To keep things short and sweet, this was one of the best breakfast places I have been to. The presentation of the meal was delightful. The service was friendly and very prompt. This place also has a home-like feel to it which makes it perfect for a Sunday brunch(or any day really). My final statement about this place is that it is not your standard breakfast, their menu is well crafted and offers uniquely incredible food! Cannot wait for my next visit!

Seems like a nice place but the service was incredibly slow for a breakfast joint. Shouldn’t take an hour to get a few eggs and some pancakes. Only go if you’ve got time to kill and you’re not very hungry.

Went for Sunday morning brunch after church and have to say that I was fairly displeased with several things. The food itself wasn’t bad but our hostess sat the two of us in a small table in the far far back of the room directly next to the bathroom and employee door. There was constant foot traffic by us as a result. This upset me because we passed 3 clean and empty tables on the way and the couple that came in after us was seated in one of these tables. Additionally, i ordered two eggs and wheat toast but they did not have wheat, or white toast. I chose rye which is not really a bread that I like. When the toast came it was very lightly buttered and the butter they had at the table was only he size of a nickel. Like I said the food wasn’t bad but the service was very lackluster. I did not feel taken care of. I understand that Sunday morning is a busy time but this place is really not that big. They only have maybe 15 tables. Considering the numerous other options available for breakfast food I likely won’t be returning. Unless of course my wife insisted.

First time at the Biscuit. I had the Spanish Bennie. It was very good. As each plate went by to be served, I was tempted to take a small sample. I didn’t think anyone would notice a small nibble was gone. Everything looked fabulous. I will definitely make the trip back just to try something else.

Fantastic breakfast. I was on a business trip to Grand Rapids and saw a segment on the local news featuring The Biscuit. The food looked so amazing I drove down to Holland to try. It did not disappoint. The food tasted as good as it looked. So very creative. It was clear that the owners are using only farm fresh ingredients. The sausage gravy was the best I have had. My scramble was terrific as well. Looking forward to my next trip to Grand Rapids. I will certainly make my way to Holland to eat at The Biscuit!

Why, oh why have we waited so long to try the Biscuit? The peanut butter mascarpone mousse waffles were Heaven on earth. Melt in your mouth delish! Migas was a scramble with a mix of fresh mex goodies topped with crisp tortilla strips, served with a side of the best sourdough toast this side of San Francisco! We will become ‘regulars’ for sure and you should, too!

I’m so happy we were able to drop in. It has been too long since we have seen one another, TBC Chicken Apple hash never faileth. Pretty bummed about the Eggs Lilyana* not having the pork shoulder anymore. I would’ve like the sausage to be mixed into the entrée not just over it. Of course, the biscuits were superb with that homemade strawberry jam– yummy! Love this place so much, we always leave with an entrée to take back east to our home.

So glad we found this place for breakfast. It was a perfect spot. I had a veggie omlet and the eggs were so fluffy. My entire table loves their food! We went out for breakfast at three different places in Holland and this was the best by far.

This place sets the bar for what a breakfast/brunch place should be. The menu was riddled with items made in house and fresh. Absolutely delicious… A must try. Our waitress Amanda was not only friendly but was knowledgeable about the menu.

I love love love this place. Today was my first time ever going there and I loved it! My husband and I decided we wanted a really good breakfast this morning so we thought why not give it a try? It was surprisingly busy for a Thursday. We were seated in a timely fashion. The waitress was very polite and recommended her favorites. I ended up having the peanut butter waffles. Waffles with peanut butter mousse, strawberries, caramel sauce, and vanilla whipped cream. Can it get any better? my husband tried the breakfast tacos and they were a hit! Good balance of flavor. Also for how much they give you, it is very well priced. Definitely recommend it to anyone. Good atmosphere, friendly staff, and most importantly, great food.

