Cinquecento Pizza Gelato & Cafe

Not sure if they even have table service. Still sitting here outside. Almost 15 mins, no one has even come by with a menu. I see other tables sitting with nothing in front of them. Don’t waste your time. I’m leaving.

I ate here last night and really enjoyed the place. I have passed by on Hollywood Blvd several times and have noticed their bright decorating and outdoor moped seating. I’m glad we went in this time. There is a large pizza oven in the front of the restaurant as well as a gelato bar and espresso bar. There is a glassed off corner with a giant mixer. The pizzas were being fired up as we watched fresh gelato being made. Its a nice airy space, with a very interesting design. Somewhat automotive. We had a Hawaiian pizza and a stuffed tomato (with fresh mozzarella) hearts of palm and prosciutto di parma salad. Everything tasted very fresh and delicious. The pizza is a thinner crispy crust which I liked and they don’t skimp on toppings. A pizza and salad split between two of us was more than enough food. Unfortunately, we didn’t even save room for gelato, but I know I’ll be back. Very friendly service. I’m surprised it wasn’t busier on a Saturday night, but I will definitely be a return patron.

Very nice place, cozy and inviting. We came with our 5yo, and they gave him a piece of dough to play with and «make his own pizza». The opportunity to watch the whole process is also a big plus! The pizza was thin and crispy, and the flan and ice-​cream were fabulous too! The prices are fair.

Love it! Been here twice and both times I have really enjoyed it. Our waiter Roberto F. Is the best! And I take one to go! My fav is the pizza marguerita. Thanks for everything Roberto!

I came in for an early lunch. First time at this place. Loved the food. Pizza and empanadas. Sat in the outside area and just had a great time. Will definitely go again. On a side note, their ice cream could possibly be the best ice cream I’ve ever had.

This is for service only. I used to love this place, would always come here for their 500 burger, after tonight however, I’m not sure I will, the staff managed to ruin my date night, 40 minutes drive, for this experience. Apparently me and my boyfriend were not as worthy of nice service as a couple sitting not far away from us which, according to their staff were regulars. The whole issue started with an extra table attached to the table of a couple sitting not too far away from us, that my boyfriend asked if he could use, to which action, the manager reacted by pushing rudely the table back, which would’ve been ok, if only they didn’t escalate the issue by calling us «ill-​mannered» or actually, to quote the server «without manners». With 3 tables occupied on a Sunday evening, I actually hoped for an amazing night…

Fantastic local favorite for fun Italian with a distinctive, contemporary soul. Great selections for lunch and dinner that are consistently splendid. I personally enjoy the gnocchi and white pizza margarita.
Never, ever leave without sampling the gelato. Their serving sizes are perfect and the flavors are simply amazing. Enjoy often.

New to Hollywood/​Miami. This was one of my first stops. The waiter was super friendly. BEST PIZZA I’ve ever had in my whole life. I’m a cheese pizza person. I order Parmesan, feta, and pesto with light sauce. I wanted to eat the entire pizza right there. Didn’t want to seem greedy, so I devoured it later that night. Dangerous for me, good for you! Can’t wait to go back!

I came with some friends here and I ate a pizza. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good as well. Acceptable. The server was nice and smiling and happy and I could see he was giving the best but wasn’t prepared enough because made some mistakes he shouldn’t have taken but that’s ok probably he was new. May be because when I sat it was almost in closing hours. Thank you anyway for doing your best.

This place is right in the heart of downtown Hollywood. I love that you can see the brick oven and watch the magic of pizza making! I came in for lunch and they have a pretty good lunch menu with personal pizzas for $ 9. I kept it classic with the cheese and the dough was baked to perfection. I’m also not a fan of thick and saucy pizza so theirs was ideal for me! They have a nice outdoor seating area with really fun «moped» seats on their mini bar. Indoor seating available too with views of the pizza oven and gelato section!

The best restaurant on the Boulevard. Food is always fresh and tasty and service is nothing less than five stars.
Highly recommended.

Whatever we order always a side of grilled vegetables the best. Brick oven pizza is local favorite Recommend eggplant parm fresh homemade pasta. Perfect place for vegetarian but you don’t have to be. Steaks and hamburgers so delicious
Okay basically as a local for me it’s the go to restaurant.

