If you have to eat in IAH this is the place to go. The menu is familiar and satisfying. service is at the level of a restaurant off the airport. Only place i go to eat when in IAH

I have so much respect for the chef but have now ate at her airport locations at IAH and SFO. Went with the angus burger on brioche today. Tomato was inedible and the burger was shaped like a 1960’s space ship. Über thick in the middle and thin on the sides. The sweet potato fries were a complete disappointment and fried from frozen. Cat, this mediocre cuisine does not command this price. We should have stopped at Ruby’s Diner.

Gonna be a short review, because United Airlines is on time and it doesn’t appear they are willing to wait on me. Seated immediately. At the bar overlooking stations in the kitchen, love watching the activity as items are being prepared. Service was excellent! Had a Modelo draft and the lamb meatballs. Was able to watch the meatballs being cooked on the grill. Nice char, incredible flavor, memorable sauce. Presentation was great also. A 5 on the Unilocal scale! As I sit on the plane, we are being pushed back… so, this would be the end of this review. Airplane mode…

I broke from my usual Texmex selection at IAH to have a proper lunch for a change while at an airport. I like this place because the food is very good and there’s comfortable seating that beats the food court by a mile. I would have given a 5-star rating but the service was very slow. Hoping for a better experience next time.

Being stuck at an airport due to bad weather/cancelled flight is never a good thing… However, if in the middle of a disastrous experience you can find a place with warm delightful food and the best Cucumber Martini ever existed, made by Oscar… Then you have a piece of heaven… Long story short… I was stuck in IAH airport for 2 days… slept on a bench, freezing cold, woke up the next morning and while walking around the airport I found Cat Cora’s Kitchen… or maybe it found me… Sad as I was, Cat Cora’s menu had exactly what I needed: strong coffee, warm breakfast and good company from Oscar the bartender… So since I was in the Twilight Zone in IAH, stuck because of UA incompetence, I returned to Cat Cora’s the next day for lunch and the most delicious Cucumber Martini… Needless to say, my nightmare with airlines/airports/weather in Houston, was made less painful because of this place. Yes, you should try it!

I was delighted to find a nice restaurant in an airport that was jammed full of people and fast food establishments. Most of the places to eat had long lines, and so so looking buffet style food. I had an awesome Avocado Salad with Feta, Tomatoes and other tasty little morsels with a nice dressing. The price was okay, but not much higher than all the other places, with what looked like sub par food. I would definitely recommend this for the food and quieter atmosphere which was a mental relieve from all the hustle and madness in the terminal.

Pleasant surprise, especially for an airport terminal. I had a long layover at IAH, so I walked terminal C, D, and E in search of a suitable restaurant for lunch. Landed here at Cat Cora’s near gate E10. And glad I did! Had the roasted tomato soup(cup) and farmhouse grilled cheese combo. The soup was not very warm, but I’m beginning to think no restaurant serves up soup to my desired temperature. The farmhouse grilled cheese… yummy. I wanted another. White cheddar and feta cheese with caramelized onion on toasted bread that was not drenched in butter. Soooo good. Servers were attentive and accommodating. There a many restaurant choices at IAH, but I highly recommend this one.

Had the spicy tomato soup with farm house grilled cheese sandwich at the bar. Soup was hearty and rustic. Grilled cheese had the potential to be great but was more bread than cheese. Bread was toasted… no butter used to brown the outside. Maybe this was a healthy option. The filling of Brie, goat cheese, and caramelized onions had great flavor, but there was at least ¾″ of bread past the cheese. Personally used it to dip in the soup. Good appetizer or snack. Overall not a bad experience for an airport establishment. I would try other dishes here.

I’m writing this as I sit here waiting for the bill. There seems to be only 1 server working. We sat down and there was someone next to us that asked for the bill and didn’t get it til 10 to 15 mins later. Other tables around us still has food from previous people just sitting there. I got the egg omlete with Chile. Very basic tasting, definitely not worth the price or time coming here. Turkey bacon tastes hard and fake. Chicken sausage, I have no words for how weird and disgusting it tasted. They messed up on my friends order and on mine. Potatoes were shriveled, dry, and burned. Best thing was the COLD toast.

Great,(way) above average airport food. We had a burger, and it was delicious. The service was also quick, which is key when you want to grab a quick bite before your flight. I’d definitely recommend Cat Cora’s Kitchen.

