Reasons why I love this place: 1. Its student run, not only are students busting their butts with school but they are also working in this restaurant setting. For a place that is considered a learning institution these students especially the staff kick ass! 2. The food is amazing for its price. Though it is a fixed menu, I liked that I had to go out of my comfort zone and try something new. 3. The atmosphere is very relaxing and it just lets you enjoy the environment around. And its super exciting being able to see the students prepare the food. Overall I loved my experience my server was always attentive and making sure to refill my drink or bringing my food on time. I think the school is doing a great job with preparing these students for their future careers.

This is the student-run restaurant of the Culinary Arts Program at the Southern New Hampshire University. Clearly, our expectations were for uneven service and food, as it is student-run. Still, we wanted to try it out as other student-run restaurants have sometimes proven to be surprisingly good. Unfortunately, our ratings for food and service were quite even, but they were evenly poor. While the price for the meal was very low(I believe that it was $ 28 a person for a complete meal), the quality of the food was so weak that we left not finding it to have been worth $ 28. The appetizer tables were set up as buffet, with small dishes so that you knew not to take too much of any appetizer. Good that they signaled this with dish size as most of the appetizers were insipid. I don’t know if the school is trying to teach the students to make healthy dishes by going low on the salt content, but if so, they should know that the dishes were very much under-salted. Further, there seemed to be little use of other spices to compensate for the lack of salt in the dishes. The rest of the meal was a repeat performance in terms of taste: there was none. The food was bland across the board. The server was as nice as could be, trying as hard as she knew how. She did however continually forget to fulfill our requests(fork for the main course, as the fork used for the ordered appetizer had disappeared, etc.) And the phone line for the restaurant which is very difficult to locate since Google Maps takes the given address and says it does not exist) is not covered after 4:30pm. If the school is training people to work in the restaurant business, then they ought to learn about telephone coverage, adequate website info, and so on. We won’t be coming back, I’m afraid.
