This place is so gross. Even for a tiny hole in the wall bar, disgusting! We sat at the bar area and were ignored the whole time by a chubby local/Filipino looking bartender. When we actually got his attention he seemed bothered to have to help us. He stayed on the side of the bar eating McDonald’s with his boyfriend, licking his fingers and making drinks. Yuck! Go check out Wang chungs for a better(clean) karaōke bar!

I like this funky little bar. And it does have really cheap drinks, or it used to. And its right downstairs from my skanky little adult video arcade. When I need a fix of porn, and a cheap drink this is my go to spot. just saying. and its usually packed with drunk people too. FYI

Hard to find; always delivers. This hole in the wall has the best bartenders and best drinks in town. Great prices and you’d be surprised at how many great singers take on the karaōke microphone. Bryant is the best bartender in Honolulu, so come see him on Saturday and Monday nights. Sabrina rocks the machine. Crowded, yes: worth it; always.

The drinks here are strong and so cheap that I can get wasted and still afford McDonald’s and an über afterwards. Jacob the bartender has a nice smile

If you think you can sing, good luck. All the people who work for them gets the first spot. It’s a cute place but when you pay and you can’t sing, that’s a problem.

This bar is truly in-between, a tiny hole-in-the-wall karaōke bar where everyone’s having a genuinely fun time. The songs seemed to bounce between the same 3 – 4 singers, but they were all really good, and a tight, intimate squeeze almost always produces a more memorable time than a big, faceless bar-lounge.

This bar is the best bar to go to belt out your highest notes in front of a small and energetic crowd. It can get a little crowded on the weekends since it’s such a small bar which is why I like walking in on weekdays. On weekends the song queue can get as long as 20 songs and it can get hard to move around. Overall, I’ve never had a bad experience here. the bartenders are extremely friendly and the drinks are STRONG.

I went here last night and the bartender was so «friendly» unless you’re a freaking local and if he knows you. He will look at you and will make you wait for a long time when ordering a drink. I saw some people just left cor they were being ignored. The bar wasn’t even that busy. So please save yourself. Good luck with your business. I hope it survives.

Went there tonight — obviously unless you are a local: your money is no good there. I’m glad that they don’t need the tourist trade to survive. I stood there with money in hand for 15 minutes without one bartender acknowledging me. I walked out. Save your time: there’s friendlier and nicer places to go.

Fabulous bartenders, unbeatable drink specials, and Ono beers on tap. Hidden under a porn shop and next to a Japanese restaurant. In-Betweens is always a chill crowd with a fun mix of locals and tourists. Kareoke night is usually epic. Just don’t request to sing any John Legend or Sam Smith songs, or any ballads for that matter, or some short bald guy will grab the other mic and sing over you. I learned that from experience.

The In Between is my favorite little karaōke local pub. It’s cozy and quaint with the best cast of characters and service. When some of the bartenders sing, I feel like I’m listening to class A singers. Their drink specials are great and after you’ve had a few, you can saunter up to the sex shop upstairs–

Aloha Friendly Hawaiians! Definitely caught this place at it’s best and worst. Worst because of a power outage, they weren’t their usual self with singing Karaōke. I missed the bar a couple of times because its location is definitely In-between somewhere. Best because the patrons that were there were friendly and gracious. I met Harmony who invited me to join her and her friends for an evening of authentic Hawaiian music at the Imau lounge the next evening. If all bars were this welcoming, they would have my business all the time. Everyone was great. I took the one star off for the place being hard to find and no power but I still recommend a visit for any tourist like me in Honolulu for vacation or business trip.

Fun is what you make of it. This REALLY small bar can be amazingly fun if you let it. Enjoy the beautiful voices of the locals on the mic as if they’re auditioning for American Idol. You can’t even be mad at them though — they’re so adorable! $ 1 a song isn’t that bad either, but you better know what types of songs or artists you like because you can’t browse through artists or songs. I like the iPad to search for song codes though. Go with friends, and be prepared to make new ones!

This is my favorite dive bar ever. I was here in August and I brought back a posse of travelers since we were attending a wedding in May 2013. Super friendly, all different styles of $ 1 Karaōke. All kinds of people — we met so many great people. Cheap drinks — tiny space — jovial chatting. I walked here from my hotel the first trip and it was worth the cab ride the second trip. Don’t pay a cover at one of the other local joints filled with rude people. Come here or got to a beach bar, and laugh you butt off. No windows, behind a dumpster in an alley… Good you have to look to find this place. And the tight quarters encourage meeting new people and a constant rotation of newbies. Cheers.

Usually my friend works Wednesday day time. I was sad to find he wasn’t here today. I usually get great service but today the guy was extremely rude to me. Not cute, considering I’m here multiple times a week and my job is three doors down. Thumbs down.

In betweens is one of my favorite gay karaōke bars. If you love musicals or old school songs, you’ll hear a lot of ‘em here. In betweens usually has an older crowd, but there’s still a good age range that come here for some good times. It’s pretty friendly here. I brought my straight friend once, and some random dude buys us a drink. My friend was like, «That’s the first time someone who i didn’t know has ever bought me a drink!» lol Personally, for me, this is my go-to spot to kickstart the nite whenever I’m in Waikiki. It’s a nice cozy place to chill at(although it can get pretty stuffy from time to time). It can be a bit tricky to find if you don’t know where the hell you are going. That’s because it’s in between buildings, hidden from view. Hence, the name. Just go down Lauula St. Turn left immediately after Ginza Won restuarant, go past the outside staircase, and you’ll see In Betweens. Oh, one of the best things about this place are the drink specials, especially during the day. Check it. Overall, it’s just a nice casual place to sit down, buy a drink, and sing along!

I have no idea how or why we ended up here the other night, but we did. The name«In Between» works perfectly. In Between is a cozy little bar, tucked away«in between» some buildings and ish in Waikiki.(I was pretty wasted, so I can’t really accurately describe anything.) I know they have karaōke bc one of my friends sang a song. The bartender was super cool and friendly. He really had my back. I drunkenly spilt my water and he got me a new one right away. It might have seemed a little quicker than it actually was bc, like I mentioned earlier, I was wasted.(But conscious enough to check in! Hah.) Overall, a great time was had. I will definitely hit up this bar again if I’m in the neighborhood. Unilocal 365 — #292/365

InBetween really is just that. In between a lot of buildings and can be easily passed so look carefully for the signs or know someone who has been there before. It is a simple down to earth karaōke bar that pours up cocktails. Located right in the middle of Waikiki(behind Prada on Waikiki) it offers a small and cozy bar with a few booth areas. It is on the smaller side and can become quickly crowded on busy nights. It isn’t anything fancy, just simple and humble. The bartenders pour up the cocktails in rapid succession. Be sure to check out their happy hour for what can best be described as one of the best drink deals in town. Otherwise, prices are very decent and considering it is Waikiki, a pretty good deal. Its certainly a cool karaōke bar set in the oasis of Waikiki, however there is nothing that truly shines and at the same time, nothing that truly disappoints.

For those that enjoy the small, homey type of pub, this would be your next favorite place to drink while vacationing in Waikiki. The atmosphere is very crammed, which IMO works to its advantage. I love coming here on weekend nights to start my night mainly because as soon as 11:00p strikes, the bar becomes chock-full of locals and tourists alike. The music is Karaōke. It costs $ 1 to sing a song, and usually there’s a long queue of customers filled with liquid courage ready to test their pipes to old school Mariah and Whitney. PROS: Drinks are good, bathrooms are clean, and the staff are very friendly. Location is out-of-the-way. CONS: Seating goes quickly, you’ll end up standing if you come here during busy nights, NO parking.
