Every time I’m in 99 Ranch Market getting a haircut Café Ivy is one of the spots I have to hit. I always get their Crab Crunch plate for $ 8.95 and oh boy is it yummy! I also love it because the rice is nice and warm when you get it :-).

My first time eating at Café Ivy was good, it could have been great. There was just a few things that merit a 4 star review. First, they take cash only. I was a little upset with cash only. I had to spend an extra $ 5 for atm fees. I ordered the Spicy chicken wing plate. It came with five peices of perfectly fried chicken, rice, potato mac salad and salad. The chicken was crispy and juicy, tasted fresh but it was bland and mild… needs more SPICY! Mac salad was on point. The salad though was weak, just some romaine with Thousand Island dressing. $ 9.95 for the plate. Overall pretty good.

Tried this place out because of the pictures I saw advertised in the 99 market looked appetizing. I orders the tempura ahi plate and the calamari plate. The lady who rung us up was very friendly but the food she presented me with was disgusting! The calamari was greasy and rubbery and contained only the legs. The ahi was greasy as well and dry! The only thing that was OK was the mac salad. I was very dissatisfied with this place and will not be back.

Haven’t eaten here in over 3 years. While the portions are good, there is always a WAIT for your food, up to 20 minutes. That is kind of long, in my opinion. But here I am again because their Green Tea Noodle is delicious, with finely sliced carrots, cucumbers, shredded cabbage, red lettuce, chicken breast meat and hot sauce. Healthy and filling.

You have to look for Ivy’s,(behind Bee’s) but it’s so worth looking for. Delicious food & really nice people. LOVE their Volcano, always fresh & consistently good. Next time you’re at 99 Ranch food court look for them, it’ll be worth it.

Had lunch here with my niece on Monday(Columbus Day). It was her recommendation. I always like to try new eateries. They had so many choices, I had such a hard time deciding. I went with the Ahi Crunch. There were 4 deep fried ahi over a bed of rice, tossed greens and a scoop of potato salad. It was really good. Next time I go back, I’d probably ask for all tossed greens instead of rice. Rice is just too much for me and I try to stay away from it.

We decided to try this place for lunch… why not right??? We ordered the shrimp and veggie tempura with white rice, salad, and a side of chicken with rice noodles. We both agree the tempura was pretty good, and made with fresh oil. Not cool when they use the same oil for too long. Salad was with a French dressing and was descent. Overall, not a bad place. We uploaded some pics of the menu, which is really all over the place. They sell a bit of everything, including a ribeye steak for like $ 15.95. We’ll come back…

Every combo on the menu is a combination of delicious Hawaiian food. The poi was good. You can tell everything is made to order and can see into the kitchen as the chef cooks. Amazing service and food. I will definitely return.

Here’s the bottom line about Café Ivy: there’s some decent food offered here if you know how to find this place. It isn’t in the main food court area. You’ll find the Café past Bee’s and around the corner. I’ve had one of their special plates and an ahi plate. It was by far the best, but also not the worst. Its middle ground at its finest.

I dont know why this place has such low ratings. I think this is a very hidden, yet gem of a to-go place in 99 ranch. Café Ivy offers a variety of local plate lunches and hawaiian food(!!). The food isnt the most amazing I’ve ever eaten, but it’s affordable, and SUPERQUICK! The cashier was surprisingly nice and cheerful too! Café Ivy is located right around the corner from Bee’s Desserts. They also offer catering.

Every bought the Rotisserie Chicken from Costco and leave it in you fridge for one week? And then decide to eat it? If you don’t know what I’m talking about? Go to Café Ivy and order the Roasted Chicken. You don’t have to wait one week to find out. You’ll get it in front of you in less than 10 min.

We go here for the poke which is usually very good but today the fish was awful! Previously frozen fish all stringy & inedible! Went back to show the owner & she says«cannot do anything that the fish they sell me» she wouldn’t refund my money said next time I get better fish. Well there won’t be a next!

Aside from Mary’s mediterranean kitchen, this place is probably among the best places at the Mapunapuna 99 food court. It’s definitely better than 99 Local Mix Plate down the hall. Everything I’ve had here is good. The rice scoops are a little smaller, but I usually eat only one of those larger scoops of rice most plate lunches come with. I don’t know why anyone needs to eat so much rice. The menu is a little awkward, however. They have hamburger steak on Saturdays only, so it isn’t on the regular menu, which seems odd to me. Loco Moco is only available on Mondays. How hard can it be to cook an egg and hamburger on any other day of the week. There’s a beef stew bowl, but not a beef stew plate. There’s only one cook and one counter person, so that might be the reason. They should expand their menu to make it more normal so that they can get more customers. I saw several look at the menu and then leave while I waited for my lunch. Still, the food is good and better than most.

The only thing I have eaten here is Hawaiian food. The food has good taste and the portion and price is just about right. I have to agree with someone else’s review that the food comes out super fast. It looks like that have a good selection of plate lunches as well as daily specials.

I’ve been working in the mapunapuna area for about 2 months now and thank heavens for 99 Ranch and the food court. This place is not with all the other food court in the main entrance. This place is tucked in between the Photography studio and the post office. Never heard of this place until a co-worker ordered some poke bowl and garlic shrimp plate. She told me that the garlic shrimp plate was her way of getting some Romy’s or Giovanni’s Garlic Shrimp. If that was the case I had to try it for myself. Because I am in no condition to stay put in that car ride for another 3 months I would have to settle for whats around me. So one day I ordered the garlic shrimp plate which is half the price of a plate from Romy’s. Before confirming my order with the cashier I had to ask if the shrimp was butterfly open or I had to shell the shrimp myself, luckily it was butterfly open otherwise I would have skipped it. Last thing I need is to smell like shrimp the whole day at work. The cashier asked if I wanted it spicy and I declined but that was nice of her to ask. It took about less than 10 minutes for my order to get done. I was so excited to finally taste it. When I opened the plate I was shocked because first it did not look like any garlic plate I’ve seen before. The shrimp was literally just tossed in some oyster sauce and it was just horrible! This does not come close to Romy’s I don’t know what my co-worker was tasting because that was just a false statement. The oyster sauce was just so over powering that it was hard to enjoy the shrimp and the it seemed like it was fried and more so hard to take the shells off the shrimp. The only reason I would go back here is to try the fried fish. I didn’t see the fish until I already ordered my garlic shrimp. So hopefully I’ll get to update this review and it’ll be a better one.

This is the fastest i have ever got my food… talk about«fast food»… :) i had the laulau… nice portion… i wish they gave more that a small scoop of rice. you need the rice to eat with the leaves. oh well, it was tasty for what it was. if i wanted cheap laulau, i would come back(with my own extra serving of rice)…

Ordered take-out at Café Ivy. It’s ok. Nothing bad, but nothing to rave about either. Tripe stew ok, but could taste the cornstarch in it. Beef stew — meat was tender Pipikaula — meat flavorful, so pretty good w/a smoked wood flavor Chicken long rice — salty and plain: I’ve had better at other places.
