I absolutely love coming to this place! The staff is so knowledgable and they have an amazing selection of herbs and essential oils. The music is very ambient and calming. They aren’t pushy in the sales tactics but make sure you are acknowledged and taken care of, which I like very much. It certainly beats going to a corporate health food store where most of the kids who work in those places are working their way through college or reading PC books about globalism and recycling and don’t really know what’s up. This the real deal! Places like this are a dying breed and I won’t go anywhere else, it’s just lovely…

I absolutely love coming here for lunch! They recently revamped the menu & I had the veggie flatbread wrap with vegan cheese & the split pea soup. THESPLITPEASOUPWASSOGOOD! I liked the wrap too, but that split pea soup got my tastebuds beggin for more. After I eat I always go over to the store side and buy a cookie or some chocolate. Anything sweet that looks good, lol.

One of my favorites! The food is nice and clean and they can customize several items on the menu to your liking.

Smoothies were great, the chili pie and chicken salad sandwich however lacked taste and weren’t very flavorful. Might just go for the smoothies but it’s kinda of a long drive so eh. Maybe. Maybe not.

Food was really good. So nice to have a restaurant that catered to those of us that have a hard time eating out w/food allergies & such. My only complaint is the people working there. They just«weren’t» anything. They weren’t seeming glad to see you, weren’t glad to help you, weren’t glad to ring you up. Nothing. Robots w/no emotion.

Love the food. Good size portions to fill you up and creative yummy dishes for vegetarians, vegans and meat eaters! Reasonable prices too :). Will definitely be back to try all the various menu items

If you want to eat something healthy that actually tastes good then this is the place for you! Now I’m not the type of person that craves vegetables(the main way I consume them is via juice/smoothies), but my go-to here is the veggie quesadilla. It doesn’t even taste like you’re eating vegetables! It’s flavorful and filling! But if you want some protein, don’t worry they have you covered. I will sometimes add the chicken which is juicy and adds extra depth to the flavor. The rice and beans are a little bland but if you mix them together with the pico you’ll be alright. I can’t speak much for the other food because I love the quesadilla so much that I mainly come here specifically for that. This is also one of the few places I don’t mind eating alone due to the hominess and laid back atmosphere. Everyone I’ve encountered here is friendly. My personal favorite part is that it’s not just a restaurant but a health food store. The food items you can find cheaper elsewhere but they also have organic and natural medicine/supplements which might be more difficult to find, even at whole foods. They even sell things like incense and spices by the bulk.

Menu is simple and the food is humble. Chicken salad is really good and it’s a quick place to stop for healthy, local food.

This is my favorite restaurant in Houston! It’s not fancy and it’s kinda confusing next to the pharmacy but the food is amazing! I’m not a Vegetarian but I don’t like eating meat! This place has amazing vegetarian options! Not just a plain salad! I’ve tried half the menu, including some meat dishes and there’s not one thing I don’t like! The meals are fresh, organic, healthy and all the ingredients come from farms, I love that! Oh and the prices are great!

Visited this place again today. I usually get the big veggie plate with the red curry but decided on a chicken caesar salad. Amazing. like really super delicious. I go out of my way to eat here.

Update: I have given this little store a second chance after learning of new ownership. I’ve been in at least four times now and find the staff extremely helpful, and the pre-packaged foods much improved. I have yet to try an entrée from the kitchen, but every time I’ve been in the café seating was well-populated. They carry a large variety of Three Twins Ice Cream, including Dad’s Cardamom(my personal favorite that I can’t find anywhere). I wish them much luck and success in this area. It’s nice to have them in the neighborhood.

Literally stumbled across this place as I was walking towards the Lupe Tortilla across the street with all intentions of gorging myself with everything deliciously bad for me. With a little bit of will power and the sight of their baked goods luring me in, I decided to give this place a shot instead. The café is located inside of a health food store and is barely noticeable except for the green tent leading up to the door. There are tons of options on the menu and best of all — they’re all healthified! We ordered the Salmon & Avocado Sandwich and Chicken & Mushroom Enchiladas(w/red sauce) to split and both were delicious. The bread on the sandwich was so fluffy and the salmon was cooked perfectly. Of course I couldn’t pass up trying one of their cookies(or 3 — thanks to their $ 5 credit card minimum) and unfortunately all of them looked better than they tasted. I can’t speak for the rest of the desserts, but I’ll most likely be sticking to the food next time.

Such a great restaurant. The staff here is so friendly, and the food here is always incredible. My go to meals here are the fajitas, the taco plate, and the macrobiotic plate. Their juice is pretty great as well. But seriously, you have to try their homemade hummus. It’s a must if you stop by.

