Great food if you’re on the right day! We tried it several times and we love it. The only issue is the inconsistency with quality and quantity! When they are busy they tend to get overwhelmed! And you order may be smaller than usual. Otherwise, a great place.

Coming from the airport and tied up in traffic we stopped at Sultan. Not expecting to find a Turkish Grill in that part of town but the food did not disappoint. I don’t understand all the bad previous reviews as I thought the food was excellent. Maybe we were hungry coming from the airport and eating peanuts in our flight. Food tastes a lot better on an empty stomach.

So I went to this place once before and everyone seemed nice but the menu was confusing. The food was decent. Then I went yesterday. When we walked in about 6:00 the place was empty. The menu got even MORE confusing(What’s a half grill? What comes with this meal? What makes it different from the rest of the menu? Why does rice only come with certain things?) And the man behind the counter was EXCEEDINGLY rude. He kept trying to upsell us on the menu, telling us one dish would give us more food for the same price. No, it wasn’t, it was $ 3-$ 6 more. When we tried to just tell him what we wanted to order, he ARGUED with us for about 10 minutes, until we finally gave in and paid $ 30 for two plates of food and two fountain drinks. We weren’t even sure what we had ordered at that point. We should have just walked out. I went to get black tea from the Gold Peak machine and green tea came out. The man behind the counter and the man who was cooking got into a loud argument in front of everyone. 20 minutes later, we got our food: Two Adana Kebab Combos. The lamb was under seasoned and had the consistency and of re-heated breakfast sausage. The rice was flavorless, but cooked well. The salad was basically a heap of vegetables with no sauce on top and waaaaaaay too much lemon on the bottom. It was inedible. The bread tasted like paper and dried my mouth out. I saw other customers in the shop being given the same treatment. Don’t bother with this place. I know I won’t.

I am trying their foods very often. Especially in Lunch time. Its quick and delicious, just get your lunch and go. Their prices not too much. Last time i tried their Sultan Kofte which was 10 $ as a combo. It was delicious and big portion. I think this restaurant good for lunch in that area. Highly Recommended…

Went there twice after they opened, disapponted. I love Turkish Food, grew up in Europe and know what is good Turkish food, this was a wanna be Lebanese(Fadi’s Grill Type ** Fadi’s is way Better) sorry but they did not have any appetisers that the Turkish are famous for, the meat was dry, no sauce, chicken dry, Cold Rice, cold Store Bought day old Pita Bread. and the Price is way Expensive $ 11 for a meal like that, I will drive to Rice Village for that. Sorry and Now they say New Manager and New Chef, but did they Bring in a REAL Turkish Menu? I hope the Owners reply to this message.

Maybe it is because I’m here fairly early, but the food isn’t great. The salads were fresh, but the tomatoes didn’t taste right. Everything is fairly bland, which is unlike other Mediterranean restaurants I’ve been to. The staff is pleasant and the place is clean.

I just got assigned to work in this area, so I have been exploring new places to eat. WHAT I ORDERED: Chicken Shawarma Wrap with Fries and a Drink for $ 10.72(with tax). I have had GREAT Chicken Shawarmas before, and I thought about $ 11 would be fair if I could experience that type of deliciousness once again. WHAT I GOT: After I ordered, the guy behind the cash register was yelling to the back to see if there were already fries made and ready to go. Yuck! Old fries! They were very fat crinkle-cut fries with no salt and not very crispy. I got my chicken shawarma wrap with chicken(that tasted good except for the cartilage chunks in two bites), lettuce, tomato and onion. NOSAUCE? The sauce, in my past experience, is what MAKES the shawarma so delicious! I choked my way through the exceedingly dry wrap. A simple fountain drink. NOPE, it wasn’t simple. I don’t know if they are using ground water or what??? But it had a very funky taste to it! I was not pleased. Especially after needing something to wash down my dry wrap.(I had the Coke Zero, by the way). I dumped it and went for something my taste-buds are not familiar with in the hopes that my little tasters would be unable to recognize whether or not it had a funky flavor. So, I went with orange soda. yuck, again. Will I every go back? I seriously doubt it!!!

Although I’ve been let down the past couple of times I’ve been here, I still enjoy the food for the most part. They’ve changed management and some of the menu(namely, the delicious meatball and potatoes dish) is gone. They still have meatballs, but they’re crisp/fried instead of stewed in a sauce. Still, they’re very good, but not what I was hoping for from my previous visit. The salads that come with the combos are in dire need of a little dressing, as it’s simply dry lettuce, onion and tomato. My husband had a chicken schwarma wrap on our most recent visit, and he(and myself) were unimpressed with it. The meat was so dark, it was hard to tell if it was chicken. It’s not like what you get at phoenicia, where the meat is shaved off a spit… it was bland chunks. I’m not sure there was even a sauce on the wrap, but only the dry lettuce, onion and tomato. I fear that due to these shortcomings, people won’t give them a chance. It makes me sad to see this place so empty every time I come. The hummus is great and they shine with their red meat dishes. On a recent visit, I was given a taste of their turkish tea and taught how to properly drink it. Very nice of them. It’s a unique genre for this area of town, and I hope they can make a few improvements and stick around.

