It was okay. The fish had a weird flavor and everything. It wasn’t very busy but a few people were there. Fish is cut in large chunks(really chunky). I love sushi but I’ve had better. WAZA down the street costs about the same and is much better. Don’t have to go back. I did go during dinner time, so I have no idea what they are like during lunch.

CLOSED Not sure if they are closed indefinitely or not but they had a sign on the door saying plumbing issues… But it was completely empty inside. The kicker is a reservation was made and no one thought to tell us the they wouldn’t be open whatever the reason may be … Odd to say the least

After reading all the great reviews, I decided to make an online reservation for a big group. After getting there, we saw a crinkled up sign on the door saying it’s closed because of plumbing. The place looked completely empty. So, FYI, the place is CLOSED as of now, not sure if it’s permanent.

So this place is actually pretty good as I was a bit concerned that nobody was here. The waitress is very friendly and helped us figure out exactly what we wanted. The décor is contemporary and comfortable even though it does have a bit of a «cafeteria» feel. They do not have a full bar which made us leave and go somewhere else sooner than we expected. Will definitely be back, even though to me this is a place more suited for lunch than dinner.

I was very pleasantly surprised at the end of this experience. It was about $ 59(before tip) for udon and 5 different sushi dishes for three people. The place was completely empty when we walked in, but it was clean and slick. The waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We were ordering a roll at the last minute, and she could rattle off the ingredients at the drop of a hat. This is very helpful because for some odd reason, the menu doesn’t list all of the sushi on the paper ordering form. We ordered the Crunchy Dragon Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, Salmon Sashimi(wonderfully soft and flavorful. I was tempted to eat all of it myself without sharing), Mount Fuji Roll(pretty good roll with pepper tuna topping that’s good even on its own), and a Seafood Udon(which comes with sliced peppers. That was a surprise and gave the udon a unique taste). This is a nice place for a date or a casual lunch. The sushi is fresh and tastes great.

I should’ve took the hint when we came in at dinner and there was no one there except us and one couple. We usually order a lot on our first time in a restaurant to try most of the things and make review. lemme tell u that our waiter was fast like really fast that I felt being rushed thou he was really friendly. but then when I told him that I didn’t like the HOUSESPECIAL sushi he started like explaining kindda rude way that the other table looked at us. he was telling u know thats raw right and I know it is but I was telling him it taste really fishy like it wasnt fresh at all. DONOTORDER house special it is disgusting. Besides that, chicken katsu, 41 degree sushi, thai ribs and volcanoes were good, just good. I wouldn’t charge 13 – 15 on that sushi thou.

As I write this I am the only one here. It’s 2:12 pm on a Friday. One of the many benefits of being self employed. I had a sashimi assortment and it rocked! A great amount of sake available. You can even get a sake flight to try a few different ones. I’ve been eating sushi for about ten years now and I can honestly say this is fresh food and very well presented. The waiter was kind enough to explain all that was being served. My assortment of sashimi had selections that were easy, and others that challenged me. And that’s one of the thing I like about sushi. At the age of 45, any day I can try or experience something for the first time is a great day!!! This place delivers. The atmosphere leaves you feeling like it is a new company. It’s contemporary, but sparse. But you know what, it doesn’t matter. These guys are putting their energy towards what matters… The food! I just asked, and they have only been open for 6 months. Come and support this establishment. They are passionate and there is a pulse. The food is the bomb! They have some great things that are«off menu». I’ll be back. Soon. Tempura cheese cake??? It’s awesome!

This place is disgusting. First, I sit down and open the napkin to find it dirty of soy sauce… Show the waitress and ask for a new one. I ordered two rolls: spicy tuna and philly. Aye 3pieces of the spicy tuna and feel something in my mouth: a fish scale… I leave the roll aside, without complaining to the waitress, and keep working on my philly… To find another fish scale! Stop eating right away, show it to the waitress but no one from mgt came to apologize or say anything. Only when I asked for the manager he showed up. Not worth going to this place ATALL.

First impression place is pretty clean and friendly. Service was pretty attentive and fast. Menu is Japanese with hints of Vietnamese. The lunch sushi comes with house salad, miso soup, entrée, and choice of either white or fried rice. Sushi special a bit price but then portion are big/huge, the normal sushi rolls are the usual sushi roll size. The fried rice may be tad bit salty for some, but perfect for my taste. All in all not bad, wish the menu or place had some time of picture/display for their food or and idea for their portion size. TDLR; Great place for sushi especially around the area/location, little above average price, quality place to try for lunch or even date night.

Quick, delicious, great service… This place has a very trendy and young atmosphere. Nice upbeat music playing over the speakers and modern décor. I told the waitress that it was our first time dinning and she made some great recommendations for us. It was a little difficult to understand the waitress because she had a strong accent but she kindly repeated so that we can clearly understand. Service was top notch and we were promptly tended to throughout our dining experience. Menu was fairly simple and basic but organized. We selected two sushi rolls and one entrée. Food was prepared quickly with great presentation. Rolls had great flavors fused together. Entrée was plenty for two people. I would definitely return to try more rolls and sake. It was lunchtime so no sake was drank this this time.

Been 4 times now. Sushi has always been amazing. Beer /Sake is good, and at a great price. We’ve been impressed with all of the rolls we have ordered and most recently the sashimi dinner. It is our favorite Sushi in the cypress area!

