I love Jersey Mikes, I definitely think they are the best«chain» sandwich place. My problem with this specific location and others in this franchise is they recently quit allowing their employees to heat/toast/warm any cold subs. So if you order an Italian sandwich, they«aren’t allowed» to heat or warm it for you because of corporate policy which is absolutely ridiculous… What’s the point of going to a «Make it your way» sandwich place if you can’t really make it your way. I mean. Even Subway will toast your sandwich for you, regardless of which one you order. This corporate«policy» should seriously be reconsidered and note that customers are dissatisfied with this completely ridiculous rule… The policy itself is just bad customer service.

I placed a catering order with this location and went to pick it up but the order was slightly messed up. The manager, I think her name was Kristen(started with a k) was SO wonderful. She made sure she got my order corrected and worked very fast with her team mates to get it done. She thanked me for being patient and told me that I can always contact her to place the catering orders to make sure it went in as ordered. She was very sweet and got it done like a boss! I highly recommend his location for catering or just to stop and have a sandwich. Manager is awesome!

We always go to Jersey Mikes but tonight was terrible. Both our cheese steaks had basically no meat and the rolls were dry. We had a coupon for buy one get one free so maybe they split the meat between the two? Very disappointed!

Worst sandwich ever!!! Started out looking delicious and then the oil and vinegar hit. Might as well orders oil and vinegar sandwich. That is all you could taste. I understand why the place was empty!!!

very good sandwiches. Staff can be a little odd but if you get by that you will be just fine. I once walked in when about 4 or 5 people were waiting and they all came toward the register and just looked at me. I said Hello, then proceeded to order the roast beef. They all kept staring at me. After a minute one of the workers said they were all out. I then left. I felt like I had walked in on a delegation of Aliens or Pod People. Super Strange.

I love Jersey Mikes sandwich especially #56 Big Kahuna cheese steak. Good tasty food here. Compare to other JM locations, unsweetened tea taste waterly, tables are not cleaned, full of trash, less ingredient on my sandwich(less meat, cheese, vegi) overall, still tasty for me to come back. Hope to fix those things.

The service is terrible, these empolyees are being forced to work there. The sandwich wasn’t the worst but it was also far from the best. I would love to find a place that makes a good hoagie sandwich near downtown. Ever since Wall St deli closed, I have not found a decent hoagie sandwich.

Good sandwiches, the rewards program makes it worth coming back. I like their sandwiches better than Subways by a long shot but still not as good as Jimmy Johns. I like how they slice the deli meats fresh and it’s piled higher than Subways. Mikes way is the way to go, perfect combination for sandwich.

This visit was on Sun, August 31st at around 8:15pm. Walked in to the same young Hispanic gentleman that other reviewers have commented on. He’s scheduled every Sunday night it seems as that’s when I typically go to grab some food before heading into work. This is actually my third encounter with him. It’s obvious he hates his job. He takes absolutely no joy in it whatsoever. While making my sandwich a couple walked in and this employee groaned under his breath in annoyance. I payed no mind to it as I’m used to his behavior. I paid for my order and left him a $ 10 tip hoping it would brighten his spirits some. I sat down to eat quickly, I typically don’t take longer than 15 mins. Eat and run. While I was enjoying my sandwich I overheard some back and forth between the customers and employee. Apparently the couple have a very selective order and by the sound of it he got it wrong. What’s funny about this employee is that when he speaks to he talks to you in a very condescending way. And that definitely rubbed the customers the wrong way. The lady addressed him about his attitude and even tipped him telling him that she hopes it helps him. After the couple left the employee then started complaining to the other employee about the situation and was utterly annoyed with how customers kept coming in during business hours so close to closing. Mind you, I’m in the store and so are another group of customers at another table and we can clearing hear his bickering. He also tried to get another customer, who walked in after, to understand his point of view. Seriously? Managers/Owners, you seem to be taking a blind eye to this obvious problematic employee. I suggest you take ownership of the issue and address it. You’re going to lose lots of customers and business because of this one employee’s attitude. Time to own up and fix it. People talk A LOT and guess what? They’re letting everyone they know how bad their experience was. I know I wouldn’t want that if this were my franchise! I’d like to note that the other gentleman working this night with the glasses and dreads was extremely polite and courteous. I could tell he was trying to minimize the issues the best he could. He even took the time to explain the loyalty program to the couple. You need more of these kinds of employees! Sandwiches are delicious. Service is hit and miss. Depending on which employee you get when you walk in. Good luck folks!

