If you want to avoid waiting 30 minutes in the drive thru, go into Mcdonalds instead. You’ll get your order faster that way. 3 stars because the service is quick and fast but when we got our order, the employee just tossed our bag on the counter and when we looked inside ALLOURFRIESFELLOUT. Why would you lay the fries on top when you could’ve put it on the side of the box? Cmon Mcdonalds.

Unfortunately this McDonalds is a bit a hit and miss with service. I’m sure they mean well but overall it’s a very slow drive through with the orders often getting messed up :(

This McD’s is a hit or miss. But make sure to avoid the drive thru late at night. I once waited for 20 minutes while a car that was 2 cars in front of me ordered the entire store. Okay, I may be exaggerating a bit… but it sure felt like it. ALL I WANTEDWASANOREOMCFLURRYDAMNIT!~ GRRRRR. The employees could have just told him to pull up at one of those ‘waiting spots’ but did that happen? OFCOURSENOT. #IncompetenceAtItsFinest Three stars, because walk-in orders are usually always fast and easy. But. if you’re doing a drive thru late at night, drive a bit further to the McD’s near Liliha Library, because at this McD’s they get bombarded with people who order 50 McChickens for their entire family+extended family or something at 10PM, yeah… sheesh. P. S. sometimes fries turn out soggy here. I HATESOGGYFRIES. Never happens at Liliha, so I usually only go here when I’m in a bind.

Once again their open late… worker comes out at 5:15 to tell the customers waiting outside that they cannot open yet because the registers are down. Mind you they are supposed to open at 5a and I am pretty sure they knew before 5a that the registers were down. They should’ve put a sign on the door or came out earlier to let the customers know. A few customers waiting outside said this isn’t the first time they opened late. Terrible customer service… not enough staffing during peak hours… all around BAD location.

I live very close to this McDonalds. Very close. Walkable for a lazy person close. However, we do not eat at McDonalds because we want to live long, vibrant lives. But once in a while the long, vibrant life I want to live is eclipsed by the holy trinity of cheapness, convenience, and addictive childhood-brainwashed-deliciousness that is this«restaurant». Like a few days ago when I failed all food-making motherly duties and had neither bread nor rice AND picked up my inexplicably ravenous kids from school in my pajamas, the McDonald’s drive-thru lost its usual evil glow and instead looked positively inviting, if not life-saving. And indeed, a few minutes of sitting in my car in my pajamas plus $ 11 put a paper bag of more than enough food for all four of us on my lap, and despite my guilt my cheeseburger tasted like pigtails and crayons and memories and joy. It was like magic. Please note that the four stars are for the service, not for the high caliber of cuisine. Incidentally, when I was in weird little bible elementary school my class would celebrate my birthday at McDonald’s every year. I really miss those tables that looked like trees and plants. Does Manoa still have those? I recall them still having the festive tables but that may have been fifteen years ago. Oo, you know what I miss? The old McDonald’s playground, you know, the one with the cheeseburger you could climb into and that spinning thing. Ah, those were the days. Yes.

It’s McDonalds so I’m realistic about the customer service. Be nice, give me correct change & get my order right. Simple, no? No. The good folks at the Kam shopping center location regularly make me question if I’m truly«Lovin’ It». Incorrect orders on multiple occasions. ie. 3 McNuggets in a 4 McNugget box(counting is hard). Blank stares when I give them coins(just push buttons on that magic counting machine). Gotta have your fry fix, but… CHECKYOURORDER. :)

Typical neighborhoid McDonald’s, serving the usual menu. Very popular and busy location at the corner of Liliha and School Streets. Nice staff that give service with a smile!

Cashier not to friendly. I order coffee but never ask me if I want sugar and cream. I have to ask for my sugar i have to ask for my creamer and I have to ask for my picante sauce for my burito! :-(((((((

Ordered an ice cream cone and a side salad for To Go took them more than 3 minutes to give? They even forgot to give fork for my salad. The cashier name«Adam» needs to know what costumer service is. Not smiling, No thank you’s! The one who’s making order prioritize the drive thru than the one inside.

