The prices here are definitely not $. One normal sized taco is $ 3.99, which is $ 1.99 anywhere else. Despite the meals being more expensive($ 12.99 for 2 tacos, rice, and beans), the rice and beans portion sizes are so tiny! The food is not bad tasting, it’s just not so good or so much that the price is justified. You can get the same taste and quantity elsewhere for 60% of the price.

This place is awesome. Tonight is my fifth time to dine here and it has NEVER disappointed. The fish tacos are delicious and the Carne Asada nachos are amazing. I love coming here for dinner. Try the George’s bowl if your on a diet like me, grilled fish and shrimp with black beans and easy on the rice.

I eat here about 4 times a week. They use family recipes so everything has a unique taste you can’t find anywhere in the area or anywhere in Houston I would say. Everything on the menu is delicious. My favorites are the shrimp and fish ceviche, the grilled shrimp tacos and the fried shrimp tacos. The salsa is amazing! The staff is great too! Love this place!!!

This is a family owed business with great service even considering that you order at the counter. The staff is always inviting, the food is fresh and reasonably priced. Good tortilla chips and salsa bar. They are open late and the restaurant is clean with plenty of seating. I’m glad that this place is in my hood.

Came for the fish tacos. Left 100% satisfied! The fried batter was so golden and crunchy and fish was hot and flaky. My stomach is growling just thinking about it now! We also got the carne asada nacho fries that everyone else talked about in the reviews. And we were not disappointed! two thumbs up georgees!!!

I’m so happy that I found this place! I love fish tacos and I needed a new place to get my fix. The place is small and it’s not what you would expect. But the food is great. Unfortunately it is a bit pricey. That’s the only reason I didn’t leave them five star.

Literally just left this place. I was so satisfied that I needed to get on here and leave a review. Food was delicious! My husband and I tried the Carne Asada Fries which were spectacular. Also, we both had a combo plate with fish tacos and enchiladas lets just say we took half home because the portion sizes are very generous. Everything was very fresh and served hot. Service was great! We went in during a lunch rush and they seemed to manage well with all the people at the same time. Ultimately, we will be going back!

Blind date syndrome. That’s my experience here. You know. Your friends try to hook you up with a person and they say all that nice stuff you want to hear. They describe that other person as if they are so beautiful. They even show you some nice photos to entice you to go make that date. You get all prepared and ready for that date and it seems the closer you get to the focus of the individual… the more you start seeing that your friends … uh… suck. Oh come on fellow Unilocalers. What is up with all the stars about this place? I get it, I get it, it’s family ran so you’re proud of that. The owner is nice and you’re proud of that. It’s clean and you’re proud of that. But 4.5 stars! Really? Uh… where at? I felt so mislead when I pulled up to this place. The very first thing I saw was a big counter. Uh… that’s important to mention. This place is counter service only. You can see that from your car. If it had not been for me meeting some friends there, who also never tried it, I wouldn’t have gone in. I went on a Thursday night right after driving a long ways from work and hadn’t eaten in over 24 hours. Do I want to stand at a counter and look at a strange menu to place an order for what looked like another thing people failed to mention, that it’s mostly… tacos? No I don’t. Sigh. So at that point I said I need a drink. Argh. all limited to exactly what they have on the menu. Asking for even a large lime(standard Texas rita) margarita was too much to ask as they only serve it in small regular glasses when they actually have larger real margarita glasses that are reserved for pina coladas. Sigh.(Damn Blind Dates.) Okay fine, so I order a Mexican coke instead. Served to me directly in a bottle and brought to me in that bottle with no glass… no ice.(Damn Blind Dates.) So I sit down with my friends to look over a menu instead of holding up the line, figure out what I was forced to want because I didn’t want a taco and they wouldn’t modify anything to make me a meal and the limited plates they had didn’t have the combination that I preferred and went back up to an empty counter as not a soul was behind it to take my order. I waited like 10 minutes as several workers, who were busy, just finished what they were doing before even telling me, one moment. WARNING. One of the plates on the menu have what’s listed as «White Cilantro Rice.» I was like«what is white cilantro, please don’t put that on my plate» she was like«it’s white rice» and I was like«you guys should totally change the wording of that.»(Damn Blind Dates.) Okay now all that may sound petty. And it kinda is. So let’s get to the food. I ordered the Shrimp/Fish Basket that came with 1 piece of fish and 5 shrimp at 7.99. I expected popcorn shrimp and a fish strip. I was actually shocked to see that it looked delicious. You could taste the freshness of the butterflied slightly seasoned shrimp and the very nice sized lightly seasoned flaky fish. I actually liked it. Worth that 7.99.(As far as blind dates, it’s like saying the face is jacked up but she has a nice body.) With that said. I probably would not go back for another visit. I say that because this place is a good lunch place. Not dinner. And I can’t make it for lunch. I don’t recommend it for dinner. at all. It would be a great spot if it was downtown. As far as a spot for drinks. Not. The ritas are nothing but frozen koolaid. If you happen in for lunch. get a bottled bear. And don’t forget, the more you drink… the better she looks. Date and Prosper!

