Good dive bar with cheap drinks. Didn’t have any of the food. Nice little patio like setting. Bar is a bit small so it quickly becomes a challenge to order a drink.

Ultimate local bar. This is definitely not on your tourist list. This is a hidden gem of old school Waikiki. Kim the bartender is awesome. There is a decent selection of beer and a full bar. The décor is very Hawaiian. You won’t find this kind of atmosphere in any hotel in Waikiki

Just ask for Elton, he will take care of the rest. Great drinks, boom box, and free popcorn. Nuff said.

One of my favorite spots in Waikiki! Always a great selection of friendly people. The decorations are draw enough to visit this place. It’s tucked away from the main drag and worth the walk from typical tourist pits.

Everyone knows that it costs a fortune to get a decent Mai Tai in Waikiki, all the bars are sterile fake tourist traps. Well you don’t know Arnold… This is a great dive tiki bar where you can get great cocktails at decent prices, forget paying $ 14 on the beach when you can basically get three for the same price here and you get genuine Aloha as well. Ok if you are look for super sophistication go somewhere else and leave great bars like Arnold’s for those of us that appreciate them.

I’ve been wanting to check out Arnold’s since I’ve been on island. I’m so glad I went with some of my favorite Yeeps or I probably would of never found it. I’ve walked by so many times before. They had Mai Tais and Bloody Mary’s. I’m a huge Bloody Mary fan and theirs was spicy and delicious. It looked like a tiny little bar with some sports on TV. I bet it would be fun for happy hour or during a game. There is a topless hula girl there. It didn’t bother me one bit. I’ve been to biker bars in Missouri where I’ve seen women take their bra off and staple it to the ceiling so nothing really offends me. I like the bar. Wouldn’t mind coming back for Happy Hour!

Decent dive bar will a chill clientele FOOD&DRINKS The only food I saw was a popcorn machine… I guess they have some other options, but they seem slim to none. The popcorn is free, which is cool, but the amount of hands I saw diving into that machine made my microwave popcorn at home seem all the better. PBR on tap for $ 3 — I’m sold. That is alll I need in a bar. SERVICE&SPACE Service was pretty nice and friendly. When we first arrived the bartenders were chatting, and even as the place got more packed they were still cheerful and nice. I think the space is what makes this though. The tiki, kitschy vibe is awesome and the rest of the patrons are pretty cool too — which is saying something for a Waikiki bar. There is some military bro-guy presence, but for the most part the regulars seem hipstery and eclectic. Definitely a fun place to people watch. PRICE PBR for $ 3… ahhh yess

Holy shit this place is awesome. It’s actually the sort of place that I hesitate to write a review for because more people could kill the vibe. Anyway, it’s a super divey local bar, and I mean that in the absolute best way possible. Live music on a Saturday night, which I typically hate, but the guy playing acoustic guitar did a great rendition of Tool’s Sober, so I guess I’m in. There was also a hashing crew that showed up in what can only be described as pirate hooker gear(both men and women), and a small cluster of fratboys(including one in flannel… in Hawaii…) that only added to the divey ambiance. My wife and I killed some time here before going to our kind of fancy dinner reservation, and it was great. She was bummed that we had to leave, but after half a dozen beers(for an incredibly cheap price), we definitely needed some food.

Date: September 4, 2015 Location: Arnold’s Beach Bar & Grill Reason to go: Hanging out with a group of new friends After having breakfast at bills Sydney… our group of 15 walked it to Arnold’s Beach Bar & Grill. Since it was after 11am… majority of the group ended up having some alcoholic beverages whether it be Mai Tai, Bloody Mary, or a Margarita. I settled for a mai tai… haven’t had one in many months. Arnold’s Beach Bar & Grill has been around many years since I would always pass it by whenever I’m on the bus and looking out the window. This was my first time stepping into the vicinity of Arnold’s. I noticed that few tables and chairs were available for customers as well as the bar area. Customers sitting at the bar are able to watch sports on the televisions… there were two of them for customers to enjoy. I noticed that this establishment had a music jukebox for customers who wanted to listen to music. There was also a popcorn maker near what looked like the karaōke system or amplifier system for live music nights. I would like to visit this establishment during happy hour to find out how the atmosphere will be like. Anyone interested in joining me in earning the Happy Hour check in badge or even getting the Soused badge? Those of you who know what I’m talking about… let’s meet up sometime in the future and earn those badge together. I really need the Happy Hour badge. LOL. BTW…Arnold’s Beach Bar & Grill passed the Department of Health inspection. That’s a plus in my books.