My wife and I had brunch(more like a late breakfast) here on a Saturday morning. As we walked up, we could tell there was a long wait. Our total wait time was about 25 mins. Service is quick, so waiting isn’t too bad. Since this was our first time here, we liked how it was very busy. I had the eggs Harper and my wife had the salmon crepes. The Eggs Harper was delicious. The caramelized onions gives it a nice contrast to the eggs, biscuit, and bacon. I recommend over easy eggs on this dish. As for the salmon crepes, we agreed it wasn’t as tasty as my order, but good for what it was and it we appreciated an option other than the norm. It’s difficult to describe, but we thought it was missing something to the taste. Still, worth trying. Definitely check this place out which is right outside of downtown on a small town street. If coming with a group, get here early since the place isn’t that big unless you don’t mind waiting.

We stopped at The Biscuit randomly on our way up north after finding it on Unilocal.I have to say, the reviews I read prior to stopping did not disappoint. We stopped in around 10am on Saturday and they had a line. We waited about 25 minutes to be seated, but it was well worth the wait. Our server was nice enough but the food was the star. The menu has unique options I wouldn’t usually consider putting together as well as the traditional breakfast items. At our table we had a waffle, frittata, French toast, and the daily special(biscuit with goat cheese) — everything was so good we just ended up taking bites off of each other’s plates because we wanted to try everything. Whether you’re in the area or just stopping through, I highly suggest giving The Biscuit a shot!

It’s a small place located on a cute but abandoned strip of buildings. Not sure why so many places are out of biz. We came on a sat early afternoon and got seated right away. The three of us ordered: Huevos Rancheros, biscuits and gravy, and the peanut butter marscapone waffles. All were delish! They even have a lovely selection of tea. I had the organic rooibos chai and it was great. Some complained here that staff is not friendly. We had a good experience even though the waitress wasn’t very outgoing. I’ve also seen reviews about portion size. Sizes are a bit smaller than a normal restaurant however, the ingredients are fresh so a ton of food isn’t needed. We all left full. When in town again, I will be back…

Prior reviews state that the food is the selling point for the Biscuit. I have to agree, because it is certainly not the customer service. Our waitress had her nose just a little too high in the air. Food was fantastic, especially the chicken apple hash and the granola pancakes. Worth checking out if you don’t like… Talking to people.

Went here for lunch. They have a variety of breakfast and lunch options. I got the cinnamon french toast special. It was good but very small. I left hungry. It also was around 10 dollars which was definitely expensive. My friend had a spicy chorizo type omelette. He liked it. Parking is a challenge on the street and they dont take amex which is a pain for expense reports. Service was ok.

You can’t be in a hurry at The Biscuit. The service has never been fast, but the food makes up for all that for the patient folk. I can say with pride that I have tried every item on page two of the menu, and every time I have not been disappointed with the wonderful food that comes out of the kitchen. You can’t go wrong! The only thing that saddens me is that the Breakfast Brownie used to be the most over-the-top gorgeous dish on the menu, and now it’s been reduced to something ala carte.

We stopped here on the way home from Grand Rapids for brunch. I really enjoyed the food, as did my husband; everything we ordered came out quickly and was hot and delicious. However, it’s hard not to be slightly disgruntled at the horrible waitress we had. The lady who sat us was very nice, as was the guy who put our name on the waiting list, but this waitress was just awful. At first it was mostly just that she didn’t say or do much beyond take our orders(no small talk, didn’t ask if we had questions, etc.) and then it became slightly ridiculous to get refills on coffee. It was almost as if she was deliberately ignoring my husband. The worst though, was when she laid down the check and started to walk away(again, not saying anything like«thanks», «have a good day») and I asked if we paid in the front. She gave me this look and response as if I was an idiot. We couldn’t believe how rude it was; we actually laughed about it in disbelief! I’m not sure if she was having a bad day or what, but that’s unacceptable. We were extremely polite and pretty low maintenance, so I don’t understand why we were treated that way. As a result, the next time we’re in the area we will NOT be back.