Liked their baja fish and baja shrimp tacos. nom nom nom c: they make them to a perfect crisp and the cabbage adds extra texture. Couldn’t stand their nacho fries that the waiter/cashier suggested. The fries were so soggy and mushy. It didnt have much meat nor flavor. Only tasted the beans. It wasn’t that great. Love how we can get as much salsa and pico de gallo as we please because I go through those like water :) Will be coming back to get their nachos. or at least their chips. Yummy fried chips! lolll! Only thing I didn’t like was you get smacked with the aroma of fried food when you open the door. so hold your breath~!

Wow! I’ve been looking for a great taco place for a long time and I’ve tried many taco establishments and some taco trucks on the side of the road, but this establishment has some of the greatest tacos I’ve ever had! The greatest thing is. it’s only 5 mins. from my house! This is another example how Unilocal can really help you to find some great places near you even when you least expect it. I’ve never heard anyone talk about it, but guess what? They have better tasting/flavorful tacos than places that people actually rave about! The first time I came, the girl behind the counter wasn’t very friendly and not very helpful, but I came again because I wanted to take my mom and brother and there was another girl and she was the complete opposite. My experience was even better because she was so helpful and so nice, super sweet and friendly. BAJAFISHTACO– beer batter This is one of the best fish tacos I’ve had. It’s so light and flavorful! The fish was seasoned nicely, but not over the top with flavor. The great part was that the cabbage slaw tasted amazing and added flavor to the fish and the acidity from the pico de gallo was divine. GEORGEE’S STYLESHRIMPTACO– sauteed with garlic butter This is one of their most popular shrimp tacos, but it was too cheesy for me. The shrimp was lightly flavored and perfectly cooked. I did like the flavor of garlic butter with my shrimp. TEXASSHRIMPTACO– grilled with bacon, onions, and cheese This shrimp taco was the best! I love the flavor of the bacon with the shrimp and the onions. Everything tasted so good together and one bite just led me to another and to another until I was finished with it. CARNEASADETACO– grilled steak The beef was a bit chewy, but packed with flavor. This taco had a nice acidity from the pico de gallo and the lime-y flavor. It was really yummy! This is definitely my go-to place for tacos now. 4.5 stars because I absolutely love the full punch-in-the-face flavors. Thank you Unilocal for allowing me to come by this place. I owe you big time!

We’ve been here twice and it’s great! My family is from California, the Mexican food is so good there but since moving to Texas we’ve not found very many places we enjoy but this place is so good it reminds me of home. The first time we were there I ordered beef tacos and they were awesome but the second time I decided to try and see if they would make me a typical Cali burrito and they were more than willing to make a special order and omg it was so good. The gal taking the orders is the owners daughter, she’s super friendly and fun to talk to which always makes going to a restaurant you want to frequent more fun, we will for sure be back over and over!

Awesome food we came for lunch and the portions were perfect! The place was quiet but very good food! I had the nachos on chips you can order on French fries too but I added the Carne asada and they were very flavorful but the only complain I had was I wish they had more cheese on the nachos but it was still wonderful! And we also had the beer battered fish taco and the meat taco and they were refreshingly delicious and everything tasted very fresh! We will be back!

