Food is always great and on Tuesdays they have all you can eat tacos. I’m always recommending this place

Well if you are looking for the bean dip I don’t think they offer it anymore because we didn’t get it. The hostess needs more training, we told her we were a party of 8 and she just replied she didn’t have any tables with a blank stare… And awkward silence. We asked if we could sit in a big booth and she said yeah… ??? On the bright side Our server was so nice and attentive! But if you are looking for real Mexican food don’t come here. I liked the live music that comes to your table and the environment was nice but the food wasn’t what I was expecting… Nice place but not coming back.

My family and friend got sick from eating there last night. Something wasn’t fresh but that is enough to never return. My toddler was sick all night with stomach pains. Either the chicken was left out of temperature or was reheated multiple times. I am reporting this to the health department.

My visit today went fairly smoothly. Almost immediately you are asked for your drink selection and shortly after they bring out an appetizer which consists of refried bean dip with nacho chips(oh so good but $ 1.50 for another small plate of dip). I was surprised when I saw the menu had a vegi-mex section which basically contains vegan/vegetarian friendly meals as well. I was very happy and FULL with my veggie enchiladas. — Waitress and staff are polite as far as I could tell,(rather rushed) the only minuscule thing I didn’t like was the mariachi band coming over table by table. Last time I came, they didn’t ask if we wanted them to play and just began singing and making a ruckus which made me anxious, however this time they asked if we would like them to play and we politely declined. — The food portions are HUGE. Wait for the food was around 10 minutes or so(could hardly notice while munching on some yummy nacho chips). One regular plate can fill two or three people. All of the plates are always incredibly hot so please beware of that if you bring children. — The bathroom wasn’t really well kept but I didn’t mind that too much, the inside of the restaurant does look relatively clean but it could be better. Overall, I would recommend this place because of the huge portions, quality food and slightly economic prices. (Bummed that they don’t offer happy hour specials over the weekend, amazing sangria though!)

RAWCHICKENALERT!!! WASTEOFMONEY!!! HORRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE!!! I picked up my order of two chicken fajita quesadillas to go. When I got home and started eating I noticed the chicken was very undercooked. Although the chicken had grill marks on the outside the middle of the chicken was pink. I called and spoke to a male manager who flat out denied my request for a refund. He did not offer any kind of resolution and told me he would not do anything about the situation. The manager did not care that I spent over $ 30 on food that was NOTEDIBLE. His answer to me was that«All our chicken is cooked the same and all the chicken comes out good» I assured him it was undercooked as I have been going to Azteca for the last year and never had this problem before. I will never pick up or take my family to eat here again. This manager does not know anything about customer service. He thinks all his food is perfect. Well it’s not.

Three of us decided to try Taco Tuesday last night. It sounded like a deal…$ 5 for all you can eat tacos. How can you go wrong… right? Believe me, you are better off even going to Taco Bell. They bring you 3 tacos on a paper plate initially, and that was more than enough for us. The tacos have no flavor, and yet you keep«tasting» the meat for hours after. The best part of the dinner was leaving. I wish I had seen an honest review of this«event» before wasting the time and money to eat at this restaurant.

Came for the Taco Tuesday all you can eat tacos for $ 5. Great deal but HORRIBLE service. Ate at the bar. Only one guy named Julio seemed to be working(very hard). The rest of the women were just standing in the bar area talking. Everyone with empty glasses was just staring at them. Hey manager that’s where you make your money on booze! Tacos were tasty and Julio deserves a raise. Fire the girls.

I am Mexican so I have high expectations and this place didn’t even come close. The tostada was not great. The Horchata water was too sweet. And the service was kinda rushed.

I came here out of convenience since I was in the area. I walked in and it was about 5 minutes for someone to notice me, fine. I sat down and decided to get the taco Tuesday deal which is all you can eat tacos for 5 but a with the purchase drink awesome! I sat and waited till someone passed by about 10 mins and well let’s just say their tacos were underwhelming… I’ve eaten Mexican tacos before, but never out of a hard shell… I think I could’ve bought these same tacos at Taco Bell. I then had soft tacos which was the same with a flour tortilla, not a regular tortilla which is what’s normally used for Mexican tacos. Just the whole thing seemed odd. It wasn’t baaaad but would definitely not recommend.

Beware margaritas are normally $ 4.00, During happy hour they are 2 for 1 but cost $ 8.50 go figure… If you ask management it’s because they are«better» house margaritas… I thought a house margarita was a house margarita no matter what time it is but whatever. The bigger issue with this restaurant is the lil miserable guy that claimed to be a manager. Absolutely terrible customer service. The bartender was nice tho.

This is the worst place I have ever been to. It doesn’t deserve the title«restaurant». the problem is, my wife LOVES the place. So we go here, she eats, I don’t, we get home and I leave to eat somewhere else. Lastly, I have to say, this sad place is very lucky I don’t have the power to order a hellhole closed. But ENJOY!!!

