Like most things in life you get what you pay for. It is not cheap but everything was very well done. It was not mind blowing. But very tasty and I do not think you could cook it and better. Yes I will go again.

We held an executive level corporate event here for a private dinner for ~50 with a guest speaker. The event manager here is very kind and helpful. We brought in our own audio visual teams and they have a separate entrance for that purpose. It was like we were in our own world, we weren’t exposed to rest of the restaurant and they used a private entrance from the kitchen to bring in the food. I always worry that when I have very large groups, one half of the room will have food and others will not. But that was not the case with Eddie V’s. Everyone at a table was able to eat at the same time. The food and service was excellent and they were able to handle changes on the fly. Thank you.

First off — great staff and service. The employees did not try to «hustle» you like some restaurants do to the point where it’s uncomfortable. The steaks were all tender and enough seasoning where steak sauce was not needed. The sea bass was very well seasoned. The sides were average however.

Disclaimer: The two star rating is due to Racial Profiling So I decided to come here for happy hour. I wasn’t dressed raggedy(not that it should matter, but eh), hair and make up also done. But the one thing that was different than from me and everyone else in the V lounge is that I was a woman of color. Any-who I sit at the bar and waiting to be greeted. One of the lady bartenders said a quick hi and dropped off a menu and never returned. For the next five minutes I tried flagging someone down to take my order, both lady bartenders ignored me and spoke to the other patrons. There was also a male bartender behind the bar but he was just there to make the waiters drinks. I flagged him down out of desperation and practically begged him to PLEASE take my order. He was kind and made my drink, came back to check on me. Brought me bread and the other menu I asked for, came back and took my food order. Remember Y’all: This is not his job! It wasn’t till after I had received my bread, was half way through my food and down my first drink that the original lady came to ask me if I wanted another drink. She made my drink(It was horrible) and then never came back to me. Now mind you I have watched 4 people on either side of me get greeted my the lady bartenders. With the greeting«Hi my name is ___and her name is ___and we will be taking care you of tonight» I didn’t get that, I guess I couldn’t be taken care of. I watched how kind they were to the others. And It kind of hurt. I flagged the guy down and asked him what his position was for the night to which he told me was to take care of the wait staff drinks. Which was true, because he didn’t take anyone’s order at the bar but mine. I told him he was really kind and that I appreciated him for that because he didn’t have to. I did not ask for a manager I didn’t get loud, in fact I didn’t say anything. I asked for my check and left him a hefty tip, that could have been for the lady bartenders had they not judged me by the color of my skin. I am also a server so i know what they were thinking. I just hope it doesn’t happen to someone else. The feeling is not a good one. I’ll stick to the Kirby Location where the only color that matters is: Green!

I’ve been to Eddie v’s before and have always had a enjoyable experience. We decided to go last night for New Years Eve are reservations were at 10 but we didn’t get are food till nearly 11:30. My boyfriend ordered a filet«medium» and it came out well done– I ordered the salmon and was aware that it came out medium but it was served almost raw in the middle and was nearly inedible except for the corners.

Family went here on Christmas Eve and were fortunate to get Lamarion as our waiter. He was so personable and helpful and made our evening special. The calamari was very good, not over cooked and beautifully presented. We had the red fish, scallops and the sole dinners and shared crab fried rice and roasted Brussel sprouts. Everything was delicious. The BLT salad(wedge) was also good. A nice wine selection and well made Bloody Marys were an added bonus as were the crème brûlée and chocolate lava cake. We will definitely go here again.

Eddie Vs, you did not disappoint. With twins under 2 we hadn’t been on a romantic date in ages. We were celebrating a lot — our first night out in years, an upcoming new job and a belated anniversary celebration. Eddie Vs exceeded our expectations. The service was wonderful, the atmosphere was romantic and cozy and the food was delish. The great: — lobster tacos. We could have made this out main meal, it was so outstanding. — the calamari app. It was crunchy and yummy but beware. It is a large portion for two. — the other booth overlooking the restaurant with rose petals on the table and mood lighting. — the free chocolate lava cake thingy with Happy Anniversary written on top. Could not fit one more thing in our bellies so we had to leave you half eaten. Sob. Wished you were in a To-go box once I lay in bed. The good: — our scallop meals were delish, don’t get me wrong. Flavors and textures were delightful. But the scallops were a tad overcooked. Didn’t care though as I was enjoying myself too much. Thank you Eddie Vs for a truly memorable night and meal. We will be back as soon as we lose a few pounds.