I can see why the fish & shrimp tacos are so popular here… During my visit, I probably ordered the wrong tacos! I came in for lunch with two other friends; the place was pretty empty so we didn’t enjoy ourselves as much. It has a seafood restaurant vibe to it, cute but it still would look better upgraded. The service was okay, it’s nothing remarkable really. They have an AWESOME salsa bar, and one of the sauces there was so good!!! I liked the complimentary chips they gave out as well. I ordered the two taco combo(grilled chicken + beef with cilantro rice & black beans) while my friends ordered fish and shrimp tacos along with Mexican rice and refried beans. I didn’t get to taste anything off their plates & vice versa, but neither of us could tell if the food was good or if we were just super hungry. The rice was great, but I wasn’t a big fan of either of my tacos. It’s a regular taco portion but the meats just didn’t sit well in my stomach. I would love to come back again for that sauce and to give it another go, but for now I stand still with three stars for Georgee’s…

Georgee’s is in a little center where a few businesses have not lasted very long. I’m hoping this one is to stay! The establishment is spacious, well ventilated and the people are very friendly. There is some décor that matches the Baja theme and then some random stuff that has you wonder«How does this go together?» Lol. It’s not a bad thing, just keeps you visually busy. There are tvs in there and they’ll usually have the game on for you. The food is good, they have several styles of fish that you can pick from. They also serve chicken and steak, not just shrimp and fish tacos/burritos. What’s offered are combos which are taco/enchilada/burrito combinations. Platters consist of fish, shrimp, enchiladas, or seafood mix with rice and beans, have soups, salads, fryer food and ceviche, or items a la carte. They have this awesome salsa bar! It doesn’t look like much, but i find myself getting everything from it when I come. They have grilled onions, pickled onions, standard ol’ limes, cilantro, pico and a few salsas. There is this one light green salsa that is SOOOOOOGOOD! It’s spicier than the other two even though it «looks» like a more relax sauce. NOT! Georgee’s serve beer! I love this place and I’m so glad it’s one of the things near my house, because there ain’t much around here.

First, the customer was impeccable. The staff was incredibly friendly. Secondly, they’re nacho fries were amazing. An abundance of liquid queso, huge amounts of carne asada. Very well made. They also had a sort of Mediterranean yogurt topping that really made their fish tacos unique and craving for more.

Nacho french fries with carne asada is huge and delicious. We got it to share among the 4 of us and my husband ate it so fast, we could hardly get some. I was also a little embarrassed that he ate from the basket instead of putting it on his plate. The man in the front was helpful with what popular tacos to order. I got the blackened fish(which had the texture of chicken– almost) and garlic and butter shrimp. I liked the shrimp better. If you get corn tortillas, they don’t double shell it and it will fall apart.

There fish tacos are as good as the ones I had in Cali! Except you get a choice of how the seafood is prepared — blackened, baja(fried), or Hawaiin. This restaurant is the healthiest & tastiest alternative in the Bear Creek area! George & his staff always provide friendly service.

This establishment looked fairly new because I noticed the cleanliness of this place. Walking in, we were greeted by a young lady at the register. We ordered: Mexican soda, Iced tea, Nacho fries with carne asada, 2 Taco combo, and Chicken salad. Nacho fries with carne asada(5⁄5): These fries were amazing! A MUST try at Georgees! The fries are topped with cheese, guacamole, sour cream, onions! You can add more onions, cilantro, and pico de gallo to the fries by going to the salsa bar. 2 taco combo: I won’t comment because I only sampled a small bite of my friends taco. Chicken salad(bowl): Served with fresh grilled chicken, rice, beans, lettuce, guacamole. I added the hot green sauce from the salsa bar to the salad. The salad was fresh and definitely was a heathy option. Adding pico de gallo to the salad gave it a lot of flavor. The salsa bar was clean and the ingredients were super fresh! I was impressed by the salsa bar because most places don’t know how to keep it clean! This might be random but the restroom was really clean! I can’t stand places that don’t keep their restrooms clean for their patrons. Georgees, you have impressed me with your food, service, and clean restrooms! My friend found a groupon deal for this establishment. I have to say the groupon deal was worth the money! We saved a good $ 7 – 8 bucks. Overall, I will return for more of their fries and other items on the menu!
