Really good sushi, at a good price(better than grocery market sushi, at a better price)! Come here for the sushi!!! They also have stuff like chicken teriyaki, which are okay but there are better places for that sort of stuff… you come to Kawa Sushi to get your sushi craving fix. So yummy and fresh.

Around this area it’s really hard to find a really decent sushi place. Kawa is definitely a place I would help is able to stick around a while. Their food is good for the pricing and they have many special offers depending on what you buy. My nieces and nephews love the miso soup here and I found everything I ate so far appetizing.

Great little lunch spot in the area. I’ve gotten the chef’s choice lunch special every time I’ve gone here; for $ 11 you can’t beat it. California roll, 5 pieces of chef’s choice nigiri and your choice of miso soup or salad. The miso is pretty dang flavorful too. Everything is freshly prepared and always tastes of good quality — the fish is always tender and never has the fishy taste you get from frozen or days old stock. The restaurant is small but clean and has a limited but plentiful menu if that makes sense. Kind of reminds me of the small shoebox type restaurants I visited while in Japan. Next I’d like to try some of their Japanese comfort food such as the Katsu-don.

The calamari wasn’t good nor were their sushi rolls. Calamari tasted burnt and the sauce that came with it didn’t help any of the flavor. Snow crab salad only used the crab sticks and not the shredded crab meat. And the portion was so tiny! The sushi rolls were bland and plain. Their Udon was good though.

I love this little sushi restaurant! The sushi rice is perfect, everything is super fresh, and the roll combos never disappoint. I order take out here at least once a week, and my order is ready within 15 minutes. The employees here are kind and respectful — wonderful service. Good prices too — you can really get a lot of food for $ 10-$ 15.

I love this restaurant so much! The staff is so friendly and sweet and the sushi is 8⁄10. Considering the price, which is cheaper than most sushi places in Houston, it’s a damn good deal lol. One time they even offered me a free soda! Please help supporting them, they are incredibly nice folks who deserve to have a successful restaurant. 9.5÷10

My fiancé and I order delivery at least once a week since we’ve discovered this place and our experience has always been consistently good. Delivery is always prompt, and despite being delivered, items always come fresh as if we were eating at the restaurant. Huge plus to the way it’s packaged, they add cardboard cutouts to separate to food items plus sometimes write the names of the rolls on the box which is very thoughtful. The roll combos are my favorite and my usual order. Comes with a salad or miso soup. My fiancé is more daring and orders something different each time. So far he’s enjoyed everything except their fried rice, which is on the bland side.

I’ve been craving some real good authentic Japanese food for sometime. I ordered the nabayaki udon to go and asked for the noodle and broth to be separated. They were kind enough to do so. The broth was delicious and it brought back back memories from living in Japan. There was tons of vegetables in the broth and there was enough to keep me full. I can’t wait to go back and try other items on the menu.

Cheap, good quality sushi! Plus points for being close to home. I’m a sushi addict and I need to eat it at least twice a week or I’ll end up dreaming about it. But sushi restaurants can be a little too pricey for a broke college student like me. So this place is a good alternative if I just want a quick lunch or dinner. Ordered togo twice over the phone. Food were ready as soon as I arrived. I just paid and go. The place was empty both times though. Wonder why because the food is good for the price. Their selection is not bad too.

Tried both dine-in and delivery. Pleased with service, price, and delivery time. Easy to spend a lot but well worth the convenience of being near our home. Hope they are here to stay.

Delicious! I didn’t know there was a place near me that did sushi delivery. I put an order in, and the employee told me it would be from 40 – 50 min. I was kind of disappointed that it would take that long, that’s most of my lunch break! But it was here within 20 min, so it was actually a lot quicker!!! the food was delicious, wasn’t too expensive either. Will definitely be coming back to this place and trying out, the delivery guy was very friendly too! I got the 2 roll combo: eel avocado and crunchy roll(it comes with miso soup so that’s a big plus)

First of all, I don’t know of any Japaneses/Sushi places that delivers so this place by far, is the sweetest and convenient little gem! And not to mention, their sushi is really good for a mom & pop kind of place! The only thing that was slightly«ehh» once was their Ikura(salmon roe) it wasn’t as fresh as it looked but it was fine and I didn’t get sick. But I always order salmon and scallop nigiris and they’re always delicious! My friends has ordered different rolls and such and they loved it! We have Friday night and Monday night«sushi take out» at my job and it’s wonderful! I definitely recommend :)

I go to the school right behind this place. I know for sure a lot of the students including myself come here for lunch. Their sushi is good at a great price. It’s not the absolute best sushi in the world, but it still tastes satisfying enough me to keep coming back. I love their miso soup.

Went to this little gem in the evening around 6pm and had the place to ourselves. The sushi is very reasonably priced and even though we were there after 3pm, they let us order off the lunch menu. I had the L4, which came with an assortment sushi and sashimi of around 15 – 18 pieces at a cost of $ 15. The wife ordered a double roll for $ 10. Between the two of us, we were well fed. If your looking for a quiet sushi evening with good sushi, try this place.

This place has pretty good sushi, for a decent price and fast service. I loved the tempura here, and the spicy tuna roll was pretty good. Plenty of parking available in the outlet parking lot. Order at the counter then seat yourself. If there are a lot of people in line in front of you, the wait can be a little longer due to understaffing. Overall I enjoyed it and would return if I was in the area.

Love the sushi and their service. Not going to lie, the place doesn’t look much but this family owned business is gold and with delivery for sushi??? Epic! So close to my house too so that’s a super bonus for me!

Mediocre, cheap food. Bad water. Bunch of things listed on the menu are not available. Even worse service. Trash in the parking lot — not the restaurant’s fault, but part of the experience nevetherless. Skip it, and get ice scream next door instead.

I can’t find anywhere else in Houston that has all-day sushi so cheaply. You can buy a 2-roll combo for $ 10.95 or a 3-roll combo for $ 14.95. All combos come with a salad and miso soup. The Spider Crab roll and Houston roll are my favorites. The Spider Crab roll has soft shell crab(so you know it’d be much more expensive elsewhere). The Houston roll has a kick to it because of the spicy tuna, which I like. This past week 32-roll combos cost about $ 35 — chicken crunch, Spider, Houston, eel & avocado, Rock N Roll, & crunchy rolls. All of it was pretty good, although I should note by the time I got home, the avocado was already brown. I docked a star because the restaurant failed to provide salads. I should’ve checked the to-go order before I left, but I was in a hurry. Next time!

I came here because it was a new sushi place and I wanted another option that is close to work. This is a walk up the counter and order place not really waiter service. The prices are decent but I’d stick with the 2 roll combo. It’s like $ 11 and you can pick a specialty roll on a set menu with soup and salad. It may take a while to crank out sushi since the place is tiny and there is only one sushi chef.