Really is a hidden treasure in the Echo Lane shopping center. Like everyone else has said, I had not noticed it before(even tho I’ve lived in Hedwig village my entire life) since it blends so easily into the background, but I wish I had sooner! The health food store/restaurant is open all week except Sunday’s. The restaurant itself doesn’t open until 9:30, so early morning ppl, watch out if you want a bite of breakfast there! The restaurant has some of the BEST brunch/lunch around! In my opinion, this place is better than Corner Bakery(which is all hyped up/aesthetically more modern and pretty). Get the breakfast pita which comes with a Greek salad and boca(which is feaux veggie sausage)/chicken sausage OR the breakfast quesadillas and you will NOT be disappointed. Not only does it taste more natural and has less salt/cheese, it still is packed with hearty satisfying flavor. The breakfast enchiladas was maybe a strange combination with scrambled eggs inside, but they were delicious nonetheless. You will feel full and happy afterwards.(Looking forward to coming back for lunch to try the spinach and mushroom enchiladas) Also, my friend and I split the hummingbird cupcake which tastes like carrot cake. Soooo good and moist! After finding this underrated gem of an eatery, my friend and I are sure to come back for more natural, farm based goodness. EVERYBODYSHOULDTRYTHISPLACE, I actually get cravings for it now!(Minus one star for expensive prices, a bottle of coconut water you can find at Costco at a cheaper price costs $ 6.25!!! Their juices and smoothies are also in the 7 – 8 $ range)

I love the high protein and low carbohydrate dish here. I usually have it with herb crusted salmon and it is dynamite! It literally blows a hole in my wallet because it cost me around $ 16-$ 20 for lunch every time I come here. But I can’t get enough of it. The salmon is always perfectly cooked, juicy, flaky and fresh, goes great with the crunchy stir fry vegetables. It is a part drug/health store and part restaurant that serves health conscious foods that are vegan, vegetarian, wheat free and dairy free. So if you like the sound of that check them out.

A hidden gem. Been shopping at the nearby Marshall’s and DSW for years and a Moveable Feast had always caught my eye, but never ventured inside. My friend stopped in for lunch earlier in the week and raved about the vegetarian chili. Of course, I had to check it out. It’s a health food store with a restaurant inside. Their menu includes everything from burgers and wraps to salads and dinner players of chicken and fish. you simply must check it out. So today I wanted to try out their pasture raised burger. OMG, very well made. I ordered it medium-well with all the fixins. I can’t say enough about how well it tasted-juicy, well-spiced with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and accompanied with blue corn chips. yummy. Followed up with hummingbird cupcake. AGAIN, OMG. Moist, moist, moist. I’ll definitely be back.

A co-worker suggested this place for lunch yesterday, and I was eager to give it a try since I had never heard of it before. I had been in the same parking lot on multiple occasions, but I have NEVER once noticed this place in there — it doesn’t stand out unless you are looking for it. The place is part health store part restaurant, so it is unique in that sense. When we arrived, it was not busy(11:30ish), but the line was quite long by the time we got our food. I ordered to the salmon and avocado sandwich, which came on focaccia bread and side of blue corn chips, and it was a pretty solid sandwich. All the pins were removed from the salmon, which a lot of places seem to not be able to accomplish, and the avocado and lettuce were both fresh. I believe the sandwich cost just under $ 12, so it wasn’t bad. I didn’t feel like I was about to bust at the seams after eating, not did I feel hungry, so it seemed to be the perfect size. I’m looking forward to going back and giving it another whirl.

Staffs at MF are friendly and the place is fairly clean; which made a very good first impression. I had the southwestern turkey burger. Everything is freshly made and cooked. The turkey burger was good and filling, but the turkey was a bit on the dry side.(3⁄5) The spinach and mushroom enchiladas that people rave about are delicious! I would say you couldn’t go wrong with the spinach and mushroom enchiladas!(4⁄5) Hummus and pita bread is pretty filling and good! The hummus is good, but pretty salty! Pita bread is usually served fresh but if you come in later during the day it’s not as fresh.(4⁄5) Overall, this is a great place to stop by and have lunch or take-out.

This place is old and the décor is lacking but for healthy food, do come here. I have taken home every type of pre-made chicken, tuna, and egg salad and I love them. You can not go wrong. They do not put a lot of mayo and other fatty items in it. Also the Dailey specials are always good! Yes you are not going to have very well seasoned food here, it it a health food store/restaurant what do you expect folks? But what you do get away from eating from a place like this is no guilt. They now have juices and smoothies!
