The dynamic duo, also known as Pua P & Thomas O threw an IYE(Intern Unilocal Event) where they hosted a super slammin’ slurpee crawl! It was 7⁄11 so naturally 7 – 11 was giving out free slurpees til 7 pm! About twenty Unilocalers met at the McCully 7 – 11 and we sucked up our first sugar filled treat AND ate Regal Bakery donuts. Damn, I think I just got diabetes. After talking story and inhaling donuts, we walked to the 7 – 11 on Atkinson Drive for another dose of slurpees. Not only did we dominate the 7 – 11 but I’m pretty sure we scared the workers with our sheer numbers and smiley faces. I was really happy that they had a sugar free mango slurpee at the second location, because I was pretty close to passing out from a sugar overdose. I didn’t get to stay for dinner and drinks at the Edge bar, but I viewed the spaghetti with jealousy on instagram. Sorry kids, but the Unilocal mama has got three little ones of her own who were about to explode from way too much slurpee consumption. I don’t know about you, but if I could do college all over again, I’d totally sign-up to be a Unilocal intern! Awesome work Pua & Thomas!!! Unilocal 365 Challenge: #275/365(The Unilocal Interns Rule)

What I learned from Super Stumbling Slurpee Crawl — 7.11 ounces of slurpee is actually a good idea since it’s so jam packed with sugar that you may end up feeling jittery like how Pua P. did by the second one. My body just can’t handle that! Go with the sugar-free instead. Milagro Reposado 100% agave tequila mixed with a sugar-free mango slurpee is pretty much my new favorite refreshing summer treat. So smooth with a delicate sweetness that makes me feel as if it truly elevates the slurpee into something that isn’t just corn syrup laden refined sugar drenched ice. Finally got to try Edge Bar’s spaghetti that Tim P. has raved about numerous times. I especially loved the large curls of bacon in the dish. The cheese balls were beautifully done. The light battered coating was wonderful since it was light instead of the usual heavy outer layer that bogs down the dish that so many places serve nowadays. As always it’s such a pleasure to hang out with Unilocalers. Sharing food, booze, laughs and light exercise. Maybe the latter should become more of a regular habit after such delicious treats and eats!

What’s better than an ice-cold Slurpee from your local 7 Eleven? Enjoying a free one(or two, or three, or four) on a Super Stumbling Slurpee Crawl with fellow Unilocalers, and finishing up that crawl at Edge Bar! PROS: + Free Slurpees + Meeting and hanging out with fellow Yeeps + Moar free Slurpee! + Ending up at an awesome bar afterwards CONS: — 7 Eleven stopped the promo at 7:00 pm A HUGE thanks to the spectacular Unilocal interns Pua P. and Thomas O. for throwing such an awesome IYE! You guys are AWESOME!!! I hope there’ll be another Super Stumbling Slurpee Crawl for next years 7 Eleven day!