A solid but pricey place to grab a bite while waiting for my flight. I was impressed with the service I received here. My waiter was friendly and very professional. My husband and I ordered chimuchurri chicken burger to share and a hoegaarden beer. The burger was great; the chicken was well seasoned and cook topping with a cabbage salad. A bit messy to cook but the flavors were good. The fries it comes with are way too salty for my liking. Other than the price, this is a great place to kill sometime while grabbing a good bite.

Try the mac and cheese. It is definitely legit for airport food. Cat Coras does not disappoint as long as you are in the terminal. A great place to get some food on the run

Really impressed with this restaurant. I sat near the kitchen, and they are running this like a well oiled machine! My waiter was extremely nice, attentive, service was fast, but not rushed. I had the mahi sandwich, no bun, with sweet potato fries. Ohhh the fries. SO good. Mahi was great too. Would definitely return if I’m back at IAH.

3.5 stars. Had a few hours to pass, since I missed my flight(flash floods caused road closures), so I decided I’d try Cat Cora’s Kitchen despite reading a couple of two-star reviews from Unilocal friends. So much of the menu sounded great, but seafood and other food allergies limited me to trying either the steaks, cheeseboard, burger, and desserts. I didn’t mind the menu prices, since all of the food here are made-from-scratch and are seasonal. The burger and sweet potato fries entrée cost of $ 15 did make me hesitate for a heartbeat, or two, but an app of SPF and aioli was $ 7, so an $ 8 burger, made from ground steak patty and NO fillers, such as egg and breadcrumbs, on brioche, with lettuce, tomatoes, and crisp slices of red onion sounded reasonable to me. The cooking temperature(medium) was spot on, the seasoning and meat flavor were delicious, and the patty was juicy while the SPF were nicely crisped and tasted very fresh. I would order this again. I’m thinking maybe on future outbound trips I’ll book later flights and plan on having another leisurely meal here. I’ll definitely ease up on the fries so as to have room for dessert! I regret skipping on that chocolate lava cake with sea salt caramel– all made from scratch!

Based on a Scallop and pasta dish and a friendly bartender… this is the place to be. I am writing my review as I pass back through Houston trying to find something different, but Cat Cora’s seems to be the better choice… inevitable.

Had a nice meal here with great service while waiting for our next flight after missing one. We had about 3 hours to kill so we decided to try to find a nice sit-down place to eat and this is what I decided on because it boasted fresh foods with local ingredients and that is always what I’m all about. My husband and I ordered the house-made fries which came out hot and fresh about 10 minutes later with some delicious bleu cheese dip — YUM. I loved them. I went with a cobb salad with shrimp and my husband chose their steak tacos if I remember correctly. My salad was good — with all the ingredients I covet when traveling — but the sun-dried tomatoes were REALLY small and chewy with the consistency of laughy-taffy — was nasty. Also — it only had about 4 mini shrimp on it and adding shrimp added something like $ 8… so that was disappointing. Our server was friendly and paid a decent amount of attention to us throughout the meal and it was paced well.

After coming off a flight from Newark I stopped at this place for breakfast this morning to get the best service and food at an airport ever Oscar my waiter at the bar was so courteous, thoughtful and didn’t miss a trick! More coffee, can I charge you’re phone for you(after he saw me struggling with a plug) Service with a smile, and a thank you is hard to find these day Before I left, can I give you a coffee to go? It was a pleasure to serve you Holy Crap am I in Oz? If you’re in Houston United Terminal E. Go sit at the bar and say hello to Oscar. Bravo! For putting the customers first!

This place is great. I love the presentation and the unique menu. My favorite server, Sara is now bartending and only 3 days a week. Thanks for making the trip to CC fun and keeping my coffee full. Good luck!

Let me preface this by saying that all I ordered was a beer. The service was great! Never did I know that Cat Cora has her own beer. I do watch Cat Cora on various food channels, but missed the buck on trying the food here because I was already full. The menu was impressive, however… as was the ambience.

Boring… This is just«food» and nothing special. The good: Shannon Cab for 11.00 The bad: Edamame Avocado Hummus … It should be removed from the menu. It is sooooo dull. No hint of Avocado. —- just thick hummus with a green color. Sorry Cat Cora …
