I came here one freezing Saturday morning for MapleFest. There was a «maple syrup making» tutorial, samples and of course alpacas. The alpacas are not very social in that they want to be touched but they are curious and will approach you from a distance. Inside the shop, they sell socks made from alpaca fiber, scarves, pancake mix and syrup. Overall it was a lovely experience.

I heard about this place when they had a Maple Weekend tour. The tour consisted of the owner educating the crowd on his maple syrup endeavors also there was a portion of alpaca watching. The family is extremely kind and was knowledgeable on maple brewing and alpaca caring. I tried to feed the alpacas, they would slowly come towards me and then if I flinched they ran off. I enjoyed hearing about the differences of alpaca fleece and sheep’s wool. The maple process was fun to learn about and even more fun to try the different styles. ie light, med, dark. They had maple molded treats and cookies for sampling. Now I want to eat pancakes! :D mmmmm
