So the day before my family left for our first big vacation I realized I had booked a hotel for the wrong airport and quickly came back here to cancel that reservation and make a new one. We needed 2 rooms for 1 night and I was trying to keep the price as low as possible. And there was my biggest mistake. I quickly looked over price and airport shuttle availability and booked the cheapest hotel. The shuttle never came, we ended up getting a taxi after taking the wrong shuttle to the wrong hotel.(I think that was a higher power trying to tell us something!) Once inside the office we started to worry. Opening the door to our rooms we were hit with a thick smell of smoke and mold and stale air. Despite the sketchy area we kept the doors open for awhile to air it out. Everything is dirty. I don’t think anything has ever been cleaned. None of the outlets work. There is evidence of the door being kicked in. Even the walls are filthy. There are cigarette burns on the sheets. The microwave doesn’t work and there is a cockroach living in the fridge. I sent my husband out in search of a vending machine because I was not about to go out after dark. It was old and broken but he got to witness two very unhappy customers yelling at the clerk because how could you know how horrible the rooms are and there are no refunds. Btw, Best Western across from this place was very nice and we got free cold bottles of water. You could say you get what you pay for, but I’ve spent about the same price for a hotel before that was much better than this place. If I could do it over again I would have paid twice the price for pretty much anywhere else.

If you are a drug dealer, prostitute or pimp. THIS is the place for you! If you like the smell of urine in your room or even in the hallways outside HERE is where you should stay. If you like hearing people that LIVE in this place screaming in the lobby, or people approaching you for money in the lobby you will love this place. Non Smoking rooms? You bet, but there is no guarantee they don’t smell like smoke The front desk man also runs a hotel shuttle service so when you get there after a long flight, you may have to wait about 15 to 20 minutes for him to get back. Also don’t expect to find a parking place. There aren’t enough for the amount of people that LIVE there, considering there are probably 3 – 4 people LIVING in a room you’re lucky if you find a parking spot No telephone, no remote for the TV. The continental breakfast is dry cereal with milk and coffee or orange juice. But thats OK there is a Denny’s VERY close by. The only good thing I can say about this place is that the free wi-fi works. iI wish I could give this place a MINUS5 rating.

I used their airport parking service and didn’t actually stay there. It’s one of the cheapest options and since I was just going to leave my car there, I didn’t see any issue. I booked through . Online it said that it may take 15 – 20 minutes when you arrive back to Hobby for their shuttle to come get you and take you back to your car. Knowing this(and being on a tight schedule), I called them when I got off the plane, referencing the email and time, and asking that they put me in the pickup queue so I could be taken to my car once I arrived at the passenger pickup area. They told me they wouldn’t dispatch anyone until I was actually outside waiting to be picked up.(Which I realize is understandable because of the varying length of time it takes for Baggage Claim to bring luggage). Despite their instructions, I called them when I arrived at baggage claim(I wasn’t outside yet) and waited ~10 minutes for my bags. 20 minutes after receiving my bags(30 min since the initial call) they still weren’t outside so I called again to make sure I hadn’t accidentally missed them. They told me they had already sent someone and that the person hadn’t yet made it to the airport(despite the fact that the motel is only 1.1 miles from Hobby and there were no accidents that day) but said the person couldn’t/wouldn’t call me when they had arrived. 15 minutes later(45 minutes after I called them) they arrived and took me to the motel where my car was parked. This was so significantly different in timing than the website had agreed to that I would have paid more to be able to access my car within a reasonable time frame. Having seen other parking services’ busses make three and four rounds in a time period when this motel couldn’t even make one was very frustrating, especially given that I had a time crunch. When I was dropped at my car, the driver didn’t have change for me to give him a tip and asked me to follow him in my car back to the hotel(he dropped me by my car which was a decent distance from the motel lobby) to get change so I could tip him. In general I wouldn’t have seen this as an unreasonable request, but given that I had had to wait so long and that at this point I was tipping out of obligation instead of gratitude for the service, it felt like an unnecessary inconvenience. Unless they had more than one van or some regularity in making airport rounds, I would not use this parking service again.

The worst place EVER!!! I’m surprised it’s still open!!! It will never pass a hygiene, and safety inspection! I asked for a non-smoking room, and got an uncleaned dirty room with cigarette ashes on carpet. Also found hair in pillow covers. DISGUSTING!!! Asked to be relocated and got me another filthy room. Had no choice since it was almost midnight! Avoid going here!!! Not even worthy of a half star!

Although the people at the front desk were nice, the room itself was questionable. You get what you paid for for sure. I would say nix this place and pay a little more for a better, safer stay. GHETTO is the only way I can describe it. The room is heavily outdated, the door to my bathroom could close but once I opened it, a hole was in the wall. The carpets were gross with stains and it smelled like funk. I could hear everything outside and every alarm that went off in the night made me think it was my car going off so I jumped out of bed. The free breakfast was a joke. It goes from 6−9am so I stroll in at around 6:45. 2 pieces of bread, cereal, and a little bit of waffle mix was left. It was messy and barely anything there. Ironically, my key wasn’t working, which happens a lot, so I went back to the front desk. I also asked if anymore food, new food, was going to be put out. She said, that was everything! So sad. Originally, I requested a room with a king bed, but I guess they didn’t have any available. The one they thought was a king bed turned out to be two doubles. Oh well. My first time in TX and its looking pretty gloomy for a first impression. I hope the rest of my vacation is a better determining factor for what Houston is all about. Definitely don’t stay in any areas close to the airport. Ghetto seems to encompass it too. Unless its a brand name hotel, then by all means… Good luck.
