Nothing really special about this joint. Drinks were LA priced(aka above the normal). Dance floor was of a decent size and there was plenty of room to get my boogie on. Not sure how often it’s like this, but it didn’t look like the type of club that would be poppin every night. Décor was very nice. I loved the couches although I didn’t sit in them. Crowd was mixed and pretty for the most part. Nice! Didn’t have a problem getting in. Bonus point! A photographer took a bunch of pictures and passed her card out. I found my pics on her website! Overall just alright. Not dope, not horrible.

it was the only club with no line and no cover, so we gave it a shot. walking around hollywood blvd in heels is just no fun anyway.(how the hell does carrie walk so much in heels in sex and the city??? i’ve always wondered that) we got in early and the place was pretty dead. it was really pretty inside tho, and super dark. there were couches to lounge on which were meant for bottle service, but we took over one anyway. we peeked at the bottle service menu and i almost fell off the couch when i saw the prices. we stuck with the bar… drinks were strong and good! i was surprised. there’s another area to chill upstairs… mostly booths to lounge and a dj, a small outdoor patio for the smokers, and one small dance floor. the music that night was some hip-hop mixed with electronic. we were kinda diggin it. it got packed as the night went on. parking is always a bitch in hollywood. the best thing about walking back to the car is… running into the cart with the bacon wrapped hot dogs!

I had a great time here. The room isn’t huge, but it’s really open-feeling and they didn’t pack too many people in. The patio outside is a bit small but I only went out there a couple times. The music was awesome, I never once during the night thought he played a bad song. He quickly jumped from one hit to the next. I went in and literally before I knew it, I was dancing with some hot girl and her friends(things went well). Our group filled about half the club(club capacity is 300). I thought the drinks were a bit pricey, even for Hollywood. As mentioned by others, this place is basically a lounge with a big dance floor. There’s several couches/padded bench seats around the room

Just another bar trying to be super hip in the heart of Hollywood and it’s smaller than I thought. Décor was OK. When you could see it. Tree branches were kind of interesting. Second Floor is practically meaningless. It’s really tiny up there. Was there for a party with free drinks and the female bartender I had practically shoved a sign telling me to tip here. Uh, excuse me? You shouldn’t have to do that. I’m in the hospitality business and I’ve been to enough open bars and free drink events and I usually tip but in this case, I didn’t because you don’t ever force your patrons to tip. If they don’t want to, it’s up to them. They’re call. Never yours. Maybe you spilled something without apologizing or maybe you were too slow with some lame excuse. Or in this case, you were just a pompous jerk! No wonder i don’t hit Hollywood clubs that much anymore.

The best part of this little club/lounge is definitely the music. Boy, we were impressed! The DJ seemed to move quickly through each song and after your initial disappointment that the song you liked has ended, he puts on another hit, and you’re off dancing again. The place isn’t the biggest, on the darker side, but definitely a beautiful/subtle crowd with classy décor. Even though there was animé porn playing on the screen next to the dance floor, we still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We had no problem getting in with a decent ratio(approximately 2:1) and knowing a promoter. $ 20 minimum on credit cards for drinks though I’ve never really had a problem hitting the minimum in Hollywood.

Since our attempt at getting into a random Jane’s Addiction gig at La Cita in Downtown LA was a total bust — we ventured out to our original destination. Club Central hosted a launch promo-party for Activison/XBOX’s new release of Call of Duty 5, I believe. I am not into video games, but my BF is a total gamer and an Activision Alumni. We waited in line(again) and dropped our names at the front. «Yes, WEAREONTHEGODDAMNLIST for this one!» The inside was your typical dark-sleek LA nightclub. Modern, plain, simple — lots of under weight chicks walking around in stilettos and mini skirts, chubby dorks in plaid shirts and unkempt hair, me in fishnets and black everything. Yeap — I totally fit in with this crazy bunch. Video game stations were set up for guests to preview and play the release. I was more interested in what adult beverage I could down in the next 5 seconds… To my horror — the bar was not complimentary. Thisclose to ruining my night — however, a pretty gal with a tray of chicken skewers approached me and offered me some FREE food. Ok, I am starting to dig this party. The drinks were fine(typical LA prices) — margaritas were flowing, the DJs were spinning shit I wouldn’t listen to even if I were deaf. The skanks were flailing around, acting flirtatious, innocent and cute. I didn’t buy it – you have«take me home and fuck me» MAC lip gloss on. Who are YOU kidding, oh Slaggy Fresh. There were a few cholos there with cameras. I assume they were from Telemundo covering the big story. I don’t know? We made our way to the upstairs sections where Guitar Hero stations were set up. There was a drum set, bass, guitar and mic ready for any gamer. Sweet — nothing I like more than playing Guitar Hero while highly inebriated. Our party of four quickly took over one station and rocked out a few songs. My turn to sing a Pat Benatar song came and I nailed that shit to the cross. That is, until some a-hole skinny dork at another station heckled me with«YOUSUCK!!! and tried to piss on my parade. Naturally, I had to step up to him and give him a tongue lashing. He apologized and I told him to «fuck off» with a smile. The event was«meh» and I probably will never ever come back to this club again. I would have much rather been at a dumpy Mexican bar watching Jane’s Addiction =(

