This location is nice, a bit pricey, but they have nice material and other things that they sell. The employees who cut the fabric tend to carry too much conversation with customers a little too much and too long. I really like one of the employees who has been with the company for some time, but when she’s clocked out for lunch, she is clocked OUT for lunch so do NOT ask her a quick question. She will throw you to the wolves and you are on your own… but then again, who wouldn’t? The cashier is SO sweet and helpful. She had a coupon for my material, instead of i having paid $ 14, she saved me $ 7 for my material! See, there are very nice people left in the world after all.

This location always has what I need in stock. I love using the 40% off 1 item coupon through Retail Me Not on my phone. Overall, this is a good location. Everything is always neat and orderly. The only thing I will say is the employees don’t always seem as enthused when approached with a question or concern.

I’ve always wanted to go to the location on I-10. I assumed because it was near a bustling freeway that they would have a large variety of crafting materials, but sadly I was disappointed. They have a very limited selection of crafting materials and most of their project life items are out of date. The good thing is that they carry Teresa Collins materials. I don’t really shop at Joann unless they have a nice coupon or sale. Most of their items I can find at other craft stores, but for a cheaper price. Sometimes it’s best to buy their items online because they have better deals and sales, but other than that I wouldn’t really go here. The service is just like anywhere else. pretty normal, nothing special. I’ll stick to other craft stores around this area.

Very rude staff AND extremely slow service EVEN when they are not busy. Employees prefer standing idle, chatting with one another, to helping customers. This location is very close to my home, BUT after having several negative experiences(manager doesn’t care!) I am going back to Fry Rd location. They«have it together» — courteous & helpful. I will drive to Katy rather than be mistreated at this Katy Freeway store!!!

As far as JoAnn’s goes, as a chain, I love it and rely on it regularly for all my apparel projects. Depending on the location, they usually have excellent selections of fabrics, supplies and tools. They always have coupons and sales and also offer a 10% student discount card(you just have to sign up once with your student ID, then get a scan card for all future purchases). They carry all the good and reliable brands you can trust. However, in regards to this particular location; when it opened I was stoked. A HUGE store with a fabulous selection. If you are a designer or avid sewer, it is like a candy store for us. Unfortunately, the service here is horrid. They always seem to be understaffed. I have been in many, many times on different days of the week and at different times of day. There is usually only 1 or 2(if you are lucky) people cutting fabric and at least 5 – 6 people ahead of you waiting for theirs. And the registers are just as bad. The last time I was there, there was a massive line for the cutting table and about 15 – 16 people in line at the registers and only 2 people working them(even though they have about 5 – 6). I ended up just leaving without purchasing anything and going to another chain nearby. I don’t understand why JoAnn’s would open such a big store in such a high traffic area yet not staff it properly. Whoever is in charge of this at their company needs to do something about it stat. Because of this I will never go back to this location.

I think I am totally addicted to this Jo-Ann. Maybe it is because it’s close to work or maybe I’ve picked up a new hobby and this is the place to get my fabric. The staff here are so friendly. Every single time I am in here and have a question, the staff are always ready to help me. I even signed up on some of the classes that they offered which is awesome! Plus! I think I might come here too often because they call me by my first name and ask how I am doing or did I finish my projects yet. I like it here.

Since this location is new I expected better. Turns out they still don’t carry a lot of Joann items that other stores have. I asked about what I was looking for at checkout after not getting the standard«did you find what you were looking for?» only to be met by an «Oh.» by the older brunette woman at checkout. I asked if she could check other Joann stores for me(like other locations have offered in the past). «Only if you have the(exact term I forget, but not „item“) number.» Why would I have that? So I pulled up their website in my phone, found the item I needed and handed it to her. «Oh this only has the item number. I can’t look it up by that.» And she handed my phone back to me, done with this conversation. This woman was abrupt and could not have been less helpful or friendly. I won’t be back to this store. And will consider other brands in the future.

Love coming to this store! The staff seems to always be nice, helpful, and not pushy or just trying to get you out the door. Very happy with this one.

The service here is much much slower than the joann on fry and I10. The seem to have a ok stock of other things. I would call ahead if your coming here from far away.