Dawn dawn dawn! Best bartender in town! After having the worst anniversary experience from my flight to my husband getting a sprained ankle she made everything better!!! The most friendly, well rounded bartender! We are coming back and telling everyone in Santa Barbara about this place!!!

My favorite little dive bar in Waikiki. This place«rocks». The prices are reasonable and happy hour goes until 630p. Today they have Belching Beaver at four bucks for happy hour. This makes me happy. Staff is always friendly. Good beer, good tunes and great service.

3.5 stars. This little bar is tucked away down a back alley in Waikiki, a little off the beaten track, but manages to maintain a vacation-y Hawaiian feel with its amazing tiki décor. Don’t be turned off by the alleyway seating — keep going into the actual bar and the setting gets a lot better. The cocktails here are phenomenal. The $ 5 mai tais and margaritas were just SO good — and I’ve sampled enough to know. They were nice and strong, as well as really flavourful. On top of delicious cocktails, they have a free popcorn machine, which I now believe should be essential at all bars, restaurants, doctor’s offices etc. I like that you can order at the bar and run up a tab. My main criticism of this place is that it was a little dead in terms of ambience the first time we tried to visit — so much so that we didn’t even stay for a drink. The music comes from a jukebox and sometimes there are gaps in songs, plus you’re at the mercy of other clients’ tastes. Sometimes you don’t wanna listen to thrash metal on your Hawaiian vacation. All in all, there are much nicer bars in Waikiki, but this place is worth a visit for a few stiff drinks!

If you’re hankering to get loaded on the cheap in Waikiki, care not about views or sunsets or creature comforts or if, in fact, you love the ambiance of a divey bar, meet Arnold’s. When you meet you’ll learn that Arnold’s is the home of the $ 5 Mai Tai and free popcorn. You’ll learn that these things go down pretty easily in the middle of the afternoon in a hidden-from-the-street indoor/outdoor bar. You’ll learn that you aren’t the only one who puts away a few of these drinks within the space of 30 minutes, and you’ll learn just how quickly an afternoon(or evening) can slip away. You can play the juke box to your heart’s content(management reserves the right to skip over bad selections), you can ask to try on those amazingly huge mardi gras«beads» behind the bar, and you can be giddy with joy when the bartender tells you to «keep ‘em, we didn’t get as much Mardi Gras traffic in here as we thought we would». Arnold’s has no blender so don’t go asking for that sort of drink here. Also, despite the name, Arnold’s has no obvious nearby beach nor do I think they grill anything here. The bartender’s parting words were«come see us again». Until then, I’ve got my Arnold’s jewelry to remind me to do just that.

Gin Blossoms said it best…“if you don’t expect too much from me, you might not be let down” Definitely a perfect hole in the wall with PBR on draught. Sometimes local music plays and it’s always clean. I’ll be back, over and over!

I know this review is a long time coming. What can I say though that no one else has said that is in positive sense? So the BF and I were in Waikiki over Christmas and New years. We found this little place when were walking around looking for a «divy» type place. We were actually on the Pink Trolly and got off by here and voila, found Arnolds. Jackie was working at the time, she was so friendly and welcoming. I will have to say that all the staff was sensational there. I really enjoyed everyone I met and stayed friends with. This was our staple for the two weeks we were there. We were in here about every other night and became«temporary regulars» drinks are strong and good and the place is quaint and feels like a bar Waikiki beach should. No food but that is fine, no need for food when you go here. There is some popcorn if you fancy. If you’re in for a good time come by here and see the gang. We spent New Years here and it was fantastic! Better than any of the commercialized events that were going on and cost hundreds of dollars to get into. This was perfectly fine and suited us well. There is only one stall for the bathrooms so keep that in mind when there on a busy night. You might have to wait a bit. Last, but certainly not least, the talent! I only got to see one guy the whole time we were there and that was fine by me. Chadwick Davis, he is there Mon-Wed and Sat I think and he is outstanding. Be sure and support that fella, he works hard and is Amazing! We will definitely be back when we return to the Islands!

Wow what a cool place in Waikiki! I would compare this to a backpacker style bar, not super touristy had some locals as well as people travelling on a budget! We came for the $ 5 Mai Tais and the cool atmosphere. Loved the Tiki theme, the bar men was friendly and the drinks yummy and strong! Would recommend to anyone looking for something not so touristy when travelling to waikiki!
