You know I have to say, for a dollar store this one is my go to. They have everything you need and yes, everything is indeed a dollar; no surprises and no upping to $ 1.09. They have a little bit of kitchen, gift wrapping, and tools needed. The cashiers are always friendly for the most part. And they are open until 9pm most days. It’s on the smaller side compared to Giant Dollar down the street but I still prefer it.

I’ve never been to a Dollar Store before. I know… many of you must think that’s unusual, but I grew up ITL and I don’t remember there ever being one around. I also equate Dollar store with cheap junk. Well, I was looking for something cheap for my classroom today and wasn’t sure where I could find a cheap toy. I teach high school and don’t have children, so the whole toy thing escapes me. Target is way too expensive for something that students might destroy. We headed to the closest Dollar Store. Dollar Tree is a large well lit roomy dollar store. The aisles are set up like any other store with clearly marked rows to designate what you’ll find where. The employees were constantly cleaning up and tidying the items hanging on the walls. Overall, it wasn’t what I expected. I expected chaos and scary dirty conditions and instead I found a place that was organized albeit full of junk. I ended up purchasing one item for… wait for it… $ 1! No false advertising here! I doubt I’ll be back again soon as the stuff in there makes me think it might have lead in the paint or some toxic plastic. It’s my own personal prejudice, but if you are looking for a decent organized dollar store, this is it.