The only thing authentic about this place is the music. The only good thing about my meal was the chips and salsa which came to us as we sat at the table which was odd cause our waiteress hadn’t even introduced herself but nice cause we were starving. My mom ordered the pollo foundido which had American cheese on it which was very odd and tasted pretty bad… Currently want to gag as I think about the taste… I ordered the steak tacos which had so much cilantro on it, it was all I can smell and taste. Everything else on my plate(the rice and beans) was extremely salty. Next time I think I’ll just go to chipotle.

Sometimes a building seems destined to never host a successful restaurant. Hollywood, FL has its share of these places and I’m sure the same can be said of towns across the country and beyond. When I first moved to Hollywood, the building was a Bennigan’s(remember those!) It was Conine’s for a while, and then came Patron Azteca and the neighborhood has never looked back. Patron Azteca is a mid-scale Mexican restaurant that is quietly stating that it is here to stay… and that’s a good thing. The service is fast and friendly. You’ve barely sunk into the seat before warm chips and salsa arrive. The salsa is not your typical chunky stuff that more resembles bruschetta than salsa. It isn’t bad. Not at all. It’s good and smacks of authenticity, like a recipe from abuelita. At least, that’s the impression this semi-gringo was left with. We ordered tacos. I went with steak and chicken, my wife went al pastor, and my daughter chose ground beef. I tried them all, not because I am a greedy piglet, but because I wanted to share my thoughts with you, dear reader. My younger daughter ordered a chicken quesadilla and must have liked it because I never got to «inspect» the merchandise. The portions are generous, but not intimidating or worse, wasteful. We took home lunch for the next day and it survived the nuking quite well. The meats are well seasoned and the veggies are fresh. Beer from the tap is cold and reasonably priced. The margaritas are always nice although we didn’t enjoy any this time. My favorite part of the experience was the mariachi band. Three Cuban guys belting out music from a forgotten era. They take requests and work for tips. These guys are worth the trip. So if you’re on the west side of Hollywood and would like a nice, sit-down Mexican meal that will fill your soul as well as your belly, check out Patron Azteca. Bring your appetite for food and some great tunes mariachi style!

Patron Azteca is cozy, fun and the food is great. Not to mention the margaritas are in my top five of all my favorite Mexican restaurants. This restaurant has authentic Mexican cuisine and also has a Mariachi band singing to the customers on some nights(by the way, the band is excellent). The service is always timely and the restaurant is well-kept. They currently have a Taco Tuesdays special were you can eat unlimited tacos with the purchase of a drink, which is well worth the deal. I personally love that the food is of good quality; it really tastes like you are having an authentic, home-cooked Mexican dish. My personal favorite is the Azteca Tortilla Soup– it comes with avocado(my favorite!) grilled chicken breast(not a pre-cooked spongy chicken, but a real chicken breast). melted jack cheese and tortilla crisps in a yummy chicken broth. My mouth is watering just describing it. I order with with a traditional margarita(yes… I know it’s a lame combo, but it MY lame combo). I never turn down an invite to this place, and look forward to trying more dinner items. I highly recommend!

$ 5.00 unlimited Taco Tuesday offered anywhere you are seated in restaurant. Options are ground beef, shredded beef, or chicken. They have a full bar plus complimentary chips and the salsa has a kick. Bartender made a custom drink after I presented the recipe to the waitress. Other dishes also well done such as queso appetizer and steak fajitas. A decent kids menu also at an affordable price. Overall, very family friendly. Always try to accommodate big groups.

Heard about Azteca a few times and finally gave it a try for lunch since we had a few errands to run in the same shopping center. We walked into a ghosttown– not a single person was there for lunch(2:40pm). Ok fine maybe we missed the lunch rush… our server came to take our drink order, put down chips, salsa & bean dip(which was nice) but she couldnt crack a smile to save her life. She seemed like the last thing she wanted was to be there taking our orders. Ok fine on that too– you’re not always going to have a great day… so we ordered: Lunch special rice & bean burrito w/steak fajita AND a large bowl of chicken tortilla soup. At this point I was really hoping the food would save this place but I didnt get lucky w/that either. My soup was pretty boring, just a few pieces of chicken breast, more tortilla strips than anything and a couple of avocado pieces w/melted mozzarella cheese on top of a clear broth? Very little flavor so I asked for a lime wedge to give it some umph. My husbands dish was just«ok» too. Now I know he ordered a rice & bean burrito but it this thing came out like the sorriest rice & bean burrito ever. You cant just smother a dish in cheese and call it a day. The only thing tasty was the actual steak on his platter but if it was cooked anymore it would have been destroyed. Maybe everyone else has been getting so full on chips & salsa & bean dip that they havent realized how uninspired the actual food is here! Not coming back :(