This is for service only. I never tried the food. If you attempt to place a takeout order, you are met with distrust and a demand for a credit card number. If you want to pay cash your order will not be started until they are paid. Wow.

Great pizza! Mediocre service. They have indoor/​outdoor seating, nice place to bring the dog along.

My husband and I came here for dinner the other night I had the grilled chicken over baby spinach leaves at first the play did not look like it would fill me up. Anyway I started to eat the chicken was well prepared deliciously seasoned and perfectly grilled I didn’t even need to use dressing the flavorful chicken and its own juices created a sauce that complimented the the baby spinach The chicken salad had chicken, fresh spinach, gorgonzola, caramelized onions, crispy bacon, sliced toasted almond, mandarin, mushroom, and dijon mustard dressing. I didnt use the dressing thats how delicious it was. My husband had the beef
empanadas. The meat was well seasoned and prepared in a flaky crust. my husband said it was crispy and delicious and not too greasy after he ordered the first two he ordered two more! We also liked the small table settings that created a casual but intimate atmosphere we would definitely recommend this place to anybody looking for good food and a nice causal night out.

I love Italian food. And their eggplant parm was delicious! But they gave me spaghetti for the side and it was hard, tasteless, and it felt like they hadn’t cooked it all the way. They replaced it for me with veggies so that was nice of them. The pasta not being cooked well was unfortunate since that’s the main reason I go to Italian restaurants to begin with. My boyfriend and I attempted to split the check, they ended up charging my card twice. After my server was confused about it forever she finally put a refund back on the card, but of course that takes like 2 work days. The servers are a little to relax for me. It took forever to get someone to ask me if everything was okay, if I needed anything, or if I wanted my check. I’m pretty patient, but when I have to look around and try to make eye contact with you multiple times to get service, that’s not looking too good. Besides all that, it really is a beautiful looking restaurant, atmosphere is nice, and their sangria pitchers are awesome. If you have a lot of time and patience it’s worth giving a try.

Went there on a Saturday night. It was windy and cold so most places on the Blvd. had plenty of room. We had no problem getting a table outside.
While there were only 4 or 5 tables with patrons in the restaurant, it took a long time for our waiter to come take our order (there seemed to be a certain amount of confusion between her and the busboy). Our two first choice as entrees were also not available but thankfully the selection is great and we had no problem falling to our second choice (which could have been our first choice anyway).
We had the fried calamari as an appetizer and they were extremely good. As an entrée, I had the mascarpone and pear ravioli with butter sage sauce and my wife had the seafood pasta — the chef had no problem changing the sauce to her preferences. Both plates were top notch and we were extremely pleased with our meals. Alas, we had no more room and had to skip the gelato.
We unfortunately had to wait again a very long time to get our receipt.
Would gladly go back. 5 stars except for the slow service, but otherwise extremely good food.

This place has awesome gelato, pasta and pizza but it’s only good if you order TO GO. The service is awful or should I say no service at all.
We have always stopped there for gelato but never tried the place for lunch until today. I wanted to have the awesome homemade pasta that Beto makes. We sat at a table inside after not a so friendly welcome of the server that gave us the menus.
After 18 minutes of being completely ignored by the server we decided to leave.
The place had only 3 tables and we were completely ignored, very bad experience.
Beto pasta is the best but order to go.

I wish I could split the review between food and service. The food is a 5. Outstanding. Fresh. Home made. The service we received was horrendous. The server decided it was social hour at the table next to ours which meant no one else in our section got any notice. Also, they need to inform their staff not to bathe in perfume. It’s really off putting when you’re eating.
I’ll be ordering to go from here on out.

The best pizza we have had in a long time. We ordered 4 pizzas for our party. We also had a cheese burger. The burger was the reason we came but all of the food was great.
First, the burger is fresh ground beef. Very tasty and cooked perfectly. The bread is also made here and made the burger not like any of the others in town. I had the melted mozzarella with lettuce and tomato. Nothing fancy but it was dead on for a tasty burger. It was enough for 2 people to share. We chose the sweet potato fries but I would have preferred the steak fries. In old school.
The choice of pizzas was endless. I had the pesto and it was delicious. Others in my party had the 3 cheese, and the prosciutto/​arugula special. All baked in a wood oven.
The pasta at other tables looked great.
The Gelato was very good.
The prices were very good for what was served. I’m sure you be taking home some.