This location rocks! I tried out the Kirby location and they really skimped on meat and I was still hungry after eating a #8 regular sub. At this location, they always load you up good and there are times when I can barely even finish a #8 regular club sub. Ingredients are always fresh and despite long lunch lines, they are fast! Don’t make the mistake of going to any other locations in Houston, this one is where its at!

The traditional hoagie has found its ultimate purveyor in Jersey Mike’s! I am a longtime patron and fan of this chain as I have been going to the Rice Village location since before medical school. When I have a long day ahead I will purchase a giant sub and eat ½ for lunch and ½ for supper. I also usually spring for double meat for any extra $ 2. Jersey Mike’s is hands down the best sub shop in greater Houston. For a chain, Jersey Mike’s provides consistent quality. I have never been disappointed.

Terrible first time experience. There is nothing Baja about their Baja chicken wrap. They should call it a salad because you get more lettuce than anything else. The chicken is very bland. Not impressed and will not go back.

Let me tell you something. Sometimes you have a sub and there is not enough meat. Sometimes there is too much vinegar and it gets soggy. Sometimes there is a line. Sometimes they think mayonnaise is acceptable or try to tell you some people call it a hoagie. Who cares. Who cares because sometimes you miss New Jersey, and you want to be reminded of that little cradle of our American civilization, and your childhood there, and the summer, and the beaches, and cold water, and your family who is nice. This is why you go to Jersey Mike’s. Their franchise has opened like a beach umbrella across the nation blocking out the sun of inferior chains. Our society has chosen to propagate its history through commercial chains. Let us accept this and eat the sub. Eat the sub. Remember your past. Live. Also has coupons.

Great sandwiches. They piled on the meat and veggies. The staff was friendly. Even the background music was good. Subway has nothing on this place!

Hands down the best sub shop ever! My favorite has to be the basic Italian. It’s just the right amount of everything. If your in the mood for subs, this is definitely the best place to go.

We live in the Heights so Jersey Mikes was a favorite of ours! The staff used to be AWESOME! I mean we would literally stop by just to say hi to the staff they had earlier this year. Recently they have hired some new people and everything has gone down hill. We especially can’t stand this particular smug little kid with the smart a** mouth. However, we recently tried yet again because their sandwiches are pretty good. We had two coupons available and still spent over $ 15 on two HALFSANDWICHES. This place is just ridiculous now. EVERYTIME certain kids are in there we walk out unhappy. I believe we will never go back to our once beloved sandwich shop. Horrible service + Overpriced small sandwiches = Back to Schlotzky’s where we can get a huge sandwich(with double avocado, something Mikes doesn’t have) and military discount. ;)

Outstanding customer service. I came here on the morning of 7−30−13 and told the staff I have never orderd from a Jersey Mike’s. They cheerily made several recommendations and also told me what to avoid(the roast beef was not good that day, they said). They offered samples and I settled on the tuna sandwich«Mikes way». It was quite good. Very good food, outstanding attitudes and service from the staff. Way to go Jersey Mike’s. I’ll be back for more!

First visit yesterday– Yale location. Being a yankee I know a good sub. Olive oil, vinegar, oregano, salt and pepper, shredded cold cuts, great bread. Cold cuts were sliced thick which for me is a huge turn off. Bread is very soft, nothing special there. They do offer«Mike’s Way» with all my favorite toppings mentioned above. Sorry to say– we will not return. Southerners may enjoy the sandwiches, I was hoping… for a TRUE yankee sub. So many sandwich shops to choose from, I had high hopes Jersey Mike’s would impress. The staff is wonderful.

So glad I found this place, they put the«fill» in Philly Cheesesteak. Heard about it from a friend and decided to try it on the way to work. Food is great, people are friendly, atmosphere is very comfortable. Allie is the GM at this location and she definitely knows what she’s doing, I look forward to coming back again and again!
