Who doesn’t love Target and this location especially! Everything is always stocked and employees are eager to help!

This Target reminds me of a location in the Chicago area with the escalators and such. It’s quite impressive and the covered parking is nice. However, that’s about the only thing positive I can say about it. Target in general is beginning to disappoint me as many of their locations seem to be «downsizing» the grocery section. There’s less of a selection and variety of items. Target used to be my go-to for groceries, but not so much anymore. This particular location seems to have a stocking issue. Many shelves are empty and though the website says they have something in stock, they don’t. I realize that the site isn’t exactly real-time, but it should be more reliable than that. If you want to see a «different» Target, go for a visit, but don’t expect to find much. As another reviewer mentioned, you would have better luck at the Hoover West location. Really sad because I had high hopes for this one.

I love to shop here but I was so disappoint when I bought bad avocado. When I cut It was black and just went back next day morning to return. I was trying to explain to customer service that the one I cut was black couldn’t bring. She only gave me credit for which I brought. I never ever buy avocado from target again. Waste time waste money. No good customer service.

I love Target and I really want to love this location. I was excited for it to open, but unfortunately I have been repeatedly disappointed by this store over the last couple years. It is the most poorly stocked Target I have ever been in. There are empty shelves all over the store, and sometimes the same shelves will stay empty for weeks, even though the Target app frequently shows the items as being in stock at this location. I’ve been told by an employee at a different Target that this usually means the item is available in the back and just hasn’t been restocked on the shelves. If that’s the case, this location needs more employees or new management, because the number of empty shelves at this location is unacceptable.

Customer service here is terrible! The cashiers are unfriendly and rude every time I’ve been here.

This is one of the coolest Targets in Birmingham. This the target where all of your cool and financial prosperous friends shop at. Honestly I don’t even like Target(someone tried to charge $ 700 to my checking account today, I shopped here last December). But this spot is super cool. The building is cool, the layout is cool, the staff is fairly cool. I have stopped by here on a few occasions after leaving Brookwood Hospital. I really love riding the escalators, stocking up junk food, and pretending to be wealthy. The checkout lanes tend to be fairly congested but not excessively. The prices are similar to other Targets within the region, it seems like a «High-low» pricing scheme. I don’t shop for all of my groceries here, but its a great stop for quick items. I will continue to come here and enjoy the coolest Target in Birmingham. I must provide a word of advice: don’t take your cart down the regular escalator, you will end up possibly injured and even worse, looking like a dumb a$$.

Our family was leaving Target the other evening and hit the escalator at the same time as another patron. The security buzzer went off and as we exited the escalator a security person was chasing us down the stairs asking to see in our bags of food and HBA. The other patron who left unstopped was a young, good looking blonde with a bag full of electronics, so of course he stops the middle aged parents and teens with yogurt and panty liners. The young man detains us while he goes through our bags and receipt«to make sure there’s no security tags they forgot to remove». Yogurt and panty liners don’t have security tags so he handles all of what are now our items. Finding nothing, he says we can go. No apology, no explanation, no remorse, no offer to replace items he handled. As he walked away, I asked the guy if he planned on apologizing for the delay, inconvenience and embarrassment. His reply«nope». I’d rather go to the dirty Walmart filled with apathetic and unmotivated employees than patronize this Target ever again.

I’m glad they finally brought one of the uniquely designed targets to Alabama. I first saw this design over in Midtown Atlanta, GA! Very unique concept. Great location for grabbing your groceries & walking down the strip to shop or dine. Perfectly located from Samford university & the awesome Jemison Park trail. Only think that sucks about Target is the lack of fresh meat selections! Severely lacking in that department but all is good!

Nice and clean Target, like so many of them are. This one is «upstairs» with the parking deck on the ground floor. The parking area was pretty well lit, but like any such area you should be aware of your surroundings at all times. Shopping carts downstairs and they have one of those neat cart escalators that is next to the«people» escalator. Once you’re upstairs, it is exactly the same as any other Target. Bright lights, wide aisles, well stocked shelves. This is not a «Super» Target, meaning that they don’t have the full grocery section.

Looks nice, but the customer service in the mobile department needs to balance the needs of all their customers. Have been waiting for over 30 minutes while the representative helps an elderly couple with their new phone. I understand wanting to go the extra mile, but setting up new email accounts and tech supporting the phone while others wait(while great for the one being helped) has felt like I was kicked to the side. Edit: was turned away from the iPad rebate program — computer would not accept my model number. No, the rep was not willing to call someone to see what to do.

New and nice! I only go here instead of Walmart now. The employees are very helpful and the store is laid out neatly. I always find everything I need at this target.

Great location, but only giving 3 stars because of the small grocery section(most fruits/vegetables were completely picked over on a Sunday evening). I guess I’m spoiled by the massive Super Target at the Grove in Hoover. This will surely be most visited/appreciated by Samford students looking to avoid the Wal-Mart in «Wildhood».

One of the nicest Target store I’ve ever been into. I realize it’s new, but Target has a tendency to provide a quality superstore experience, so I have confidence that my experience here will be close to the same each time. It was staffed really well and all of the employees were ready and wiling to help you find the item/department you were looking for. That’s something that I look for when I go to a new store. The lines weren’t too long — another sign of good staffing. For years I’ve gone back and forth on if I should open a REDcard account, and I was so impressed by this store(plus it’s really close to where I live so I feel like I will be a frequent shopper) I finally took the plunge and opened a REDcard Debit account. Can’t wait to go back!

It’s a pretty neat and unique setup, but at the end of the day it’s just another Target. However, it does feel a little more cramped since the ceilings are lower because it’s elevated with a parking lot underneath. The traffic wasn’t too bad. It opened March 6, 2013. They have a Pizza Hut Express and a Starbucks inside.