The food was average. The selection is a bit too limited in my view. The pricing is confusing — what’s a half-side? I would prefer pure ala-carte, buffet or perhaps even pay-by-weight. I ended up spending about 13 dollars and was still hungry. The décor is nice. Great chairs.

After falling in love with Mediterranean food while visiting NYC, I’ve been on the hunt for a good shawarma and gyro since. My boyfriend and I were on our way to the gym when I noticed Sultan Turkish Grill and I got so excited! I had him immediately Google the menu and we were happy to see shawarmas listed. The first time we went we each got the beef and lamb shawarma and really enjoyed it! The meat is tender, the pita is delicious, and the sauce comes on the side so you get to control the amount you’d like to drizzle on that bad boy.(My boyfriend doesn’t like a lot of sauce and I drown mine so it works for us) He loved his so much he actually ordered another one to take with him back to his office. When a man wants more to take for later, you know it’s good! We’ve been three times since our first visit and I think it’s found a spot in our regular rotation of places to eat in the area. Also noteworthy, the falafel is pretty tasty and a nice little appetizer!

Went for lunch! So, the food wasn’t bad, however cold and overpriced! For $ 11+ one can get one meat(very small piece) and two small sides plate. The only thing that big there is a plate! Very little food for pricy lunch! Please, avoid!

Worst experience ever! I went excited to try something new! I waked in and stood there for about 6 min before anyone came to help(it’s like chipotle style serving). I told the guy I had never been here or anywhere like it. He laughed and said a bunch of stuff I could not understand and the just looked at me. I told him again I have never been here and I just wanted to try something and asked him to help… A few min latter after nodding yes and asking what about 50 times I had a plate of mush … Hummus, some white sauce, rice, and a green sauce. Then the next guy says PAY. I was like ummm … No do I get meet or bread or anything to go with this mush and he said yes but it’s extra. I spent $ 20 on dry chicken and Hummus with nothing to eat it with. I asked for a box thinking at least I could take the Hummus home and they said PAYEXTRA. I just left! Wile i was walking out the guy just started laughing at me. Don’t go if you don’t know why your doing because they won’t help you.

My wife and I stopped on a Saturday evening just to check the place out and pick up a menu and go to another restaurant for dinner. Good thing too, he place was packed and they were out of most things and items were coming out slowly from the kitchen. Nice people but definitely a mom and pop operation. I am guessing the weekends are their busiest nights. We will probably come back during a week day when they are less overwhelmed.

I took my family the first week they were open and had a pretty bad experience on that trip so I won’t be giving them a round 2 opportunity. Went in around 7pm on a Friday night and the place was moderately packed. We slide up to the order line and begin to make our way down the array of foods a available, mostly sides and salads. My wife was anxious to try the lamb but was told«we’re out of lamb.» So she follows my lead and orders the chicken shwarma. My son orders a beef and rice plate and we add a side of hummus as an appetizer. We find a table and start on the hummus and then a waiter comes over 10 mins later and says«we’re out of beef.» What’s left? Chicken of course so order that for my son. Me and the wife get our shwarma’s but my son’s plate is no where to be found. Another 10 mins go by and it shows up and looks ok, optimal word here. Some of the pieces of chicken were visibility under cooked. At that point we just left. Won’t be back.

Tried it out the other week for the first time. Ordered their mixed grill to-go with some hummus and salad. Excellent food, place looks clean and well decorated. Will definitely come back!

My wife and I went at almost closing time on Saturday. We where greeted with a smile to explain the menu and answer any questions about the food. Ordered and took food home and it was very good food. Will keep going back

The neighborhood that I work in is full of businesses, but there are hardly any restaurants– I was watching this place for months while it was being built and so excited that a non-Fast Food place was coming to our area! My coworkers and I tried it out for lunch and found it to still be working out some of the kinks. The ordering is a lot like Fadi’s– its cafeteria style. I went w/one meat and a half side from the menu, which got me pita bread, and for my half side I chose hummus, for my meat I chose a ground meat(possibly lamb?) roll that was sitting in this vat of juice. My meal came w/a huge portion of rice as well. All that cost $ 7.49. The meat roll was fantastic– super juicy, tons of wonderful spices, and quite filling actually. I also really liked the rice– I believe it was a pilaf and even tho it was simple– it was very flavorful. The bread was kind of dry tho and was not fresh– it was room temp. The hummus majorly lacked seasoning– it needed salt badly– so I didn’t really enjoy that. I absolutely would come back, but I think I’ll wait a couple of months before doing so to let them get some of their issues sorted out.