What I liked: The interior is nice and classy. It’s very dark and they had the movie«Barbarella» playing against one side of the wall(go rent it! It’s one strange ass movie!) The crowd was fairly diverse; a very young hip crowd of all different ethnicities. The DJ was not too bad, spinning random 90’s music, house, and some top 40’s from a year ago. The bartenders were super nice and attentive. It’s not your typical club nor your typical lounge; it’s more lounge-y clubby(a lounge with a dance floor in the middle of it). What I didn’t like: The club didn’t open until 10:30; while other clubs had doors open at 10pm. It didn’t seem very popular since there was no line out the door and everyone had to pay the $ 20 cover. One of our female friends was short $ 10 and they wouldn’t let her go in. They made one of the guys in line spot her. Lame! Oh and the venue is pretty small. All in all, not the worst lounge/club I’ve been to, but certainly not the best.

I am not a club person, I’m more of a dive bar person but I take pics at clubs and all of them seem alike until now. I just started working for the promoters of Central and I gotta say this club is awesome. I really like the décor. It’s not clubby, more like very upclass chill. The crowd was cool and not your usual crowd I run into. Atleast the girls had some taste and did not all look cookie cutter girls and the boys actually had style. I swear I didn’t see hardly any Affliction shirts and that was a breath of fresh air. The best thing about this place was the music. DJ White was spinning and he is one of the best DJ’s I’ve ever heard. He has a knack of mixing just the right amount of old school and present day music. I would go there even if I wasn’t working!

I’ve been to plenty Hollywood and LA clubs, and this one is just nothing special. Just another dark, stylish, expensive club filled with lots of pretty girls and weird guys. Get there after midnight(before it’s just a big empty room). Don’t pay too much attention to the so-so music. Maybe get a table if u can, cuz the place gets hella crowded at a certain point. and. if u want a prime Hollywood club, go somewhere else(hint: area, green door, villa, etc).

Don’t go here before midnight, because the entire spot will be empty. Though, you will be able to marvel at the minimalist décor. It’s nice inside with a spacious enough dance floor. The smoking patio is nice, and is adjacent to some couches inside, which makes it very convenient to smoke if you’re sitting there. The glass that separates the patio from the couches aren’t open until later though, which irks me sometimes. Anyway, it’s a late crowd here… The place really starts to jump off after midnight and fills up rather quickly. They’re always good to me here, so I really see no point in having to wait in line at some other pretentious Hollywood club… The crowd is usually pretty diverse and the music they play is always on point(at least for my taste).

Nothing really special about the venue. Nice cozy place to get together with friends. Get a table and order some drinks– while watching the DJ spin. Drinks are on the pricey side with bottles of grey goose up to $ 350. Bottle of cristal is $ 800. Parking is easy in the lot next door for $ 5.

Central… central…oh central, where should I start with thee? You made me fall for you that night, continued to string me along for couple more months… saying things and so on… my friends told me to let you go, that I deserve better… but I, with the lil hope that I have left, hang onto it, like it would save me from drowning. I made up excuses ‘he is just busy… he misses me… he said that’. *pause* my friend throwing the book ‘He is not that into you’ at my head. DAMN!!! =/ Ok, ok. I will spare you the agonizing details of my latest infatuation. I got over it… *cough cough* Where was I? Oh ja, my girly and me cut the line… cause we are girls.(another day, why I love being a girl) No cover before 11pm…$ 15 after, me thinks. It’s a nice spot to hang, since it had couches surrounding the dance area. Music was whack… but after consuming 2 – 3 drinks… I dance to everything(and I mean EVERYTHING). The crowd was versatile… you got ur hipsters with the lipsters(the smoch left, smoch right peeps) and everything in between! Not sure, how the crowd is now… like I said… I went there MONTHS ago!

