy the seafood!

It was deader than a doornail when we went in, but whaddya expect on Superbowl Sunday afternoon? We mostly came in to get frogmore stew, but it wasn’t on the menu for lunch. Asked the waiter, and he totally hooked us up. Never had it b4, but it was delicious. So delicious I kept sniffing my fingers after to get that spice smell into my nostrils. Also ordered a couple kids meals – which were standard kids’ meals. Why are kids’ meals so boring? Anyway… I got a wedge salad and calamari too, and both were good. I thought the calamari was a bit rubbery and salty, but I still ate it. I usually don’t fuss unless it’s too unpalatable. Really, most of the stars go to that stew, so good job.

We have a timeshare just around the corner from Steamers so we stop at least once a trip. Sometimes twice. Baskets of steamed peel and eat shrimp are the way to go! Goes great with a house salad and some cheap Yuenglings. Their beer list is fairly extensive with a wide selection of cans and bottles. They’ll also bring you out fresh dinner rolls if you ask! Can’t attest to much else on the menu as we usually go for the shrimp. Service is always friendly and place can get pretty busy during high season.

Still good. Fried shrimp and oysters still good. The shrimp were good, the oysters were good but over breaded. Only real shortcoming was that the cocktail sauce was very watery! Our server was attentive and good. I tried the new potatoes side dish, and was pleasantly surprised(much better than French fries).

During our GA/SC vacation a couple weeks ago, hubby and I found ourselves on a weather detour in Hilton Head. We hadn’t gotten a chance to research food or activities ahead of time since we weren’t expecting to come here, so on a jaunt to the shopping center across the street from our hotel, we found Steamer Seafood. The atmosphere here is very lively. We were seated near three large TVs, so hubby got a chance to watch his sports while having dinner. We were handed two very extensive menus, and everything sounded delicious. Here’s what we did: ROCKABILLYOYSTERS — These were baked with spinach, bacon and onion topped with hollandaise. They were DELICIOUS. Oh my gosh they were good. You get six of them which is the perfect size for two people to split. GRILLEDSCALLOPS — This was my hubby’s choice. You get the option of char-grilled or blackened, so he got blackened. Came with veggies and red potatoes. He liked this very much. Scallops were cooked perfectly. He ate them all before I could even try a bite. CHARLESTONSHRIMP&GRITS — Apparently this is the owner’s favorite so naturally I had to get it. One word: WONDERFUL. I don’t know what it is about Tasso gravy, but good gracious. It makes the meal, for sure. The grits were stickier than others I’ve tried, but just run a forkful through that gravy and voila! Magic. The gravy was a slightly spicier version but it wasn’t bad if you aren’t into spicy. The shrimp were maybe a teeny tiny bit cooked too long, but mostly it was just so dang good. Happy I got to try it. We did not go for dessert this time — we were stuffed! But we enjoyed our meal very much, and happy we decided to come here for dinner. Prices were decent, staff was friendly. Definitely worth the visit.

I am giving Steamers 5 stars for their properly battered and fresh seafood only. I had been in Hilton Head for 2 days and had only encountered either frozen«sea pak like» chewy textured seafood, or seafood that was battered so heavy that you couldn’t taste the fish at all, so I was getting frustrated until Steamers. I should mention that the sides(fries, cole slaw, and hush puppies) with the seafood was just OK…, nothing wrong, but nothing eventful either. My companion did not order any food since this was the 3rd place we had stopped for dinner! The service was good and the prices are only slightly inflated, which is common in a heavy tourist spot like Hilton Head Island. I would definitely return to enjoy their very delicate and subtly battered and seasoned fresh fried seafood

This place was awesome. We had delicious food. Live entertainment. Sat outside by the water. We had a table of six with two small kids. There was about a fifteen minute wait(the place was busy) but it’s easy to walk around Coligueny Square and check out all the little entertaining things and they send you a text message when your table is ready. We had 2 kids meals(served up on Frisbees-yay for beach toys!) The adults had shrimp baskets and my husband and I shared the big seafood platter. All the food was delcious. We did also get the crabby chips and fish dip before as apps and they were amazing — seafood dip is a MUST for anyone going here. Our server was super nice, she brought one of the managers over to show me how to shuck and oyster, lol. Without making me feel like an idiot. The food was great, the portions large. Definitely recommend this place if you’re in Hilton Head.

Took my girlfriend here for her birthday dinner, she had the marinated beef tips for an appetizer, seafood dip for an entrée and the white chocolate cobbler for dessert. ! All were super! I had the Bourbon Street Pasta! All items were a hit!