Kudos to McDonalds for bringing back the Third Pounder. I especially like the mushroom and Swiss cheese sirloin steak burger. I hope that this is going to remain on their menu as it is quite good. When I found out that the Third Pounder was back I just had to go there. The burger was pretty good for a fast food quality burger. The beef patty tasted like beef and not dried up beef squeezed if all its favors and juices. The mushroom added that flavor that only it can. The picture I took of the burger doesn’t do it justice as it looks rather flat. But once you bite into it you may fall instantly in love. Now, if they bring back dark meat McNuggets and make the here today gone tomorrow McRib sandwich a regular on the menu, offer a little lower price on the menu, have a little better service and cleaner restroom and dining facility, I would bump them up to four or five. As it is the menu was quite sparse before the newly added Third Pounder. But I do commend them for a job well done on the Third Pounder and offering the any size soda for a dollar and fish burger at a lower price.

Ok this one is located at the Kamehameha Shopping Center in Kalihi. You cannot really miss it especially if you are on the N. School St. side of the area. It’s right near were that busy intersection(s) are near the elementary school and the Walgreens that is across the street. They have a drive thru which tends to get busy during peak hours like mornings and late afternoon pau hana times and such. The interior and exterior is actually pretty clean looking. I know that they have renovated not too recently. They have a decent amount of table and seating areas. AT this location, you will find many families and more youth because of the surrounding school area like Kamehamha, a couple of elementary schools, as well as the Bishop Museum that is nearby. It makes a perfect pitstop for a quick bite to eat and such. There is a decent amount of parking that is in front of the restaurant. Sometime that gets filled up pretty quickly so you might have to park a little further towards the center of the shopping center. Normally, whenever I go here I just order take out and no situations so far.

It’s busy & there are almost no seats during the afterschool hours, of course, due to the students wanting to hang out and eat. We had to wait for so long to finally have a seat. Sometimes it gets too noisy. However, it’s not too bad! The food is alright and it doesn’t take so long to get our orders. The food is all hot and«freshly made».

Thank you to the North School Street McDonald team member who made these dipped cones. We have had them in Waipio, Liliha, Pearl City, etc. But no one makes it as perfect as you! Nicely dipped, thick coats of chocolate and perfect size. And clean! Thanks!

Came here for breakfast that is cheap and oh so good. What can I say?!? I always loved McDonald’s since I was a kid and this McDonald’s has a fast drive thru and friendly staff. Convenient location and in and out in no time. Nothing more to say.

I don’t ordinarily write reviews for McDonalds, however this warrants one. The parking was and is horrendous, but if you can overlook that factoid, you’d be quite surprised to know how clean and efficient this location is. The tables, chairs and floors were immaculately tidy! Shocking, considering we dined indoors at the lunch peak. Customer service was on point as well! Kudos to the staff and management of McDonalds at Kam Shoppiing Center!

For a McDonald’s this is one of my favorites. I can count on this McDonald’s to always have $ 1.00 any size drinks and all other national specials(McRib, etc.). It’s newly renovated and very nice inside. My favorite part about this McDonald’s is the have a happy hour. These may be common on the mainland at fast food establishments but not in Hawaii(i.e. Sonics on the mainland tend to have happy hour smoothie specials 2 – 4 pm). This McDonalds give you a free children’s happy meal with a purchase of an adult meal. Can we all say WINNING! I saved around $ 4.50 for my kiddos chicken nugget meat! Kids eat free Monday through Friday 5−7pm. The sign for this says for a limited time. But it has been up for about 4 months. Warning: do not come here during after school hours. It gets so busy! Also, the parking lot and drive thru can get busy at all hours. Just sit tight and drive carefully!

A standard Mickey D’s but with a very helpful drive-thru. See picture! Seriously, parking can be a challenge as the lot is shared with Foodland.
