My family is looking to take piano and I wanted to see what kind of investment we were looking at. I just called and spoke to George who gave me straight, no-​nonsense answers to all my questions and was extremely professional and helpful. He even offered to send me a list of recommended piano teachers. What a pleasure to call and get exactly the information I wanted and then some.

Does anyone have $ 157,000 that I can borrow to buy my dream piano? Piano Planet was nice enough to host my children’s piano recital and a $ 157,000 piano is what they got to play on. Whoa, Mickey Mouse Club March never sounded so amazing!
What I love about Piano Planet is not just the beautiful instruments, but that you don’t feel as though you’re in museum where you can’t touch anything. At Piano Planet my little seven year old fiddled and faddled her fingers all over pianos that cost upwards of $ 90,000 and no one blinked an eye. A man who I can only assume is the infamous George just smiled as he dusted off the instruments.
Did I scare you with the jaw dropping price tags? Well I’m happy to say that you don’t need to saw off your arm for a beautiful piano as they sell pre-​owned as well as new merchandise. I saw an upright piano for just under $ 3000 and it was in great condition.
I’ve decided to cut out the lattes as I’m saving up for my $ 157,000 grand piano and hope that it’ll be under the Christmas tree one of these days…

On my 1^st visit I couldn’t decide whether to get a digital piano or an acoustic piano. Jonathan and George were helpful and patient. They encouraged me to try all the pianos. They explained the features of the Roland digital and the Essex acoustic pianos. On the second visit, I purchased the Essex. The piano was delivered a few days later. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Came once to take a look at the digital keyboards. George helped me by explaining all of the features on the Roland I was looking at. Very educated and was able to answer all of my questions.
Returned the second time to buy a Roland f20. I must say, the staff is very knowledgeable!
It’s also fun to gawk at the very beautiful grand pianos! Will be back for any future purchases and will recommend to friends!

All the reviews on here talk about George. I feel horrible for not knowing who he is but when I walked in Piano Planet I was greeted by a younger Caucasian woman that was very courteous, something that I was NOT expecting! All the other times I used to go into Piano Outlet in Pearl City they’d ignore me so I got used to that. Anyway, I was shopping for a digital keyboard so i could play at night. I needed the keys to be weighted, be able to record, have different sounds, and have escapement.
She took the time to show me all their many selections and left me alone to test them all. Yes, play ALL of them! After playing all the electronic keyboards I felt that I was on a roll so I did what every piano store dreads: I started down the line and played every single piano I could get my hands on, ending with the Steinway Concert Grand in the middle of the showroom.
After I got the playing bug out of me it was time to put my money where my fingers touched. I bought a Roland with all the features I wanted for a couple grand. I was delighted at her open invitation to stop by anytime and play the Steinway (since I cannot afford one). Piano Planet is very piano-​player friendly!
I am still very impressed that they didn’t stop me from testing out their pianos. I appreciate that I wasn’t looked down upon (since many wouldn’t guess I play piano based on the way I look). Lastly, the knowledge the employees have of their products was just what I needed. I love my new keyboard and love that I can play at night! :)

The only reason I can’t give this review a full five stars is because I haven’t actually purchased anything from them.
That said, they have a wonderful showroom, George is knowledgable, upfront, no pressure, and just a really nice guy. He even put up with me
playing through almost every piano in the place.

I bought a piano from George about 8 years ago… i couldn’t afford a Steinway but he had a great recommendation for another hand built piano — an Estonia. I have no regrets. The sound is amazing for my tiny condominium and the process of purchasing it from George was excellent with follow up calls and quick responses to questions and phone messages. It was a pleasure working with him on this purchase. He’s honest, up front, patient and encouraging to try all his pianos and eventually will recommend something for you that may be just right!

I visited George about a year ago and told him I was in the market for a piano in the future. At the time, I made sure to stress to him that I was just browsing. He was very patient and showed me almost every single piano he had in his showroom since I couldn’t decide between a real one or one of those really convincing electric ones (with weighted keys even). He’s so nice and followed up a couple days later. Anyway, that really stuck with me since I’m huge on customer service.
So, finally a year later I’m serious about purchasing and can start piano-​shopping for real this time. Of course, I remembered Piano Planet. And it also helped that they were having this huge sale. Plus your purchase comes with free delivery and free tuning about a month later so the piano has time to ‘settle’ in its new environment. Needless to say, I got a great piano from them and would recommend George and his store.
