I went by this salon to have a bad haircut fixed. They made it somewhat better but did not give me what I asked for. I have long layers and like for my layers to be blended… Giving my hair a soft, flowy look. I came out just as chopped up as I went in. The lady kept telling me I needed to style my hair. I never had to style it before and it looked great with just a blow dryer and brush! The issue is she doesn’t know how to properly cut long, soft layered hair. She should have point cut all my top layers including my bangs. But, she argued that I just needed to style my hair. AND!!! I was charged $ 140 for my hair to be cut. I am extremely unhappy with the price, my hair, and the knowledge of the stylist. My hair looked good when I left because she spent a long time sectioning and styling my hair. I am a busy, full time working mom. I need my easy hair back.

Coming from guy this place is awesome !! The environment is professional and very pleasing. They have a good variety of drinks and the receptionist is AMAZING. Professional and she makes sure you are taken care of. I highly recommend dessange salon to anyone who’s on the area.

I go see Hannah to get my eyebrows done and she always does a good job. However, the atmosphere is very pretentious and unfriendly so I don’t always enjoy going there. The receptionist is not friendly and no one greets you when you walk in. I’ll be back until I find a new salon to go to.

Ever since I moved to Houston I have been looking for a hair stylist and my search might be over. I got a referral to have my hair done with Tino. Tino was super sweet, meticulous, thorough, and was extremely professional. I totally believe this salon truly believes in getting it done right the first time. I was a little concern if this salon initially because it only seem to cater to blonds because in all of their marketing adds and pictures consisted of blonds. This is not the case at all. Tino did a wonderful on my semi permanent color I have really dark brown hair(could you tell) and styled my hair beautifully for my face and lifestyle. I will definitely be going back for a second hair cut. They do take credit cards but you can only tip your shampoo person and stylist with cash or check. This was my very first salon where their was a cash machine out back for this very reason. I thought that was pretty funny!

I have been going there for many years and I have always been very pleased with the result. It is a little pricey but they specialized in giving you a haircut that fits your face. Several hairdressers at the salon are french. Great customer service and they don’t mind taking whatever time is needed for a great result. The products they use are of great quality. I had a semi color done and was very pleased with the organic products that were used.

Good haircut, pricy. Got my hair cut and highlighted. Took 4 hours. Did a good job though, not pushy on products.

So this is an update to my previous review, which was not a very good experience. I was contacted by Jaclyn, the new esthetician, about my review and experience at Jacques Dessange. She notified me that the person I dealt with is no longer employed there and offered me a free facial if I would come back and give them another try. I was floored! I’ve never had someone contact me and offer to win me back after a bad review lol. I think this speaks volumes about the kind of person Jaclyn is(she didn’t even work there when I went in the first time!, but is still going out of her way to remedy the situation), and also about the spa’s concern about their reputation. She wanted me to come in and see what a good facial feels like, and from the moment I walked in I could tell that she truly cared about my skin concerns and goals. We talked about what kind of products I used, my normal routine, what my skin concerns were. And then she analyzed my skin under a couple fancy tools to see what was going on. She explained everything as she went along and what kind of effects they would have on my skin. She’s someone who seems to genuinely enjoy what she does for a living and it shows. It was nice to feel like the person working on me cared about more than just setting a timer for an hour and doing their thing. She also told me when I left that if started to notice any kind of adverse reaction to the facial, to let her know immediately and she’d remedy the problem. After 3 days, I started experiencing a little flaky skin. I let her know and she’s scheduled me to come back in for a hydrating treatment. If it wasn’t for Jaclyn going out of her way to win back a customer lost by a bad experience, I would never have gone back to this place. But now, not only have I been won over, I’ve told all my friends about this salon that bent over backwards to right a wrong and they are pretty interested as well.
