This is based on the service. I have to say it’s been the worse from other times we’ve been. The food was awesome though. I do recommend the fajitas or of course the famous Chicka chicka boom boom. Everything was off today. our daughter food was cold. No silverware(until we asked), no refills until I asked and our waiter assumed we weren’t having dessert(never asked). He brought the check and then we said we actually wanted tres leches cakes. We ended up just having them to go.

Ate there today with my wife for lunch … Even though it was crowded, I was seated and brought chips and salsa right away. They came and took our orders and I wasn’t sure of what kind of sauce I wanted … so the girl brought out several dishes with different sauces to try with the food. Great Food and Service … I can’t remember the waitresses name, but it was a girl and the name began with a «M» … Marlene or something like that … plesent person, did her job.

Salsa was brought out immediately by our lovely waitress, Briana A. who gave us first class service with a smile! My soda never hit the bottom of the big cup before she brought out a fresh one — awesome job, Briana! We missed you guys at Chuy’s! We tried next door at Mamacita’s and it was a total disaster a few weeks ago! We had the Comida Deluxe and the Elvis Memorial Special and they were perfect! Hot, fresh and full of flavor. We’ll never stray far from Chuy’s again!

Terrible… paid 8.19 gor a whole head of lettuce. Glad i filled up on chips… had to ask for dressing for salad. Then asked for sour cream instead and took forever for them to bring it.

The service is good. The enchiladas are off the chain. Other than that I’d say it’s a decent Tex mex restaurant.

Stopped by Chuy’s a couple of nights ago about 30 minutes before closing for a belated birthday dinner and was surprised that the staff were still incredibly attentive and friendly. This seems to rarely happen these days. After sitting they immediately took our drink orders, I ordered a regular house margarita and was not overly impressed but what I would expect from a semi-corporate mexican restaurant. After our drink orders, we ordered our entrees which I got the usual Chicka-Chicka Boom Boom which is always pretty good. I usually try different items on the menu wherever I go but I can’t seem to try anything else. My friends also enjoyed their dishes as well. On a side note, my friend told the waiter that it was my birthday and after we finished our dinner the waitress gave me a complimentary sopapilla with honey… mmmm. So dang good. Red salsa and creamy jalapeño sauce(which you have to ask for) are both good. Service: 5⁄5 Food quality: 3.5÷5

The food was good. I had the fat daddy enchiladas. Our waiter Cyrus was awesome which made my experience even better.

With all the Mexican restaurant competition in the area, this lands in the middle of the pack for me. The soft tortillas weren’t soft, the beans were far worse than other restaurants, and the chips were stale crumbs. The worst part of our experience, however, was the service. It took a very long time for chips & salsa to arrive and for a waiter to acknowledge us. The service remained subpar until it was time to pay. Then, our waiter became Mr. Friendly. Overall, this was a disappointing experience.

First time here, omg the creamy jalapeño sauce is amazing! I tried the baja fish tacos. You get two, and I couldn’t decide between grilled or fried so I got one of each. Personally I liked the grilled better. Service was great! I will definitely be back again

I’ll be honest, I mainly come here for their chips and dip which is the bomb dot com! Secondly, I love their Chica Chica Boom Boom enchiladas. I’m usually not one to go to a restaurant that has a wait everytime… BUT Chuys is worth it. Service and staff are attentive with fun attitude :)

Oh have the mighty have fallen. This place used to be kinda hip and cool. Now it’s turned into a bloated, bland chain restaurant with lack of personality. Let’s start with the chips: Stale, refried chips from the day before? You bet. Drinks I ordered a top-shelf margarita with Avion and Grand Marnier. I got a lime flavored drink with very little tequila and liquor. Main course: I ordered the beef hatch«rubbed» tacos. Very little hatch flavor but the beef was well cooked. Bland hatch rice and heat-lamp treated beans. My wife ordered the chalupa-sized beef nachos. They were lacking in the beef department and not much more to say about them. Final Verdict: As I’m returning from my third round of sitting on the toilet I’m reminded of a little saying; «you get what you paid for. » Well if what you want is generic, bland Tex-Mex food that’ll give you digestive issues this is your place. Chuy’s has gone suburban Hell.