This was our first visit here and there were some hits and misses. Out of 5 stars: 5⁄5 for the service. The waitstaff was super friendly and really quick at bringing out our food. 5⁄5 for the sushi. It was fresh, delicious, and the presentation was awesome! 5⁄5 for the Grilled Pork Banh mi. The pork is cut in chunks rather than in thin slices, so it’s really different than what I usually see at other places. The flavor was awesome and you definitely can’t beat the $ 4 price! 4⁄5 Miso soup was pretty good. 3⁄5 Summer Rolls. There was an overwhelming peppery taste in the pork and it just threw off what I wanted to taste in the summer roll. I normally like a very light mild flavor. There was also something off with the peanut sauce from what I’m used to. 2⁄5 Chicken Teriyaki. It was really lacking flavor. Soy sauce made it tolerable, but it just wasn’t at all what we expected. It was also rather dry. We’d definitely go back for the sushi and banh mi’s.

I have been searching in vain for 5 years to find sushi in this town that is equivalent to New Orleans seafood. My search is now over. Talk about your fresh fish! Everything was fantastically amazing– believe me, I tried everything. Ted, our server suggested the seared pepper tuna and it didn’t disappoint. Melts in your mouth and the spices used flavor the tuna so well. Michael, the chef made me a roll consisting of fried Shrimp tempura, cream cheese, topped with tuna and a spicy cayenne that was«close your eyes and savor the flavor» good. My husband raved about the Northern Roll being the best sushi he ever put in his mouth. It made him giggle. No joke. The salmon skin salad will actually make you love to eat your veges. For those of you watching your carbs, try the naruto roll that uses cucumber instead of rice(my mouth is watering just thinking of it). And for desert, the tempura cheesecake– don’t ask questions, just put it in your mouth. You won’t eat cheesecake the same afterwards. We tried a sample of different sakes– the premier. There were 2 crème sakes that were surpringly delicious if you’re not a fan of the traditional sake. If you have a sweeter palette, try the plum wine. The service was awesome! We spoke with the owner, Tony, and the chef, Michael, brothers from New Orleans, who come from a family of fishermen so they genuinely know their stuff. Ted, our server was knowledgable, everything he suggested was wonderful, and he was very attentive. Amazing service. My advice to you: sit at the sushi counter, talk with the chef, and tell him what you like. Be inventive! Be creative! Try something new, top it off with some sake, and don’t be timid. You’ll have just as enjoyable a time as we did and you’ll be back for more just like we will.

Super friendly staff helped my wife and I with recommendations on our first visit and we were glad that we accepted them… ALL of the food that we had for lunch today was excellent. Edamame, seaweed salad, squid steak, hamachi kama, baked salmon appetizer, 41 degree sake roll — all great. They even made a custom roll that turned out excellent. And you have to try the cheesecake. Nice ambience, great service, superb food. One thing to note: the portions are LARGE, even with the rolls you will get much more than average, so bring your appetite.

Awesome sushi, went here with my girlfriend and her daughter got a angel bliss smoothie for the little one, big Texas roll 41 degree sake roll and a orange and the chicken yakitori for a appetizer the salmon from the orange dragon was buttery and crisp tasting not bad for raw sushi and it was presented beautifully, the 41 degree sake roll was great even the little one ate a piece and the big Texas was spicy without it being over powering with spiciness I smeared my pieces on the spicy mayo and Wasabi mayo and it burned in just the right way, not bad for a new place I hot full off of a couple of rolls. can’t wait to go again and try some of their cold sake without the little one with us

I’m genuinely confused about which dishes are Japanese and Vietnamese. We came here around 7:30 on a Saturday night. The restaurant was pretty empty so we got seated pretty quickly. Overall the service was very good. The waitress was attentive and tended to our needs. We ordered the Thai Ribs($ 11) for appetizer and I got a milk tea($ 4). The milk tea was alright and I liked the fact that they have some boba selections. The Thai Ribs was not really… Thai. However, it was good and flavorful. It came in a nice portion as well. For the sushi, we got one crawfish roll, one crunchy roll and one 41 degree sake roll. The crawfish roll tasted terrible. It left a very fishy aftertaste; whether it was because the crawfish was not fresh or not, I don’t know. The crunchy roll was mediocre. The best roll was the 41 degree sake roll. It had tempura, crab, and cream cheese. It was kind of pricey though($ 14). My parents ordered tempura dish($ 16) from the dinner menu, which comes with fried rice and miso soup. The rice was kind of like regular asian fried rice. This was okay but not worth the price. They also got the seafood udon(hint: this is totally fake udon). I was expecting udon noodles but what came out was greasy plain egg noodles? We were all really confused. Overall, this was under average tasting sushi for a very expensive price. I’m guessing this place is a Vietnamese/Japanese fusion(?) restaurant but it’s definitely leaning more towards Viet than Japanese imo. I’d not re-visit.

Wow. Unbelievable sushi. They can make you whatever you want. Hamachi kama is my favorite. I love the seafood salad and thai ribs. Must try the lychee sake. Im glad I found a sushi spot with Vietnamese dishes close to home. I will return asap.

By far the best sushi I’ve had around the area. Great taste. The baked salmon are to die for! Can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the items on the menu! You won’t be disappointed…

The sushi rice falls apart and tasted dry. Edamame was not worth the $ 4 it’s priced for, only half the bowl was filled. The server did not know some of the rolls on the menu but given they recently opened that’s not really a problem. Let’s say you get less than what you pay for.
