First time, food was great, service was fast. Will come again. Pico de gallo was awesome

Great little place in Homestead! The Queso Fundido is great and the variety of tacos available are all delicious. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The really stellar part of this is the little salsa bar they have up against the wall. Their simply but delicious options offer a variety of heat intensities and flavors. This place borders a little more on the TexMex than authentic Mexican but it does what it does really well.

These are seriously the best tacos in South Florida. The place is not fancy buy do not judge a book by its cover because the tacos tastes just amazing! The flavor brought me memories of my military days in San Antonio. I have not tasted anything so authentic Mexican anywhere else in the area. The prices are very reasonable, and the staff was friendly. My friend and I left there very impressed with how good the food was.

Very expensive wow almost 3 dollar for a bottle of coca and tacos also are 3 dollars, wow chilis will charge you that for a soda with free refills. People are rude they do not say hello when you arrive … Do not know if i can deal with the service specially when food is too expensive.

Love this place with a passion! The food is always on point! I drive all the way from Kendall to homestead just for the tacos but mostly tacos al pastor. Prices are good very cheap. Is worth the drive.

When we arrived the place was packed, understandable as it was a Sunday night. We decided to sit in the empty table outside, granted we did have some knats flying around, again, something that can not be helped. After sitting it took about 10 – 15 for anyone to acknowledge us and ask if we wanted water. When the waitress arrived, she seemed to be a bit upset, sure it’s a busy night but you shouldn’t show your frustration, it spreads to the customers. She took our order, and it took about another 10−15mins just to bring our waters out. Finally after 20 mins after that the food arrived, it wasn’t very hot it was actually quite cold. The food was okay, not all that great. Let’s not talk about the b8ones I spit up. Would I come here again? Probably not. But who knows, if anywhere else were closed or has an outbreak, then sure. It’s been 20 minutes now that I’m waiting for my check… Did she forget? I could leave and she wouldn’t even know…

I was hoping it would be awesome because it’s closer to my house than other Mexican restaurants I go to. Sadly it was below average. Small servings and barely arrived warm. Too many other places in Homestead, won’t be trying again.

Great tacos del pastor! Their complimentary chips and salsa are what brings me here all the time

Tucked in an unassuming strip mall, Taqueria Morelia is probably the best tacos in Homestead. Moreso than some of the other places in Homestead that are a bit more well known to those up north in Miami. Part of this may be because it’s a bit off the main roads that lead to the keys, and looks very generic from the outside. Overall it’s interior is utilitarian. There is room to sit and eat, as well as a to-go counter up front. Next to the to-go counter are various Mexican candy treats. The highlight are the tacos. In particular, the al pastor tacos(stewed, seasoned pork) are good, with the meat blending well with the citrus tang of the lime. The meat is also tender. Also good is the barbacoa(beef). These meats are, of course, also available in various forms like burritos or as platters. The salsa bar also is well stocked with the expected condiments. It is popular so it’s generally packed. I will say that while it’s the best my wife and I have had in Homestead, it’s important to modulate expectations: this is not the same as the best Mexican food in Laredo, Baja or Mexico City. However, for an unassuming taqueria in South Florida, you could do a lot worse.

Hands down thee best authentic Mexican food in good olé’ Homestead. It does get packed so beware, come prepared. From appetizers to entrees, anything on that menu hands down is a delicious good time. I love their salsa bar, I do wish it was bigger, or that the waitress hand you more serving cups, but the exercise is good before the food and during. Parking is a mission so again, be prepared. If you with big parties my advice is call ahead for seating, you’ll save yourself the wait, y para arriba! Cheers, and don’t forget to grab a michelada, extra spicy, extra limes and keep the beers coming.

It is ridiculously hard to find good Mexican food in Florida, especially after coming from the West Coast. Taqueria Morelia was not great, but it’s better than anywhere else I’ve tried, and I’ll have to accept that. The chips and salsa bar were amazing and their horchata was good. I had the carne asada tacos, and the meat was flavorless and dry. I would give a better review if the meat was tender and easy to chew, but it was difficult and I had to drink to get it down because it was so dry. The burritos look good, although still not what I consider a true Mexican burrito. I will be back for the fact that I have yet to find a better place to get tacos.

The food is okay here, in my opinion the best thing you can order here is Tacos, because the rest of the menu has a lot of grease and fat. I would give it 5 stars but the waiters here tend to forget about their tables, so if your looking for good tacos and not cheap fake tacos like taco bell this is the place. But don’t come here in a rush, because the waiters are slow.

I’m giving one star is because I have to it won’t let me post no stars. Let me start by say Chipotle is great however THIS one is awful. I’ll be call the regional office in the morning. The staff here is slow, rude, condescending and is soooo typical Miami and by that I mean rude. Ordered the tacos asked for fresh tomatoes with out pico or onions. Told they don’t have it. All others do. The pico was soup. The chicken grilling in the back was unattended and burning the sink to the left was left running and open. I guess the employees are sticking it the owners. Asked for a little cheese and lettuce the dumped a boat load of cheese to compensate for not having lettuce. Simple said I wish they would have told me. Girl in a soft voice tells the lone to let people know and smiles. I simply said never mind and paid for my daughters food and told them not to ring me up for the tacos. The cashier was stunned go figure. Recommend tex mex. Further south or Moe’s a little east of this location. HQ needs to overhaul this location.

morelia is one of the better true mexican places in homstead. they have two locations, this one and one at a gas station. the food is about same IMO but this locations is nicer looking. what you will find here — true mexican food what you wont find here — crunchy tacos(which annoys the crap out of me) i had a burrito. good size, quite tasty, and fresh. prices are very fair.

Mexican food is hard to find in SoFlo, where Cuban eats reign supreme in the realm of latino cuisine. But here it is. Is it gonna change your life? No. Have you ever lived in California? This place won’t meet your standards. But their tostadas are solid, and their tacos too. Why? How? Their saaaaalllllssssaaaaa barrrrrrrr. I go for lunch all the time and order two tacos or one tostada with double meat. I’m stuffed(like, sweatpants stuffed) for under $ 8. Service is hands off, but never malicious. Just don’t expect the Ritz-Carlton. These ladies are busy.

I have to lower my rating for this place in account of the bad service we received today. We arrived and stood by the door for about five minutes until anybody noticed us, even though some waitress passed us by several times. The tacos al pastor were ok, the pork was overly cooked and crispy which made the texture chewy instead of tender. After we finished eating, we waited for 15 minutes until we had to call a waitress and ask for our check, nobody came to refill the water or asked if we needed anything else. Even after the check came we still had to wait over 10 minutes for anybody to pick it up.
