If you’re looking for fresh, creative, delicious, and memorable vegan dishes that come out piping hot do not bother with this place. Some friends and I went over the weekend and we can not believe how awful of an experience we had. I’m truly disappointed. I really hope that vegans and non vegans alike do not think that this place represents what vegan food is. Here’s a breakdown of what we ordered and what caused us to feel the way we do: Coffee: Never received. Pigs in a blanket: We received this item at ROOMTEMPERATURE. I figured, what the heck. my son, who is 2.5 years old won’t mind and it’ll be easier for him to eat without me worrying about burning his tongue. We were never offered any ketchup or mustard. We could tell it was just a smart dog veggie dog wrapped in a Pillsbury croissant dough. $ 3. He literally spit it out and refused to finish it. I can’t say I blame him. «Skinny Pop» Popcorn: I saw some popcorn for sale so I grabbed a bag, thinking we could munch on that while we waited for our food. I checked the expiration date and it said: best by Jan 2015. I know that’s not an expiration date but it seemed a little weird to me that she was selling something that was that old. Bratwurst: This was actually pretty good. Only issue we had with it was the fact that we could have made it ourselves because it was made from all prepackaged ingredients. The sausage was definitely tofurkey brand, the sauerkraut from a jar, and then some potato chip straws thrown on top. Like I said, it was good, but definitely nothing special. $ 6 Mediterranean Platter: When my friends received their Mediterranean platter, which consisted of hummus, spring mix greens and falafel, we knew right away we got jipped. She charged $ 12 for the tiniest portion. The hummus tasted off. definitely not fresh. We cut into the falafel and we realized it was STILLFROZEN. Yes, FROZEN. You could see ICE on the bottom of each falafel. When we took them back, no apology, just«I’ll give you some other ones.» WTF? If I were her, I would have been mortified to serve that to PAYING customers. Needless to say, at this point we were really worried about what else to expect. I know no business is perfect and we were hoping it was just a mistake but we couldn’t believe this place was recommended by the information booth. Spinach and Seitan Lasagna: When we received this item, our hopes were renewed. It looked really good and I couldn’t wait to dig in because I was so hungry. I cut into it, ready to take a bite when my friend suggested to cut it half and check the middle to see if it was cooked through. COLD. At this point we were in TOTALDISBELIEF. I have NEVER experienced anything like this at any other restaurant. We take back our food, AGAIN, and she barely apologized. Just«oh sorry.» $ 10 Tacos: We finally get the tacos we ordered and they had beans instead of the«beef» that was advertised. My friends said the beans were REALLY good. BUT… the taco shell tasted stale. We realized that we no longer wanted the rest of the food we ordered so we canceled it. Paid and left that place as quick as possible. We will NEVER be back, and I will never recommend this place to anyone.
