Great service from Jordan and the food and drink is exactly what was needed before a 9 hour flight! Good atmosphere, efficient delivery of food and lovely quality too.

For airport dining, not bad at all. Idk if it was b/c we were in Texas, but the portions were massive! Our waitress was the best! Super friendly and made great recommendations. I had the cinnamon roll French toast with eggs and added mushroom. That French toast was bomb… had to be like 1,000 calories tho, I was stuffed after a few bites lol. I can’t recall what my fiancé ordered, but he enjoyed it. I’d definitely recommend Rubys to anyone with a long layover at the Houston airport.

After a long and cramped flight thousands of feet above god’s green earth I was in dyer need of a remedy to the spell the airplane had forced upon me; that is when I stumbled upon Ruby’s Diner in Houston International Airport. You know that feeling when you fall asleep on the couch watching something you don’t really like cause you can’t find the remote, but you wake up a few hours later and your favorite show came on the channel you happened to be watching. That’s the sort of spot Ruby’s hit for me. I ordered an Oreo milkshake that was creamy and delicious and a bacon cheeseburger that was expertly grilled and prepared. On top of that the service was phenomenal and fit beautifully with the ambience of a time when service meant something. I give Ruby’s a 5⁄5 stars and would consider booking a flight to Houston just to come back here and eat and then fly home.

Great service. A very patient server for a very confusing party or 6! If I could remember her name I’d love to give her props for her efforts, but unfortunately it has been a long week!

Off menu BLT was just what the doctor ordered after arriving from an international flight. Could’ve been because it’s exactly what I was craving or because it is really that good, but I almost melted after biting into that bacon paradise of a sandwich. Thanks for being there when I needed you most, Rubes!

Definitely an above average experience as far as airport dining goes, Ruby’s provided a tasty meal with friendly service. We had a few hours to kill at George Bush Airport in Houston between flights, and were looking for a satisfying meal. The menu at Ruby’s Diner consists of good ol’ American comfort food: burgers, beer, milkshakes, salads, and various deep fried foods. We went with the guacamole burger($ 13.50) and a tuna melt($ 13.99), plus a couple of beers– good stuff! The french fries were hot and crispy, and the sandwiches were delicious. My only gripe about the meal is that when the waitress asked if I would like lettuce and tomato on the tuna melt, she failed to mention that I would be charged more for it. Oh well, I thought that the prices here were quite reasonable for an airport restaurant.

We actually had a long enough layover to have a sit down lunch, so we settled on this place. We got sat right by the kitchen area, which was a little loud, but whatevs. I got a chicken sandwich, Joel W got a guac burger, and we split some fries. Service was good, our waters stayed full, and everything came out fresh. Everything was adequately tasty, though my chicken sandwich was a little gristly at the end. Absolutely a-ok, which is pretty good for airport food.

It does what it needs to in the airport. Burger, fries, salad and drinks. I thought it said breakfast all day, but apparently only until 11am. There is something special about an airport diner in the mornings. Where else can you see some people eating bacon and eggs, next to a salad, next to a burger, next to someone trying to get as trashed as they can before getting on a plane. Ahh airport food. The prices weren’t bad for airport food.

I had great service & the food was delicious! As a vegetarian, I was very happy with the veggie burger. It was a great take on a veggie burger & better than the simple boring ones I’ve had in the past. Yum!

this location in the IAH airport is always very busy at lunch time. The service is amazing, still, very attentive and nice servers who always ask if everything is good for you and make sure you have everything you need. The burgers I feel are so overpriced and have always been that way. The burgers are so basic and nothing special. for that price I’d like something better than a very simple burger, but what are ya gonna do, right? Also had the Greek salad here which is pretty good, very large portion salads. I also love the oldies music playing too… Well it turns out they charged my card TWICE… um, okay. now have to dispute the charge.

The bartenders rock my socks! The beer was pricey but… It’s airport beer, so that’s to be expected. I had the guacamole burger and loved it. Definitely a great destination and a breath of fresh air during a super long layover.

AMAZING! Anything that is owned by Pappas is no brainier for great food and great service and Ruby’s is no exception! My Skinny margarita was made with freshly squeezed limes right in front of me and it was sooo good! We also had the cheeseburger dip and shared a cheese burger. It was all made to perfection and quick too! Our bartenders, Victoria and Toni were super sweet and attentive! They were in complete control of their busy bar!

We have NEVER had a bad experience at a Ruby’s Diner until now. It was at the airport and we saw this place and instead of going to look for another place, we decided to just hang out here for a bit since we never had a bad experience before. I ordered a burger which was cooked well, my wife ordered a salad and unfortunately it came with some extra live protien. Now, I would say that was not right, however, the manager Chris was AWESOME. He came over and of course took responsibility and apologized and not only comped our current bill, but he threw in some extra drinks free of charge. Just to clarify there were alcohol drinks, very well made and very enjoyable. Between Chris the manager and our server, this disaster of an experience at a Ruby’s Diner became a very good experience. I did order some sweet potato fries and I can tell you that is not something I will order here again. They did not taste that great but after all the time we spent and the fact they were really nice, I took them to go and threw them out later. I know, I am sharing this here but I did not want to make them feel bad at the time. If I have time and I am near the E concourse in this airport again, I would definitely stop in to say to Chris as he is awesome but I can almost guarantee this is not a place we would eat at again. There are better choices we found but with that being said, you are in an airport so you cannot expect more then what you get.

This ticks all the boxes for airport food. It was fast. We asked when getting seated how long the food would take and they told us about 10 minutes. They took the order immediately and it was definitely out in less than 10 mins. The burger and fries were pretty good. I had the hickory burger. It was tasty and the bacon was perfect. It was filling so I wasn’t hungry on my flight home. It’s also right at the entrance to terminal E and C and you walk right by it if coming from customs. They played 50s rock n roll which was cool too. There’s also a bathroom right next to it. Overall it was a convenient stop if you want a filling, tasty burger on the run.

Speedy service! I had the skinny egg breakfast. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and FAST! I think my food arrived in less than a minute after I ordered, but it still tasted fresh and delicious. There is a reason this place is so busy, besides their great location within IAH.

Not bad for airport food. Service was friendly and the food came out quick. I’d give it 4⁄5 stars for food and service alone, but the coffee knocks it down a star for me. I get that I may be a coffee snob and that this just an airport restaurant, but I can’t get over coffee that’s probably been boiling away for a few hours and is still BLEH with a ton of sugar. But again, may be because I’m a snob. So if I could, I’d give it 3.5÷5. Not a bad choice if you’re stuck in terminal D/E of the airport.

There are better places to eat at this airport, for sure. The staff is bored, bordering on rude. They pay little attention to you or your requests. I had to ask three times, two different people, for cream for my coffee. By the time I got it, my coffee wasn’t even hot. For the food, it was okay. Definitely over priced, but it’s an airport, so what can you do? Took ages to get our check as well, and in an airport, time is important. Despite their adorable costumes, they had zero pep in their steps. Try the Cat Cora restaurant, instead. Same prices, better service, infinitely better food.
