Great beach spot!!! We had a great time and great food spending time here on our vacation. Our server rhea and manager Mark helped make the experience even better. I would recommend the short rib taco.

Wow! Amazing guacamole, great atmosphere, great music, generous portions. All around a huge thumbs up! Can’t wait to go back! Mushroom tacos are fantastic!

Excellent food — great taste, high quality ingredients and top notch service. We had the grilled chicken burrito bowl and street corn — both were delicious. And the Korean Short rib taco and Brisket taco were world class. Don’t miss those. As a somewhat picky eater, I have to add that I really appreciated the quality and preparation of their chicken. You know how sometimes you have a taco and encounter weird chewy bits of chicken? There was NONE of that here. It was perfect. Plus they often have live music.

Fabulous Korean short ribs is a don’t miss meal! We come for the short ribs but always bring home the creamy habanero sauce!

We waited over an hour for an order of three tacos. This happened to every table. It wasn’t even particularly busy and the kitchen was still backed up when we left. They don’t even allow substitutions, so how do the orders take so long? The waitress and manager said it was because everything is made to order, which is funny because even a taco truck which makes things to order takes five minutes, maybe ten if there’s a crazy line. There were tables of people who got up and left. The food was decent but not spectacular. The place has a really cool ambiance and lounge patio furniture seating outside. They had two different live groups playing(yes, that’s how long I waited for three tacos, I got through two different bands’ sets, including the first band took two breaks.) It would be an awesome place to go relax if they could get this insane wait fixed. It’s not acceptable.

Second time I’ve been there. A very friendly wait staff and strong cocktails awaited us. For dinner, my company and I each ordered a «huge» burritos and they did not disappoint. There are at least seven different types. I ordered beef while my friend had the steak. Both excellent. The Guacamole is a must as well. Good time, outdoor, live music Saturday over dinner. Happy hour after 11PM. Ask for Rita :)

I have been to that restaurant many times. It is close to where I live, great outdoor ambiance with great food. Alas, NOTANYMORE. I just had a late lunch there today and the food was awful. They changed everything, raised the prices and all that for frankly disgusting food. The chips were greasy, many of them uncooked and greasy and stuck together. The grilled mahi mahi tacos were completely devoid of flavor. Lettuce instead of cabbage, no Crema flavored with coriander like before. The tortillas themselves seemed to have been defrosted. The food was cold and bland. My companion had the ground beef tacos and it was just as flavorless. I won’t be back. Hollywood has great restaurants and this isn’t one of them anymore. I

Amazing food and even better service! Everyone was super friendly! Ask Diane to make you a pineapple, strawberry mojito!!! The tacos were fresh and tasty, don’t forget the spicy sauce! Best black beans, well seasoned and cooked to perfection! The roasted corn was so good, I had two! Daily specials from Monday to Thursday! And late night happy hour every night!!! Live music every night!!! Don’t forget to take a walk on beautiful Hollywood Beach!

Great tacos — but what’s up with the chips being served in a cheap paper bag now? Totally not cool especially when the wind knocks them over. Hope you guys can change that fast. Best tacos– short rib & calamari mmmmmm

No wonder this place won the Broward New Times award for their tacos! So amazing! This place is on Hollywood Beach but located on the A1A side. What’s nice is that is has a little parking lot right next to it for easy access! I was seated in a covered outdoor area which was nice, they have fans that keep it cool and live music! I tried a few different options of their famous tacos but my favorites where the Korean short rib with kimchi slaw & the shrimp with mango salsa! The Korean ribs were so perfectly made! I loved the combination with the slaw it complimented the Korean flavor perfectly! The mango salsa was out of this world! I love the fresh flavor of mangos! Their taco shells it’s self are great too! You can really feel the passion from the cooking! They also have Margarita Monday’s — worth the visit the drinks were great!

Dont go here unless you like waiting for an hour for cold food, 45 mins for drink refills. I almost had to put more money in the meter. I paid for over 2 hours! The food was pathetic. The serving size was small, the meat and stuff in the taco was very little. The pleasing presentation was absent and the food just placed on the plate. The awesome flavor of the old taco beach shack is totally gone. Im done with this place used to bring my out of town guests here but not anymore such a shame. Once all these bad reviews catch up this place is gonna go out of business…

Restaurant empty, service sucked. Checked on us once. $ 30 margarita pitcher for two 14oz drinks each. Took 12 min to get drinks and 35 to get food. Cool atmosphere but, not worth it. Never coming back. Kinda disappointed :/

Late night stop since it was close to our hotel. Casual place. We just drank but the tacos looked good. On a nice day probably a great place to drink and hangout

This place is a large margarita bar and taco joint. It makes no pretense at being authentic Mexican. It is a place for tourists to swig cheap drinks in plastic cups, eat tacos, and chill. It executes on that formula perfectly. Margaritas, despite being on Monday special, were well balanced and did not stint on the tequila.(Though it’d be nice if they extended the special to frozen.) tacos were solidly done, from brisket to fish to the infamous short rib. Hot sauce was definitely kicky. It’s surprisingly kids friendly, although that probably changes on a Friday or Saturday night. There were a couple strollers parked, and the music was appropriately chill. It’s not cheap — unlike a real shack or truck, you’re looking at $ 25−30pp even with specials. But it still has just the right atmosphere to get a little buzzed and full, and there’s the broad walk right outside to walk it off afterwards. We’d hit this again in a heartbeat.

