WORST APARTMENT EXPERIENCE! DO.NOT.LIVE HERE!!! They NEVER fix anything right. They may be prompt but it’s always a crappy, temporary fix. Toilets never flush, bug infestation and shower leaked down through the living room ceiling. Gross! I wish I could give zero stars. The management used to be good when we first moved there then the new manager completely ignored any problems we ever had. She would sit in her office and I could see her and I would walk in a ask to speak with her… The desk assistant would walk into the managers office, walk back and tell me oh she isn’t in… Way to step up and take care of your tenants. SO UNPROFESSIONAL! Keep searching for something better. It may be cheaper, but it’s not worth it.

My experience has been about the same as most. Truthfully if I had time to search for a new place and move all my things it would have happened. My neighbors are great, but that is not the general population here. The bathtubs are full of peeling paint, there is a roach issue, and not outside! The office makes several mistakes, and no one seems to know what the other is doing. There’s never ownership of the major mistakes, breach of privacy, or lack of communication. Your personal information is discussed freely with tenants present, apparently they do not understand as leasing agents they are an extension of credit and this violates FTC guidelines. I would say live here with no expectations of professionalism or timely repairs, and limit your dealings with the office. The kitchens and bathrooms are below standard for the rent you pay, for a few dollars more you could live in much nicer community’s nearby. I unfortunately was showed a model when signing my lease and not my actual place of residence, due to availability.

Excellent staff, safe place to live!
I have lived here since April 2014 and have no plans of leaving. The office staff is very attentive and friendly, they have helped me with any issue I have ever had (which is not many). Our townhome is beautiful, clean, and bug free. Parking is usually abundant, excellent brand new exercise equipment, three pools, beautiful landscaping. I won’t be leaving anytime soon!

WOW!!! I have read the reviews listed below and I have to say that while some may have had a bad experience it really isn’t as bad as it sounds.
I worked for a very well known management company for seven years before I made a decision to change my career path so I can give a little better insight to the things that are being said.
–Pest control. We pay $ 1.50 a month for this service. It is something that we do not get weekly unless we ask for it. Otherwise it is a rotation of buildings throughout the year.
–Lease terms. If you signed a 12 month lease thinking you signed a 6 there really isn’t anything someone in the office can do for you. My best advice be aware of what you are signing. When you sign your lease READ and LISTEN to what you are being told. They can change that 12 to 6 right there before you sign it.
–mailboxes are not the properties property!
–This property has had a few managers since I have been here. Two to be exact, but I do know the previous manager was here for a while.
–This is an old community… the bath tubs are resurfaced. Mine has peeled as well but I know that sometimes that can happen with an older property.
–I have never had an issue with ants. Ever.
–Briarwest is a beautiful community and there are a ton of big trees. With that being said you may see a few big tree roaches afar the rain or in the heat. That is going to be anywhere though.
Those are just a few things that I know. I could go into more detail but I will tell you about my experience.
I enjoy living here. I have only come across one washing machine that didn’t work. When I have gone in to refill my card the leasing agents always tell me if they have had to report a machine or if one was down. I have never had any problems with the office staff, they have always been helpful to me. Megan and Colleen are really nice people. Any time maintenance is needed they have been over in just a few hours. The only thing that I have to complain about is the parking. We do get an assigned covered parking spot. Mine isn’t that close to my apartment so if it is late or I have things to carry in I try to park in the open parking. The open parking area is usually always full because nobody parks in their assigned spot.
Briarwest is a nice cute little community. I would recommend this to someone.

I lived here for a year and a half and ended up finding someone to sublet so I could get out of here. When you move in they are so accommodating and even give you money off your first month for positively reviewing them online. But once the honeymoon is over, it’s back of the bus for you!
The girls in the office are fantastic. They’ll do whatever they can to help you, including sharing your personal information with other residents. It’s great! You don’t even have to introduce yourself to the neighbors! The property manager position turns over frequently and you never know who’ll be running the place next. But one thing is for sure, they’ll make sure the maintenance people continue to blame anything that goes wrong on the resident and suggest sexual favors for helping you lift something. You don’t even have to date anymore! Whew!
If you like places with some history, you can unknowingly rent an apartment that wasn’t properly cleaned after a resident spent 7 days decaying in the summer heat. But don’t try to get out of the lease once you find out! Greystar’s corporate lawyers will have you practicing your John Hancock on a confidentiality agreement or just clean up (not the apartment, of course) in court. It’s the dream of the underpaid! Get it while it lasts!
Entomology hobby anyone? You’re in luck! You can also brush up on your physics while being dive-​bombed by cockroaches on your patio! And don’t worry about picking up those pesky crumbs inside because the ants will get there in no time (literally, seconds). Who needs a housekeeper?
As you wind up your weekend and get your laundry done, you can check out the new gang graffiti on the washers and dryers and make bets with your friends over which ones work! And, after you’ve practiced your folding technique on the clothing of the strangers who leave their clothes in the dryer for 4 hours, you don’t even have to check to see if your clothes are dry as they’ll kindly open your dryer for you to check (although they don’t seem to know how to close it and the time runs out with everything still wet). Oh well, I know they are just trying to help. This is because Briarwest is super classy!
So unpack, relax, and enjoy your new place at Briarwest! It’s so cozy, you’ll die here…

I only got to live here for 9 months before having to move since I am moving out of state, but I will recommend this place to anyone looking for an adorable community with an attentive staff. Not to mention an easy walk to banks, pharmacies, gyms, restaurants, grocery and convenience stores.
Neighbors are extremely friendly, around my building some tenants had a garden growing, another offered me some artwork she was getting rid of when I was moving in to help decorate.
They have 24 hour security driving around, and all of my maintenance requests were answered in 24 hours, as well as questions I would email to the front office.
My place was immaculate when I moved in, fresh paint, new carpet, everything was spotless. I had pest control come every 3 months (as a precaution since I lived on the first floor) so I never had a problem with pests. I honestly don’t even think the precaution was necessary since the place was so well sealed. While living here I always had the lowest electricity bills ever.
The only cons I can think of are there were occasionally people having parties in buildings around me, but again, neighbors are super friendly, if you asked them to tone it down (nicely) I’m positive that they would.

I’ve lived in two separate units in this complex and it’s great if you love ants and toilets that don’t flush!
We’ve had ant infestation problems for over a year, and when i called to complain, Niki (the office manager) told me to «pour bleach down the drain.» I don’t pay over 1k a month to pour bleach down my drain! They force you to pay for pest control, but not only do they not have the pest situation taken care of after a complaint, but THEY WON’T COME OUT UNLESS YOU ASK — which means you’re paying for them monthly, and they’ll only show up if you call. CALL EVERY MONTH. Otherwise, you’re wasting your money and time.
The girls at the front were friendly at first. They told me i was signing a 6 month lease and it was 12 months (i take accountability for not reading my lease, but don’t lie to me!) and i had to call corporate to take care of it. Because when i talked to Niki, she said «There’s nothing we can do.»
1. The washers and dryers don’t work half the time. I’ve had my money stolen by a machine that was broken twice.
2. My mailbox was broken into, and when i talked to them they told me it wasn’t their problem.
3. My car was broken into. Filed police report.
4. They cut off the water once every few months for «maintenance.»
5. My upstairs bathroom toilet flushes one out of five times. So if you’ve got a big one, you better time yourself!
6. My bathtub’s paint came off completely, it wiggles between my toes in the shower. They said they were coming out to fix it when i went on a trip, and i got back to… nothing. They did nothing.
Stay as far as possible from this place.
