Needless to say, I will not be back. Last night was my first time there for a facial which I recieved as a gift. I usually get facials a few times a year, and I am always looking for one at a reasonable price, convenient, and relaxing. I am also 8 months pregnant, and wanted to take advantage of a relaxing oppoortunity. Upon arriving, I waited at the front desk for a moment to be greeted. I stylist jumped in front of my to take care of something at the desk, and then walked away without even greeting me. When the receptionist got off the phone, she told me to go upstairs and wait for my facial appointment. I didn’t know I would have to wait for 45 minutes, before even going back for my scheduled appointment! After waiting 15 minutes, the man doign the facials came out and greeted me, said he was finishing up a client, and would be with me shortly. He says, «You have only been here about ten minutes». and«You don’t have anywhere to be do you?» I was appalled by his unapologetic behavior, as well as his lack of concern for my time! After finally being taken back into the room, the man started on my facial, and told me that extractions were not included in his service, and he would charge extra for that service if I were interested. I have never been charged extra for extractions during ANY facial I have EVER recieved. Is this man’s facial any better than anyone else’s I have been to, in order to pay more for a service that is normally provided? I THINKNOT! I responded by saying i was not interested in paying more for that, and his response was, «Your Skin, Your Choice.» I could not believe he had the audacity to have them come out of his mouth. The entire time i was there, I felt uncomfortable, and as though he was doing me such a huge favor, to do a facial for me, in a place where I should have been completely relaxed. I ended up spending a total of 2 hours there before I was done! I facial usually lasts about an hour, and I feel amazing afterwards. I felt more stressed coming out, and feeling obligated to tip him afterwards, which I probably should not have, but he made it obvious that he was waiting for his tip at the end of the service. Be advised before making an appointment here, you will obviously wait, like you time is not of value to them, and the air is very stuffy inside as well! I would not ever pay for any service from this salon, nor would I go back if it were given to me as a gift!

I’ve been in search of a new salon for a while and I’m happy to say I’ve finally found one. The staff at Essencia are very friendly and you immediately see they put great care into customer service. I made an appointment with Senior Stylist, Janet. She has an amazing creative eye and knows how to cut hair for your facial structure and your features. The salon is beautiful and I love the extensive name brands of products they offer. I couldn’t have been happier with my salon experience.

This place is horrible. I went in to have my hair done, the first stylist got it all wrong in terms of cut, color and style. Called the manager, she apologized and offered a free re-do with another stylist. This one wasn’t any better. Had her kid seated next to me the entire time. Kept asking him if he had«pooped» himself anymore, and then proceeded to tell me he had an accident at school, and she had told him to turn his underwear inside out. Ew! Was working on another client the same time as me, and it took almost THREEHOURS just to color my hair. Needless to say, they are never getting my business again.