Love coming to this spot. I’ve tried the quesadilla, & soft tacos & haven’t been disappointed yet. Also a must is the corn on the cobb! Its grilled seasoned good & has parmesan cheese too. Its really tasty! My only negative about this place so far is the couch cushions outside need to be cleaned more often.(I hate seeing stains on furniture you should be lounging on) Sunny

This place is great… I mean it! I wouldn’t call it Authentic Mexican food but it was everything we had hoped for. We were in the area scanning Unilocal and saw a taco spot close by so we came back to the area the following day to check it out. It was rainy but we were hungry and nothing was stopping us. Seated right away, outdoor only, but it’s covered so we were in good shape. Our waitress Rhea was a true expert on the food. She did a phenomenal job explaining the menu and making some tremendous recommendations! I wish everyone in the industry were this good! We started off with some chicken nachos Crispy tortillas topped with melted cheddar cheese, black beans, picco de gallo, homemade guacamole, sour cream, and fresh sliced jalapeños. OH, and chicken of course! It was wonderful, the type of cheese you can drink and fresh seasoned chicken! We both loved it. THESAUCE, there were two different kinds, a smokey chili sauce that was pretty good but the winner was a creamy habanero sauce that I tore up!!! For the main I went with 2 mahi tacos, one grilled and one fried, one hard and one soft(based on Rhea’s expert opinion). Tremendous! The girlfriend went with a breaded shrimp taco that was apparently good enough that she didn’t want to share! Must’ve been amazing… :-) The GM, Mark also stopped by for a chat. Great guy! Mark, Rhea definitely took part in our great experience! She’s a keeper! Lol

Stopped by here on a Friday Nite around 9pm. No waiting and we sat down on one of their rectangular sofa table arrangements. My friend begins to dust off the sofa as sand is everywhere. And right about then a male voice(our waiter) says«This is your first time here huh?» And then proceeds to explain the beach and sand concept of the«Taco Beach Shack». Ok ok excuse us for not wanting sand up our butts lol. Next our manner challenged server tells us how all the food is made from scratch. And, as a result, there is a 15 – 20 wait time on all food. We ordered beef nachos and 5 minutes… presto…delivered to our table. LOL This was two quick earth-shaking-strikes against our server. The nachos were a bit stale, beef crumbling off every chip, lukewarm cheese(appeared of liquid variety)…enough said! To complete the trifecta(turkey for bowling analogy), Mr. Waiter bad mouths other restaurants on the Hollywood Beach Boardwalk like Nick’s Restaurant… stating how salty the food is yada yada yada. Just so happens I have eaten at Nick’s more than once. For a comparison, Nick’s would be in the major leagues and Taco Beach Shack in Pee Wee Ball ! $ 1 mini tacos and $ 2 margaritas after 10pm boosts my rating to 2 stars. But never been at this time, so not sure the actual size and taste. Just go to Nick’s instead like we did :)

HECKYEA! I love there crispy fish tacos and their veggie quesadilla is a close second. If you’re coming from the beach this is a great spot since you don’t really have to worry about the furniture getting wet. Prices are reasonable and they offer daily specials, I went on Monday and they had $ 3 Margaritas that are NOT watered down(a plus for all my alchys) This location does not offer parking so you do have to find a public lot. The times Ive been there they are usually short on staff so its a little wait time if you need a refill or additional service. Also don’t expect the place to be spotless since its outside, Im pretty sure the stains on the couches are from food… but DONT let that stop you from picking up them damn good CRISPYFISHTACOS! I don’t even like fish, but I literally dream about these tacos *insert heart emoji*

Came here for dinner with a group of friends. Pros: — Our waiter Mike was awesome! Nicest person ever. He knew that the kitchen was extremely busy so he gave us chips with gauc and salsa — Steak salad was okay — Veggie quesadilla was delicious — Burritos were nicely wrapped, meat was tender, and good proportions — Cilantro cream tasted great — Good size portions — $ 3 margarita Mondays — the drinks were very very generous(strong) — Cute décor — love the tents — Taco — hard shell didn’t fall apart Cons: — Took around an hr to get our food