Central isnt that big but its not that small. Theres plenty of room to walk. My party got bottle service and we were treated very well. The 2 bottles we popped were reasonable and our table was right next to the dance floor. The crowd was diverse. It was slow at first but the promoter told me that they usually have a late crowd. Sure enough… the crowd trickled in and next thing you know it was packed. Lots of hot women. I strongly recommend Central on Saturdays.

avoid it like the plague! a big brown room with a movie playing overhead is not a lounge! the bouncers think they’re hot sh*t cuz they’re next to LAX! just because you’re next to LAX that has lines backed up even when u were shouting last call, it doesn’t mean you can charge people $ 20/person for cover, with $ 20 for valet. guest list or not, you still can’t get in and you still have to wait in line to watch other people(the wannabe trendy 30+yr olds) pass you up cuz they’re «tight» with that btchy bouncer that just said«a couple more mins» to you. drinks? way expensive. two drinks with a double shot for $ 50. and it was super weak! where was my double shot? i tasted half a shot, if any! also, they need to reconsider the ventilation in there. they have an «outdoor patio area» for smoking, but it’s only the slight awning hanging over the roof that provides a little bit of breathing for the smoke to ventilate. other than that, expect cramped and suffocating. music was ok. it ranged from your top 40 hits to one or two old school hiphop hits to the typical 80’s hits. get your money’s worth at all the other clubs and lounges in hollywood that are ten times better than Central!

I think this spot used to be Rokbar… wasn’t that happening back then, and nothing’s changed… I mean, to be fair, the music was good, and there was plenty of room to dance, but there was TOO much room, you know what I mean? Not enough bodies to fill the place… Bartenders were super friendly and pretty…

You’ve probably heard about this new celeb hang out spot in hollywood blah blah blah. It did not impress me the first time. Went back again on a Sat night with a friend visiting from nyc and I felt like I was a bad host. LOL. Music’s okay. Décor is decent but I just can’t determine if it’s a club or a lounge. Maybe it’s a club/lounge but if that’s what they’re going for they’ve failed. Nonetheless, it seems like a good place to chill on a weekday night not on wknds…

When you walk in, it is just one big brown room. There are tables all the way around the dance floor. And good luck getting air, because the patio is insanely small. It gets 3 stars because I was there with a good group of people, and the music was OK, but not stellar. The décor was simple and understated. I kinda liked it, but kinda hated it. It’s iffy.

Came here after having dinner next door at Parc. We lucked out because they put us on the list for having dinner. Nevertheless, I was paranoid that they wouldn’t let us in even though we were a bunch of attractive chickenheads. So I asked the waiter if we’d have any probs — and he said«no.» He actually spoke to the manager and had him walk us over just in case we were hassled! It’s pretty inside but pretty small and very very very young crowd. I felt like an old ass hag. Hung out with Shaun Wayans who was very nice btw. Bumped into Wilmer Valderama and said: «yo mama’s so fat she uses a futon as a tampon.» He forced a chuckle/smile out. Ha. Oh and Avril Lavigne was there as well. Don’t think I’ll be going back.

We walked over to Central from Day After on a Friday night(11:30p)and it was waay better! Central is a lot smaller, but the crowd was def better. It was young, hip, trendy, beautiful and full of attitude. I walked into the bathroom and never seen so many blonds in one room, a tiny one at that. It was funny because they all looked like carbon copies of Paris/Lindsay/those girls from The Hills and Britney Pre-KFed. Let’s just say the crowd was not original… they all looked like walking reality TV shows, but really easy on the eyes. The party we were with got a table right at the door so the wait was minimal. I loved walking right pass that chaotic long line spilling over the sidewalk… those poor girls frantically calling people on their cell, freezin their asses off… ha! Ok, I’ll stop gloatin’ We had a table upstairs where it’s a lot more quiet so it’s easier to actually talk and hear ourselves, but it’s also pretty ghetto up there with just dark narrow walls that lead to the DJ’s booth and a small opening to watch people dance downstairs. I personally didn’t mind being up there, but some did. My favorite part of the night was spent on the dance floor… from what I recall the music was consistently good, with different fun mixes of club music… new hip hop, 80s hits, euro pop… and much more I’m sure… anyway, def will keep this place in mind for next time I’m feeling like I want to party like a rockstar.

Okay, So went to this bar last Friday. DJ set was okay – mix of new and old hip-hop but what really shocked me was how small the place is. From outside, it looks like it would be much bigger. The drinks were on the expensive end(typical hollywood club) and the interior is nice. Lots of wood, cool moving graphic on the wall and a decent dance floor for the size(again smallish). The smoking area was nice – open doors from bar. The crowd(mainly 20s) wasn’t anything to note except for a crazy dancing guy – he was doing every move imaginable – definitely got a riot out of my friends & I!
