No longer the same. Just ok and definitely feels dirty — think I will find another breakfast place.

This is actually NOT Bobbi Jo’s Diner anymore. The Royal Palm franchise bought it out & it’s known as «Momma D’s Country Kitchen #2» with the same menu as Royal Palm. I had the egg, ham & cheddar cheese scramble. Served with a side of wheat toast & hash browns. The hash browns were delicious! I always commend breakfast joints who dynamically execute real hash browns from scratch, & they delivered. The scramble was average, unfortunately, the eggs were slightly overcooked & had no seasoning. That’s sacrilegious for me because eggs are my favorite. Toast was nothing out of the ordinary — there was nothing«toasted» about the soggy wheat ‘bread’. Not many coffee options; American is the commonly brew served & it’s nothing out of this world. Bums me out to begin a great morning with bad coffee :’( The server was sweet & friendly. The place was clean, but it is a bit snug. The décor is a bit outdated — painting the inside a more vibrant color, for one, would probably change the overall«vintage» feel of the place. Overall experience was okay, but nothing I’d die to have a second time, anytime soon.

This place doesn’t pretend to be anything is not. Simple place with simply good old fashioned diner food. Good breakfast great portions. Good taste good service. Mom and pop stop. So the word of the day is «good» hence the 4 stars. But we wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

My hubby and I went here for the first time and the vibe walking in the front door was very warm and homey… The food was excellent and so was the service… The biscuits and gravy were wonderful, the eggs and homefries were cooked and seasoned perfectly, and we will definitely be back as regulars… Spread the word if you can about this place to everyone you know who likes simple, down home diner food, the place is only open 6am to 2pm not later like Unilocal indicates… You will not be disappointed!!!

Breakfast! Hot cakes, yummy! If you are looking for an old run down diner from the past and are expecting diner comfort food, then this is the place for you. The seats, tables and floor are all worn out. And so are the folks. This setting is straight out of a novel or film noir. Down to the chubby, balding toothless guy sitting on the window ledge outside. Sipping on a Colt 45 partially hidden in a brown paper sack, with an unlit cigarette between dirty stained fingers. This is not the Miami or even Homestead you are used to seeing. Stepping through that door is like stepping into a time machine. Reminds me of the old Alice’s Restaurant in Brooksville, Florida(1980’s), and not updated since then. The food in plentiful and down home good. The service is good, and as sweet as the tea.

First time here and it seems very good. People are nice and even though there was a little wait, the waitress was nice enough to let us know. They do not skimp on the drinks either!

Best mom and pop dinner in town. Western omelet with cheese, house potatoes and biscuit all tasted home cooked, not prefabricated. Atmosphere was dirty south but in a good way. It is in contrast to its Mexican/Latin surroundings. The food was reasonable($ 6.85) for a good quantity. Happy it hasn’t been beaten out by Denny’s or Ihop.

On a whim we tried Bobbie Jo’s Diner this morning and I am pretty glad we did. The food was very good. I had pancakes and eggs and my wife had bacon and eggs. Both dishes were great. Most of the time I am disappointed when I order pancakes, but not today. They were just how I like them. My wife was happy with her bacon and eggs as well. Service was prompt and polite. I have been hesitant to eat there in the past because the strip mall the diner is located looks a little sketchy. I didn’t get mugged or anything so I guess it is ok after all.

I love this place! My boyfriend and I where on trip to the Everglades. We where staying in Homestead since it is so close to the park. I was flipping threw an old Fodor’s guide book and saw this place(which in the book was called Sam’s). When I saw the outside I have to admit I was a bit hesitant, brown painted wood panels and practically no windows, but when we went inside I knew we had made a great choice. This is the type of diner I dream of finding, it has old fashioned charm and great food. We had a biscuit and a piece of cornbread along with our food and both where amazing. Our waitress was great. I really can’t wait to come back, if you’re in Homestead you have to stop by this gem!

If you’re looking for a restaurant in Homestead, you should be able to find this place easily. Because above this tired, little strip mall location there is a huge painted sign that reads«RESTAURANT». It’s Bobbie Jo’s Diner, the best breakfast place around. That includes you, Denny’s! When my biking group rides down to Homestead, this is the preferred stopping, resting and eating place. We are just one of many groups of peculiar people as there are groups of motorcyclists, Amish people, early morning go-getters, farmers and the not-so-peculiar people. In contrast to the the customer’s relaxed, sit back and enjoy attitude, the waitress is always huffing and puffing and hustling to get everybody’s food out fresh and hot. I have only been here for breakfast, and it has always been excellent. I have had their pancakes, blueberry pancakes, fresh cooked eggs, bacon, sausages, biscuits and omelettes. They are truly old school, meaning it is served to perfection, always hot, fresh and just like you imagined a good country breakfast to be. Don’t miss this place. It’s a step back in time when restaurants served good, fresh food at reasonable prices.

Formally known as Sam’s, this place is a Homestead institution. It’s right off Krome Avenue so you can’t miss it, and it’s always crowded for breakfast, in a good way. It’s old fashioned goodness and all food is cooked to order, so don’t be in a hurry. They have sweet tea just like a good southern place should(unsweet, too). Bobbie Jo’s is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and all meals will leave you fat and happy and coming back for more. Try the cheeseburger omelet for breakfast, or steak and eggs. Grits, potatoes or fresh tomatoes are side choice and they’re yummy. Biscuits are big and so is their menu. And there are specials on the board daily, including lots of homecooked veggies. Save room for dessert. Bobbie Jo’s has counter service on one side, and two different dining rooms to sit in. The paper is usually out on the counter for all to enjoy. Put it back where you found it. For lunch, you’ll find deluxe sandwiches, burgers, fries, fish, chicken… you name it. Same goes for dinner, with delicous homemade delights like meatloaf, pot roast, chicken pot pie… it just depends on the day. If you like old fashioned Southern cooking served with a side of Southern attitude, um, hospitality, head to Bobbie Jo’s.
