McDonald’s

Went to the drive through for a quick dinner after work. There was only one car at the moment an only a few people inside. When we got our food the chick at the drive though made no eye contact at all and the bags were crumpled up as if it had been sitting at the bottom of something. I was tired and didn’t bother to check the food. The lids for the drinks were not secret on the cups so that spilled in the car when we tried to fix it. Then when we got home. The fries had that stale taste as if it was sitting under the lamp for too long. The chicken nuggets were Luke warm with no crunch to the outer batter. My sisters mcfish was also Luke warm. Mind you I live about 5 minutes down the road so nothing should be luke warm. And now I think it made me sick because I’m typing this in the bathroom after throwing up twice.

We occasionally stop by this McDonald’s when our tennis sessions run late into the evening, and haven’t had any bad drive thru experiences so far. In fact, this review is for Brennan, who is an absolute beast at the drive thru register. He reads your order back faster than the speed of light, and if you drive away without a part of your order, screaming at your driver to stop, he’ll be running out of the island booth behind you, through the parking lot, with the missing bag.
Also thanks for bringing back the dollar menu.

We came here on a Sunday morning. It was pretty busy, as expected but the lines weren’t too long. The cashier that rang us up wasn’t memorably friendly but not rude. I like that they’ve remodeled this place (I remember coming here as a little kid). However, they forgot our orange juice and one of our hashbrowns. My friend didn’t want to ask them for it because it was already busy and too «humbug» but I was surprised that they forgot not only one but two whole items (rather than just an element of an item, such as forgetting to put egg in a breakfast sandwich or something). We only came here out of necessity because we were on a tight schedule and our original plan to have breakfast at Morning Glass down the road was deterred by a crowd of people waiting to be seated there.
My dad grew up in Manoa and said that this location is one of the worst on the island. If I’m ever back, it will be out of necessity, again. I would rather drive a little further and try one of the other numerous McDonald’s in the Honolulu area.

Make sure u check your coffee before u drive off. When I opened up my cup, the coffee level was at least 1.5″ from the top. Talk about feeling ripped off! This is absolutely the worst McDonald’s, from the painfully slow drive-​thru, to the incompetant managers and workers. At least teach your employees some customer service, they act as if they’re doing u a favor by servicing u. Their prices r also higher than other locations. Large coffee .30 more than Keeaumoku location. Really??? Stay far, far away!!!

There’s a girl named Shirley that works @ Drive thru, and she has very good customer service! I would go there anytime now :)

Drive thru was horrible today. Place my order at 1:30pm and there were only 2 cars in front of me. Waited for 15 mins before they told the front car to move to the side so now i was able to pay. Waited for another 5 mins for the car in front to get his order which was a smoothie. I overheard the driver tell the person at the window that they don’t have customer service and i not sure what the response was from the worker but driver must have not liked the response and the conversation got heated with the driver telling the worker that they screwed up his order and that they have terrible customer service. Driver also told the worker that he use to work at McDonalds and he should try his best. The worker did respond and say he is trying his best. The girl at the first window to pay now closes her window. i realize that the belt to the drive thru is not working that is why we were waiting. Not once did anyone say our belt is not working and we are working on it and it will take a while. I get to the window and the guy hands me my salad and says sorry and turns away. I still had to wait for my other order. I ask him is the belt not working and says yes. I suggested that he should say something to the other cars in the line waiting behind me and let the car waiitng on the side know. He gives me my order that was sitting on the belt for at least 20 mins and says sorry. I asked him if he was the manager on duty he said yes.
Told him that they really need to work on their customer service.
They need to really think about hiring young managers.

From the time we got to the driveway to the time we left was about 40 minutes. For starters, the drive through line took forever to move. Then we get to the window and they tell us to pull aside, after waiting for our food we finally got it and the order was wrong. We had to go back inside and wait again for our order in the chaotic mess. Definitely a bad start to the morning.

Drive thru is absolutely horrible. Takes forever. Go in and order. Sat in my car for 20 min.

