The guy at the register with dark brown hair was SHREWD!!!(NOTTHEOWNER) He takes all the tips that are supposed to go to the only Iraqi women waitress, who was LOVELY in all sense of the word. The Briyani is good and so are the Kabobs both chicken and beef. This restaurant is Punjabis and have no characteristics like the Pashtun restaurants like Khan BBQ! For example when I go into Khan BBQ they offer me from time to time free Kheer complimentary and the service is TOPNOTCH! I feel at home and I feel like I am getting my money’s worth and also more, a warm friendly smile. The communication is poor at Chatkara and the Cashier is shrewd! I will further explain in my continued post. I want everyone to know about this… YOUR tips don’t go to the waitress!!! She will never see the credit card tip you put on your credit card receipt!!! Give her cash!!!

This place gets 3 stars because of their service, or should I say lack of service. But I have to say, their food is actually excellent. AA+++ food, F — — — — service. I wish they would clean up their act and run their restaurant properly. It’s like they don’t give a damn.

My boyfriend took me here for dinner and we were the only customers when we arrived, we noticed a lot of other customers picking up food to go. The food was authentic and so tasty! I love their chicken kebab and the chicken karahi. The only down side was they were out of beef and rice that day. No good, b/c I prefer rice over naan when eating Pakistani/Indian cuisine. The location is kind of strange, you really wouldn’t know it’s there unless you knew about the restaurant already, which is ashamed because it such a good restaurant. Give it a try if your in the area.

I’m disappointed that catering orders for small groups(20 people) that are supposed to be ready at a particular time are late. Time is of the essence during Ramadan Iftaar. The order was not ready until 45 minutes after the quoted time. The order was placed several days in advance. The beef kabobs were dry however the chicken biryani was excellent. I would not recommend them for catering after this experience.

I’m an inner looper, but I was here for a staff lunch earlier this month celebrating the Persian New Year. And, the following was prepared for us: biryani(goat or beef, I’m guessing), chana saag, chicken kebabs, and of course, naan. The most pleasing part of the meal was the ambiance. I felt as if I were in a rustic cabin in some remote part of the country and being served my favorite kind of food. That, itself, was a winner. The service was great too. I’m a picky eater, but I love Indian/Pakistani food, so I was pleased with how authentic everything smelled, tasted, and reminded me of home. Well, maybe not tasted. I found the food to be spicier than anticipated and couldn’t douse it with enough raita to make it palatable. I would, however, recommend this place for those wanting authentic Indian/Pakistani food outside the loop. I’ll only return if necessary — - it’s quite far from home.

Ordered fish platter and chicken platter, both delicious, the fish was soft and flavorful, the chicken was sheekh kabab, very tasty. Got biriyani and butter chicken as to go. Service was good. Sat outside for lunch with wifey in the beautiful fall weather.

TERRIBLE!!! It’s Saturday night and they have no beef items and no chicken thikka. Water was served without ice. The service was incredibly slow. We walked out after getting fed up of waiting.

By far one of the best kabab paratha rolls that I have ever eaten. Don’t expect any kind of fabulous customer service, because you won’t get any. And don’t bother trying any of the snack foods like samosas, pakoras, patties, etc. because they sit around for a while and lose their crispiness which makes them pretty nasty, in my opinion.

It was my second time here. I had gone here the first time and got sheesh kebab for lunch. Had difficulty finding the place. After I paid I requested the lady to bring out my take out to the car since my back does not let me sit on a low surface. She gladly obliged. Today for lunch I called in a chicken biryani and a chicken sheesh kebab. When I got there I called and the lady brought the food out. This is the best customer service I have experienced. And the food adds to the total package. This place is inexpensive and good.

So this place has moved. it used to be inside a grocery store on beechnut but now its on hwy 6 and westpark drive/tollway road. its ON hwy 6 on the feeder road. i think its a terrible location, people cannot see it from the highway. its a huge place but tucked away. The food here is incredible. The beef/chicken kabobs are so succulent and delicious! my mouth is watering writing this review. DEFINITELY a houston MUST eat place if you love kabobs. Their biryani is extremely good as well!

Great good! Prices are very reasonable. Like the atmosphere. All wooden ambience.
