This fall I bought a lawn mower from Sears. The guy was pretty new, and really didn’t seem to know much. He was also pretty slow but was nice enough. I decided I didn’t want this particular riding lawn mower. I thought I would have to go to the store to cancel the order but I didn’t. They were able to cancel it over the phone. This was a pleasant surprise. I have a really big gift card that I have been using this winter for clothes. I found the brand Lands End to be pretty good quality. They came out of the wash with very little shrink. I’m glad I had the gift card, or I most likely would never have tried the store. The girls at the register were pretty pleasant. I try to remind myself that many people working are Christmas help. So you really need to be patient when checking out.

This weekend while shopping at the Holyoke Mall we stopped in at this Macys to try and find some clothing for our upcoming rehearsal dinner. When we came into the store we went right to the women’s section which had a decent selection but could have used more dresses. Overall the selection was decent, but the issue we had in the store was regarding customer service. At one point we stopped to ask an employee where we could find some particular items and it seemed as though we were inconveniencing them with our questions. They seemed a little too invested in the football game on the television and it was difficult to locate what we were looking for. In the end we didn’t find the items we were looking for but we would try again in the future because the last time we shopped here we had a slightly different experience in a more positive way.