Looking around for a GOOD seafood restaurant, we decided to go to Eddie V. It was busy; we got a cocktail table which was fine. Great atmosphere inside with live music. Very friendly people too ! We started with a Margarita(11 dollar) and an orange mojito(12 dollar). Very good and strong :) I love scallops and these ones had still the taste from the sea. The grapefruit was not necessary(for me). My husband had the swordfish(delicious) and we asked for mashed potatoes(7 dollar, which were not on the menu). We ordered a Budweiser bottle(4.50 dollar) and ended with a cappuccino(4 dollar) and a crème brulee. We had a wonderful night. Be aware that it’s hard to find a place in a non-valet parking. Nevertheless, it seems that Eddie V will validate the ticket if you choose a valet one. Sorry for the minimum of pictures, but it was too dark and crowded inside to do this.

My sister brought me here for drinks and dessert for my birthday and just so happened it was happy hour so that made it even better! The Banana Foster and Lemon Drop Martini are amazing! Not many people can make a lemon drop with the right amount of vodka without being overbearing.

You can’t leave here without someone ordering each of the following: Of course, bread is free, but you have to eat! Best bread in town. Seafood tower — a must Truffled mac — a must Banana fosters — ending meal must The lemon drop martini is always on my list. So tasty, but potent. so be careful. Dine in the V lounge for the ultimate experience.

Had the most amazing experience at Eddie V’s this past weekend. We went for my boyfriend’s birthday, and I booked the reservation online. We booked with a special through Hotel Sorella in City Centre and received a $ 100 giftcard. After our meal, we had about $ 40 to pay, which I thought was a fantastic deal. Upon arriving, the staff greeted him and made sure to address his birthday. The food was absolutely incredible and isn’t overly expensive. We ordered 2 glasses of wine, truffle mac n cheese(THEBEST), spinach, and the lobster tacos. If you haven’t already tried their lobster tacos, seriously do yourself a favor and DOIT! They were fantastic and well worth the $ 20. For our on trays, we each ordered a steak and were completely satisfied and very full by the end of our meal. Our server, Trisha, was fantastic, kind, and very prompt. The bread was delicious as well! When we were too full for dessert, Trisha still brought us a complementary crème brule with one of the best cookies I’ve had. I will definitely be back!

Seafood heaven! Where do I start? Eddie V’s in City Center is one of my all time fave restaurants! The crab cakes are deliciously plump & made with real & fresh crab meat. The crab fried rice is to die for!!! It’s a must have. Believe me, I have it several times a month. Lol This place is great for happy hour but the bar area gets crowded quickly. You should make reservations to guarantee a seat to hear the live band. The ambiance is wonderful. It’s great for date night, happy hour, girls’ night out or a birthday dinner. My friends and I really love this place. Not really too fond of the Kirby location(prices are higher & doesn’t have the same vibe).

We celebrated double birthdays, a retirement, and a new job today and Eddie V’s did a great job making sure we had a pleasant evening. We had a 6:30 reservation and they were ready for us as soon as we arrived. We were seated at a circular booth which was perfect for 6 people. Plenty of space and the circular booth was conducive for group conversation. I love fresh bread and I really enjoyed the bread and butter they serve here. Carbs… YUM! We started with the calamari and crab cakes. The calamari was spicy/sweet and crunchy/saucy. Crab cakes did not skimp on the fresh crab. I recommend both. For my main dish, I ordered the daily special which was a roasted sea bass with lump crab and butter sauce. It was perfectly flakey, not dry, and the butter sauce was also delicious with bread. For sides we ordered brussels sprouts and crab fried rice. Both were pretty average. Because we were celebrating two birthdays, the restaurant graciously treated us to two desserts — the flaming banana foster cake and the godiva molten chocolate cake. There was a fun flaming act that goes along with the banana foster cake. Both desserts were super rich and everything you want when you’re splurging on calories. I couldn’t choose a favorite because they were both different but really well done. Our server was personable, but not overly friendly nor intrusive. She was attentive to the table and made sure we had a nice evening. Valet was free after validation. Perfect for a day like today where the rain wouldn’t stop.