This is my favorite Chuy’s. I believe that it is better than the original one in Austin. Great food, drinks, and creamy jalapeño. We are usually go at least once per week for the last two or three years. Always a hit never a miss.

First, the greeter lost us on the reservation list. When I saw someone that came in 10 minutes after and had the same number of people, I asked what’s going on. She quietly tried to apologize and the other greeter who lost the sheet never acknowledge her mistake. It was my kid’s elementary school’s fundraiser and we had other kids, so I kept my cool. It took along time for our waitress and she apologized that they were short-staffed. She took our drinks and queso dip order for an appetizer. First thing out to our table was the dip! No drinks, chips, salsa, and their awesome creamy Jalepeno dip! Now. I was getting upset. It took at least 5 minutes for the drinks, chips, salsa, and creamy Jalepeno to arrive. I think our waitress knew I was getting upset and explained all that was going on that night. It was a completely full restaurant and I watched other wait staff cleaning tables, so I cooled down… it was not her fault and she was doing her best under the circumstances. The rest of the night was ok and we got our ticket and payment ready. She was quick to get our payment though? I have been to the former Richmond location, Westheimer almost every week, Conroe, College Station, and Austin. I love Chuy’s!!! The 290/Hwy 6 location has always had lines, but I see why in the slowness to get drinks and food out timely. I hope an Executive or this locations Manager can read and make corrections. We love coming here since we live very close to this location, but the service needs to improve for us to come more frequently!!!

On Wed they have a stuffed avocado that is to die for. I knocked off a star because they dont have it on their regular menu. I usually have a craving for it on Thursday. They also have an amazing jalapeño ranch sauce. It’s great with chips. But then smother your stuffed avocado with it, and it is like the heavens opened up in your mouth. It’s that good. Oh, and service is great.

Family friendly Tex-Mex restaurant with decent food. Great salsa(coming from a guy that’s not into salsa). Good chips. Good queso. Be prepared to wait for at least 20 minutes if you go during the busy times

Great empanadas, great drinks, and a cute/sweet(male) server. From when we sat down to the fresh salsa and jalapeño sauce for the chips. Everyones food was great! I personally had the Wednesday Avocado enchiladas and it was amazing! One of my favorite places to eat during my visit to Houston!

Great service, great food, great staff, clean restrooms, tons of seating and parking. We had hatch enchiladas and crunchy tacos. Of course we started with queso. Can’t go wrong with Chuys. Even better experience in non-peak hours.

I was in the mood for enchiladas & not knowing the area very well, I went for a drive. Though I would normally look for a mom & pop joint, again, I did not know the area and got no help from co-workers. Thus, I ended up here. Having heard good things about Chuy’s & seeing a big line, I figured it was worth a try. It was. I found a nice table in the bar… always a solid move when you are solo and there’s a line. First off, my server, Kelsey brought me something called Creamy Jalapeño sauce with my chips. It is amazing & worth the trip(and even checking your inner snob about not eating at chains). It carries a slight punch under an a ranch base. My frozen margarita($ 5.95) was tasty & well-balanced. it was just tart enough that the salt on the rim gave it the needed punch. For my entrée, I ordered the Southwest enchiladas($ 9.49). I personally love blue corn tortillas and the stacked enchilada concept. These were stuffed with pulled chicken & topped with a sunny side up egg. The sauce had a good, spicy kick from the Hatch green chilies while the refried beans and rice complemented this combination nicely. Two adjoining tables ordered the fajitas, and the portions appeared to be enormous. It is something that I would consider ordering on a return visit, which will happen for sure. Now, I really have to complement the restaurant on the sunny side up egg… This is one of the hardest things to cook in a restaurant, and in a Mexican restaurant serving dinner they got it perfect. That alone gets them four stars. The service was attentive but not overbearing… And I must complement the restaurant on this: they hire real girls of all shapes and sizes and servers at Chuy’s. This earns respect points. My bill before tip for two margaritas and an entrée totaled less than $ 24… I find this a very good value as well as top-notch food that exceeds most chain Mexican restaurants.
