Pricey snacks, but I had my eye on things that my friends asked for back home. SPAM flavored macadamia nuts? oh why not, also I don’t like the Hawaiian locals because they creep up on you and scare you out of nowhere being very curious about what you’d do in the store like I couldn’t even take a picture of the food — I snuck a quick snapshot. ALSO, they sell the hurricane & typhoon popcorn that I’ve wanted to try for so long! but so expensive, grrr.

This Coco Cove is conveniently located at the corner of the Waikiki Beachwalk near the elevators to the Hula Tower of the Embassy Suites. I only discovered this little convenient store because there was a coupon for $ 5 off $ 30 purchase or more in the coupon book we received upon checking into the Embassy Suites. When we return for our next staycation, I am definitely shopping at Coco Cove over ABC stores because 1) It’s much less crowded here than the ABC store in the Waikiki Beachwalk 2) The workers here are SO friendly and helpful 3) Though there’s less selection than the ABC store in the convenience items, they still had everything we needed without having to sort through If you are a tourist, I also think that the Coco Cove has much nicer souveniers here than the cheapy, tacky items that ABC store sells. Coco Cove had a lot of locally made items(not just«touristy» things), and local specialty food. I found Red Alae Hawaiian Salt here for cheaper than they sell it at Longs’ Drugs, and found the same local honey that we buy at the local farmer’s market for the SAME price, which is surprising for Waikiki. If you come across a Coco Cove in Waikiki, make sure to slip in and check it out as an alternative to the ABC store, which I’m sure, you all have been there and done that. Me, I’m a Coco Cove fan now when I’m down in Waikiki!

Nice and some prices cheaper than ABC. If you’re staying at the Embassy I found out you get a discount on all non sale merchandise.

Sorry, this one lost their Dole Whip machine to the other location, on Kalakaua Ave. I also noticed that the inventory of the shoes is way less than the other location as well(crocs & island slipper). I suppose that this one is the smaller one, more convenient to the surrounding properties. This one doesn’t have the full spread of hot food either.

I didn’t think it would be so hard to find decent postcards in Honolulu, but lo and behold, after traveling from store to store all day, Coco Cove was one of very few oases of souvenirs that weren’t a total rip-off. They had all the postcards I wanted(had to hurry and grab them before we got on the plane to get out of there), so I got to leave as a happy customer.

We loved Coco Cove! The location is great if you are staying in Waikiki. Waikiki tends to have over priced everything for tourists and for the most part you have to get out of Waikiki to get bargains with the exception of Coco Cove! We actually got better bargains here than at the swap meet or ABC stores! Next time we will skip the swap meet and head here for our souvenirs.

Coco Cove is one of many convenience stores in Waikiki where everything is inexpensively priced. I walked in here to buy a $ 1.69 beach mat and didn’t even notice that the store sells the famous Dole Whip until the employee asked us if we wanted a free sample. We ended up coming back to get the Dole Whip on the way back from the beach and the lady remembered us and was very friendly. The Dole whip only cost $ 2.50 here for a very large serving compared to $ 3 – 4 at the food court in giant vendors area close by. Definitely better costumer service than ABC Store, and I think the inside of the store looks nicer(more regular store than convenient store) than ABC.

I’m giving Coco Cove a five stars rating for its soft serve alone! There was no way I would have known that this place serves softies if the lady hadn’t greeted us with a pineapple flavored sample the moment we walked into the store. As mentioned by the first reviewer, the customer service is noticeably warm and pleasant. And who can beat a refreshingly tasting and generous serving of pineapple and vanilla swirl soft serve for only $ 2.50 in Waikiki! Mmmm…

This is the second Coco Cove in Waikiki. The original and much larger one is on Kalakaua Avenue. I think Coco Cove is much better than the ABC Stores which can be found just about every ten feet. The products they sell are a little better in quality. The best thing about this place is the customer service. Since there is heavy competition, the best thing this place has is the great customer service. You will always be greeted with a smile and you might even score a free sample of Pineapple Dole Whip as you browse the wide selection of Hawaiian souvenirs and gifts. From woodwork to jewelry, photos, clothing, and trinkets, you’re sure to find the perfect memento. They also have just about everything you might need from drinks and snacks to sunscreen, toys, and beachwear. If you are looking for a fresh salad or sandwich at very competitive prices, head to the other Coco Cove. It is much larger.
