Fantastic grocery store and deli in West Lake Tahoe. The selection of gourmet meat, cheese and food kept us coming back for the little luxuries we needed on our trip to Lake Tahoe. We loaded up on fresh baguettes, cheese and salami to make a great cheese plate back at the cabin.

We have been shopping here for decades, the best addition I’ve seen so far is Miranda, and our whole family adores her! Well kept store, great selection. Will definitely stock up there when the next winter Olympics comes around so we can watch it all day and never have to leave the cabin… Thumbs up for Miranda!!! :)

I don’t understand why a deli in a store that sells 30 different kinds of cheese only offers a few basic cheeses for sandwiches. I must point out that although their coffee machines make the best coffee and espresso, a properly made latte will have steamed milk added as soon as the shot is made. The barista failed to do this. This store is a seasonal tourist trap that strains poor locals and seasonal workers from abroad. Although it has improved some from what it was years ago, I would never recommend unless it’s a dire emergency.

Albacore tuna sandwich on mixed berry honey bread was awesome! Sandwiches are huge! Plus lots of unique choices of snacks and such. When we are on this side of the world we will be sure to come back by!

What a lovely surprise! Stopped in for breakfast sandwiches and burritos on our way up to Truckee. Seems like a very nice general store, and the food is excellent! That bacon is to die for, best I’ve ever had! Definitely a must-stop for a quick bit on the Western shore.

Awesome customer service! Lost my wallet there over a month ago and they never gave up trying to contact me! Finally got a hold of me and they’re mailing my wallet to my house. The employees there were very polite on my multiple visits during the time I was visiting Homewood, the sandwiches, salads and breakfast foods are awesome and buying groceries was way quicker and easier than driving to Tahoe City to shop at Savemart which was packed and had mediocre customer service. Obexer’s gets 5 stars from me!!!

Pretty good sammies after a hot day on the lake. You can choose from their very tasty limited sandwich menu or create your own — just take their blank list and check off what you prefer as far as type of bread, meats, veggies, condiments. So much easier than yelling it over the deli counter when it’s crowded and loud.
Clean, spacious bathroom for those who need the loo or who need a place to barf if they are prone to motion sickness on a boat — ask me how I know.
Conveniently located next to their dock which offered WHAT THE WHAT… FREE WIFI!!!

Since my visit I was contacted by the new manager and she was very professional and apologetic. I really appreciated her reaching out to me and welcoming me as well as my dog back– so I gave them another chance. As I predicted, the food is divine! My whole family was very satisfied with our lunch and we will definitely be back :) Thank you for hiring a great manager with great customer relations– and thank you for getting rid of that jerk who had zero empathy for a girl and her service dog.

Who would’ve thought! My wife and I are staying in Lake Tahoe by Heavenly ski and decided to drive our way around the entire lake. We were getting hungry and running out of options as we drove and decided to pop in here for a quick bite hoping for something mediocre at best. Turned out to be an amazing deli! If you go, and I suggest that you do, you must try the JPO sandwich amazing roast beef!
The staff very friendly very helpful and made us feel very welcome, can’t wait to go back again! :-)

Delicious burritos and sandwiches! Obexer’s is literally across the street from Homewood resort and is a wonderful little general store/deli serving up some great food. Their breakfast burritos are large and hearty, but what I really love about this place is the bacon. The bacon is thickly sliced, sweet, and has lots of pepper. I love eating their bacon in the BLAT (bacon, lettuce, avocado, tomato) sandwich, but it’s also great in their breakfast burritos too.
Service can be a bit slow because all the times I’ve gone, there’s usually only 1 or 2 people working behind the counter. But they put a lot of love in their food and it really shows in the quality.
There is a self-serve milkshake machine in the store that I need to come by and try one of these days…

This place should be famous. I can’t believe the selection of high end and unique items they carry in this little mountain store. The sandwiches we bought were delicious! If you are anywhere in the area… this is a MUST stop. Everything you need for a picnic or a boat day.

We visited this place several times during our camping trip at Kaspian. It really is a general store that sells just about anything you may need. We bought firewood, cold drinks, and other snacks, in addition to sandwiches from the counter. I waited a really long time for my sandwich, the JPO, and got it when my friends had almost finished theirs, but it was worth the wait! First of all, the sandwich is huge and comes cut in half, so really perfect for sharing. Second of all, they put the right amount of roast beef in it (no skimping!), and third, the creamy horseradish is sooo good. It definitely had a spicy kick, but nothing I couldn’t handle (I’m a wimp). It was a really tasty and unique sandwich. Everyone who works here is super nice. An essential stop if you’re visiting Tahoe.

Definitely get the sandwiches over the burritos. I got a roast beef on a dutch roll for 10 $. It was HUGE. So yummy. Also everyone here is so nice! Great service. They really do have most things you are looking for especially for us as we were camping for the weekend. AWESOME!

Really great super market and deli! We ordered the turkey cranberry sandwich and Tuna sandwich (cant remember exact names of sandwiches).They were out of sourdough bread for the tuna sandwich so I switched to whole grain wheat which turned out to be just as good. I was pleased with the turkey cranberry sandwich which was on a roll and walnuts added a nice crunch.
With our sandwiches we got some grocery items like chips and Oreos. The Oreos were outrageously expensive though.
Real easy to pull up by boat and grab some sandwiches to go. Love this local deli!