Ordered our food through the drive through and waited for three cars in front of us to pay and get their food. When we finally got to the front they said their card system was down and it would take a few minutes to reload. After driving up to the next window to pick up food and figure out payment, the women started to tell us that we can’t pay with a card and to go get cash from the ATM at Safeway. Not wanting to pay a withdrawal fee and wait in line again for our order we left. Now we are late to our meeting and hungry. Way to go McDonalds! You had one job! :(

hair in my rice, so gross, not the way I wanted to start my day!!! Unilocal says my review is not long enough, ok well id love if McDonald’s would contact me to give my my money back, I threw away my platter after finding the hair, it ruined my breakfast and was a waste of time and $… Hope that’s enough feedback for Unilocal

This is by far the slowest drive-​thru I have ever encountered… I figured maybe one time can chalk it off as a bad day, but average wait time in the morning is 15 min… Note to management: Hurry the f up

This is the WORST McDonalds EVER!!! They need to get rid of those old time managers who are not even competent or knowledgeable about their business.
Save yourself time and money, go to another McDonalds — Keeaumoku or Moilili where they have great customer service, food and you won’t age while waiting in line!
If there were negative stars, they’d get 100 of them!

For the idiot that’s working in the drive through window. If someone ask for sauce give it to them I never said I wouldn’t pay for it. Since when does it come out of your pocket.

Couldn’t understand the drive thru lady and she had a hard time taking my order. Now we are waiting in the drive thru… for almost 10 min!!! Wth? Slow slow slow!!! Ran out of cups… had to run from the drive thru back to the restaurant and back to deliver. Horrible drive thru service today!

Service sucks. Slow moving. Always forgetting to pack the condiments that go with specific meals. Fries always stale. Food sometimes nuke warm. This is the weakest McDonalds in the link. Not to mention the soft serve machine is always «broken»… Lame.
Last resort.

On every Sunday, I stop by here to pick up my favorite McCafe, and for each time unwanted stress comes together from this McDonald.
1. Too busy and slow drive-​in
Usually the line is long and moves very slow that causes traffic in the shopping center parking. I had to give up several times.
2. Too crowded at the cashier
Customer lines are blocking the entrance and other customers who are passing to the dining area. Unfortunately there was one cashier opened today even though the line was long. Several women complained about it.
3. Too Noisy
There were constant beeping sounds (very loud signals for cooked food or order’s ready?) at the cashier. Christmas Carol today sounded very unpleasant with those loud beeping sounds. I was overwhelmed with noises. Poor workers!
4. Spacious for group
One good thing about this McDonald is spacious areas for family and a group in addition to friendly customer services.

This is a pretty convenient McDonald’s mainly because it is located within the Manoa Marketplace shopping plaza/​center. The interior of this McDonald’s location is pretty unique. The front counter area is right in front of the entrance. One thing that I don’t like about this McDo is that they do not have a dollar menu unless they have updated their menu but I come here now and then and I don’t really see it. The staff and customer service is ok. The prices for everything is decent. There is a pretty good amount of table and seating areas. They also have a sub-​interior area as well where there is more table and seating areas so it is pretty unique. The drive through is interesting as well. There is a ton of parking which surrounds the Manoa Marketplace area. If you get cold easily, make sure you bring a jacket or something because it tends to get chilly especially on a rainy day.

Manoa McDonalds is possibly the worst fast food restaurant in the state of Hawaii. They have the longest, slowest lines and drive through is worse than the H1 freeway on a Friday at pau Hana time.
The management eats food behind the cash wrap while the trainees are teaching themselves on how to multitask and work the POS. I have never been so frustrated and disgusted with a management system.
If I could give them negative stars, that’s where they would be rated. In fact, I made this Unilocal account just to leave this specific comment.
Please improve your management McDonalds. You have such a choice location but have incompetent workers.

This is the coolest McDonalds ever. The way they do their drive thru is absolutely awesome. It is worth the trip just to see it! They have fast food down to a fine science here. You won’t be disappointed. It is unlike any other McDonalds.

they usually get my order right, but it was one time at the drive through when I ordered a Mcflurry and a drink to go with it.
The first person at the drive thru did fine, repeated my order and collected my money, the next person in the next window however literally shoved my Mcflurry in a bag into my face as soon as I drove up to the window and said «here, bye». no smiles, no thank you’s, & on top of that no drink, so I waited patiently till she asked «this your drink?» and shoved it into my face. it was the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced :(
But my Mcflurry was good so it’s okay.