Here’s my thing with Eddie V’s — based on what I am paying, the ambiance, and overall experience I expect a certain level of quality. Thankfully, most of our 6-top received quality dishes. However, I wouldn’t say our food is worthy of 4 or 5 stars because frankly, it didn’t deliver up to that expectation. I know what you’re thinking — «Tony, you’ve reviewed $ 10/entrée restaurants as 5 stars. How could you give a high quality place like EV’s only 3?» Here’s why: I ordered the red grouper which sat on a bed of asparagus and topped with blue crab. First, the fish was very lightly seasoned and made for an underwhelming flavor. Next, my blue crab still had pieces of shell within it. Normally I would not say it is a big deal, but on a $ 40 entrée I expect a higher level of quality. My asparagus was overcooked as well so here is my case and point for 3 stars. Our table also ordered a side of DELICIOUS au gratin potatoes and black truffle Mac n cheese. These were the two highlights of the meal. Seriously, come here and order the black truffle mac n cheese along with a bulleit and ginger ale and your review will probably be 4 or 5 stars. In my opinion, the back of house needs to step it up. I’m coming here for freshness and flavor not a safety entrée. Front of house did an average job as well. Service could use a lift and the hostesses could be a lot less… bitchy(yea I said it) Sorry I’m not sorry.

This location is located next to Houston Texans Grille. This restaurant has a classy ambiance but dark! They have live jazz music too, which is a plus. THISIS A HAPPYHOURREVIEW. My recent trip here was a HH with a girl friend of mine. HH is everyday 4 – 7PM, with HH all Sundays and Mondays! It’s a seat yourself kind of deal. Some tables are reserved so look for that. The design of this lounge seems like I am at an airport somewhere. Our waitress was out of sight for about 5 minutes, but it didn’t stop other waiters coming by and assisting us. For food, we decided to get Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, Pacific Ahi Tuna Tartare, and Point Judith Calamari appetizers. Jumbo Lump Crab Cake(4⁄5): Sautéed Maryland Style with Spicy Chive Remoulade. I didn’t enjoy this much as I thought I would, for one of my friends told me to try this because«it’s to die for!»… My expectation was too high. Taste wise 3÷5… But was the biggest crab cake I’ve seen though, about the size of one’s palm. It is filled with pure lump crab meat! The breading was light with a nice texture. Pacific Ahi Tuna Tartare(3⁄5): Curry and Sesame oils, Avocado, Mango, and Citrus. This was definitely refreshing. I actually liked the citrus/grapefruit and avocados with the tuna alone. Fresh fruit and tuna! They serve you 3 sesame chips with it. I think the tuna alone had more of the sesame oil flavor. Point Judith Calamari(4⁄5): Kung Pao style with Roasted Cashews and Crisp Noodles. ORDERTHIS. Gigantic portion. We ordered this after we saw a waiter taking it to the table behind us. There is a nice sweet and mildly spicy Asian twist. There is Sriracha incorporated into the dish, according to the waiter. I loved the vegetables and cashews with the sauce. Sometimes, I would eat them alone without the calamari. I wasn’t too big about the noodles… Just remember it’s thin and crispy. We cleaned this plate though! For drinks, we ordered the Lemon Drop, Green Apple, Bacardi Mojito, and Indaba Chardonnay. I would recommend the Lemon Drop without the sugared rim all around. It sneaks up on you because it is so good. I didn’t finish my Green Apple. Wasn’t too eager about it. My friend seemed to enjoy her drinks… I do remember her saying the Mojito was strong! :) I would recommend their HH at V Lounge and dining in general. I’d come back and sit at the bar though next time for HH. :)
