An example of the value of SUPERB customer service. We did a takeout order for a party we were having. There was a problem with one of the components of the order. The manager, Jesse, handled my concerns PROMPTLY and to my TOTAL SATISFACTION. The food was delicious, and Jesse’s customer service was equally perfect.

I not sure if its a location issue but I wasn’t impressed by our dinner at Lupe. So I ordered the Shrimp Tacos and there was more lettuce than shrimp on my tacos. I’ve been to other Tex-​Mex restaurants and the shrimp tacos were accompanied with like a flavorful salsa or the marinade had alot of flavor. These shrimps were buried under a mountain of lettuce that I had to remove the lettuce to make sure that I had shrimps in my tacos. The sides were rice and frijoles and they were meh. I still like Lupes but I think I will stick to the one on Highway 6 or the one on 99.

The fresh guac made by the table is great! So is their salsa. We just came by here for drinks and a snack since we don’t live in the area, but would be back. Our waiters were very nice too! But I think they went to the wrong table. Sang my little sister happy birthday and brought us flan. We didn’t tell anyone any of that and her birthday is def in September, buuuut we accepted the song and the flan happily.

Food was good but watch out for your Credit card info. my was stolen at this restaurant by a white short female in her late 20s or early 30s and she used $ 250 at Kohls in Spring Texas. Taking money from me and my family is not a great way to do business I hope the manager Jake does his diligence for his customer And find out who the perpetrator is. The restaurant is located in a rich neighborhood but not everybody is rich that goes to this restaurant. So this could hurt a low income family. I even tipped her 20%. Sorry but I do not support anybody that steals.

This place was so awesome back in the 90’s! What happened?
We’ve been three times in the last few months and the service was terrible each time. Food was served cold, not timely at all and the rice was actually not even good. Our fajitas were served also cold… no sizzle!
It’ll have to be a long time before I decide to try this location again. (Blalock & IH10).

If you are craving Fajitas this is your place. They marinade their steak in a lime juice and then slice them up. Toss those onto a sizzling grill, serve with fresh, hot flour tortillas and you are good to go. I usually only come here for the fajitas or the steak.
Parking can be a problem since it is in a parking lot with about 20 other businesses but eventually, you can find something.
Protip: order the Carne Asada steak, which is what they make the fajitas from and its TONS cheaper. Slice your own steak up :)
Double protip: the chips and salsa (and beans) are like crack. Be sure not to fill up TOO much from those!

Too expensive, horrible service and average food
For one pound of beef fajitas it costs 41 dollars. Did not feel like I got my money’s worth and they gave me much too side toppings and I felt overcharged.

Lupe has the best tortillas and fajitas!!! You must get the flour tortillas they are large and thin. Definitely get the Mexican Express loyalty card which gives discounts on future meals. If it’s your birthday you get a free queso and desert, the queso is excellent as well. If you let the server know it’s your birthday expect to wear a large sombrero and be sung a birthday song!

First off — their salsa is fantastic! More of a pico de gallo than a salsa, in my opinion… but man, I can eat a bucket of it! Second, I love their beef fajitas! They have great flavor and taste amazing wrapped in one of their handmade tortillas! Service is great here although it can get real busy depending on when you go. This place is definitely a regular spot we hit up when we’re in town.

This was the perfect ending after spending the day with Band Kids. I had the white chicken chili & My Fiancéé had the chicken Lupe. Both dishes were absolutely delicious! We shall return.

We love Lupe Tortilla! It is one of the few restaurants that our entire family can agree on. The only negative that I can even think of is that it can be hard to get into on Friday and Saturday nights. We normally get the bulk fajitas and share… along with the obligatory queso that is always a crowd pleaser. We also enjoy the tortilla soup and if you are lucky enough to be a passenger and not the driver… try a margarita or two.

This is one of my favorite places to get beef fajitas. The beed is marinated with lemon juice, salt and pepper, it is very tasty and juicy. The chicken fajitas and the bacon-​wrapped jalapeño-​stuffed shrimp is also outstanding. The frozen margaritas are a great addition to any meal. Furthermore, the fajitas come with the works, refried and charro beans, rice, guacamole, sour cream and pico de gallo. The best part is that each one of them is very tasty and a great compliment to the fajitas. The staff is normally very friendly and attentive. Overall, this place is consistently good and worth the visit.

My office catered from Lupe Tortilla this Monday and I really enjoyed it (more than other Mexican catering I’ve had recently).
1. Beef fajita meat was tender and tasty (lots of lime!) even after being out in the open for a while.
2. The guacamole didn’t run out! Usually the guac runs out first because restaurants are stingy with it.
3. They had queso for the chips (yes, this was in addition to the guac, pico de gallo, salsa, etc.).
4. All utensils, drinks, everything was included.
I’m definitely going to go eat at the store soon and see what else they have.

One of my last nights in living Houston, my brother, a friend and I visited Lupe Tortilla. I will say, we were all very impressed.
They said the wait would be 30– they got us in within 15 minutes. We asked Jason, our server for recommendations, and he happily gave them (even though I have already forgotten). What I do remember is I tried everyone’s food, and it was absolutely delicious. Good size portions.
More on Jason– he was a fantastic server. I was a server for 5 years and I am picky about the service I receive. He asked if it was our first time– it was, so he walked away and less than 5 minutes later the manager came with samples of their soft shell tacos– delicious! Jason then explained that the meat was marinated in lime juice and cracked black pepper– if you visit you need to ask about this.
Also, ask for Jason. Very friendly, quick, and our drinks were never less than ¾ full. Lupe tortilla is one of my new favorites in Houston.

Their fajitas are hugeeee and I can never finish it but is so delicious that every time I go there that’s what I order !!!
Waiters and waitresses are friendly and always happy to help with anything!

I used to love coming to this location because of their delicious Vegetable fajitas. However all that changed until I found a cockroach in my small bowl of black beans last night. Although they compensated my meal, I don’t think I would ever come back to this location. The manager did tell me that they spray their facility once per week. I would hope that after last night’s incident, they will have it sprayed more than just once. To anyone that loves their black beans, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Came here for cinco de mayo. Came here without a reservation, only had to wait 20 minutes for a group. The food came out a little bit slow, but when it did come out, it came out sizzling hot. You must try the fajitas if its your first time! They also serve home made tortillas and house margaritas. Theres plenty of seating, great for groups both on the patio and inside.

I cant believe I have eaten lunch here a few times and I have not written a review? My most recent visit was for lunch because it is in close proximity to my office.
One thing about Lupe’s you need to get here early as they fill up pretty quickly at lunch time. So with that in mind I arrived @11:15 and I asked to be seated on the front patio with the weather being very nice to sit out.
My waiter took my order and he brought me some chips and salsa until I received my shrimp quesadillas pretty quickly. Lupe’s quesadillas are double in size to normal so my 4 were like 8 lol. As usual they were delicious. One amusing thing that happens was while I was awaiting on my order a little bird fly by my table and stop to grab a chip and took off.
Always a good visit here if you arrive before the rush.
