A waste of my time and money. They got my order wrong and most of what I got was subpar. The falafel sandwich was pretty good, though. I wouldn’t bother unless you’re drunk/high and hungry after most places close.

The best halal food truck in Houston(and actually the first)! My favorite is the chicken shawarma arabi. I don’t know what they do to the chicken, but it tastes delicious. If you like shawarma, this place is a must.

ABUOMARHALAL(insert Arabic tongue trill here)! I just can’t even begin to be serious right now! This is a darn good food truck. I ordered a chicken shwarma arabi and it was ultra delicious. The chicken was not dry and it was very flavorful. I also loved that it didn’t have an almost sour bitter after taste like some places do. This was my first time trying the pickled veggies, and I must say I enjoyed them with my shwarma. The french fries are epreetty good too! Portions are large I only managed to eat half of it but if I really wanted to push my luck, I could so have totally finished it in 1 sitting. The food truck is located in a gas station so just beware after the sun sets. I definitely recommend this for the foodies that do not mind the food truck experience.

Cheapest food out of the three vendors on that intersection. You get a lot of food and its filling I got a sandwich but on a return visit I would get one with the Arab bread and a little less mayonnaise. Nice guy and good value though.

The chicken shawarma was delicious and better than the competing places around. Very reasonably priced though I do advice not going if you are in a rush.

I had given this place five stars. But now I don’t think it lives up to it. Disappointing !!

I LOVETHISPLACE, my wife and I had such great experience at Abu Omar Halal. amazing menu options, prices wise more than fair, portions size would satisfy even the biggest appetite!!! Try the Arabic chicken shawarma plate, or the Flafel sandwich. Tip; ask for a plate of pickles TASTEY!

I highly recommend this food truck; the food is amazing the Chicken Shwerma is better than any shawerma I’ve tested in Houston; the sauce that they use is absolutely out standing. Me and family got addicted to it. Food prepared quickly and the prices are great. Perfect a stop on your lunch break or a late night craving.

The truck is located at a Shell gas station right across the street from Gyro King. I like that there are more Halal food popping up around this area and decided to try this place. My friend and I came on a Friday night around 10 pm(I called and they said they close at 2 am). There were a few other people there but got they got their food quickly. When we went to order, they were out of everything except the shawarmas. On top of that it would take 20 min because they needed to cook it longer. Normally I would’ve called it quits but since we had some time, we decided to just sit outside the shell quick mart. PRICE: $ 8.50 for a chicken or beef shawarma sandwich combo(+side and drink). This is not much different than Gyro King so it’s about standard. However, this was not the price listed on the website and all the prices on the truck were blacked out with tape. It seems like this place raised prices without any way of customers knowing FOOD: Awful. My beef shawarma sandwich(which is more like a wrap) was cut up and looked okay. When I bit into it, the beef tasted like dry ground beef. It didn’t have any seasoning or flavor. In addition, the sandwich was supposed to be on a pita bread with pickles, tomatoes, parsley, onions, and tahini sauce. NONE of that was on my sandwich! I only got a tortilla wrapped around some crumbs of beef. I also got a side of fries which were okay. They were flat fries with some seasoning. It was passable. SERVICE: Very poor. First off, it shouldn’t take 20 min to make one of the only items they had available. My friend ordered just the sandwich without the combo. Instead he got the combo and got charged for it. And the funny thing is, neither of our«combos» came with a drink yet we both got charged for combos. When I asked him about it, he told me the only drink he has was Sprite which was fine. But instead of getting me the drink he got out of the truck to take a smoke with his friend nearby instead. I asked him again but he didn’t respond. His friend double parked behind both my friend and me so we asked them to move the car. However, the owner smoked with his friend a few more minutes before even walking to the car. Then they talked for another few minutes while my friend and I were just sitting ducks waiting to leave. Finally the owner let his friend go and we could leave this horrible experience behind. I wanted to try a new business but this owner barely seems to care. I would go to Basha Kebob for a restaurant who cares about their customers and the quality of their food.

Nice service. Great amount of food for the amount you pay. Will have you saying hold back on the meat. Have them cut the sandwich in portions; otherwise it’s tough to eat.
