Wow, let me just say this is one of the tastiest plates of Hummus iv’e ever had! I even ordered one to go. I had bookmarked this place a while back not sure how I had came across it, we decided to give it a shot and it did not disappoint. I had a veggie plate which included the warm eggplant dip and a yogurt dip with cranberry rice I believe. It was all delicious, we had gotten so full with bread and hummus that we had to take half our plates to go which we happily ate for dinner. Will definitely be returning. The service was also fast and great! Thank You!

In my opinion, the best restaurant in Houston. Definitely my favorite. If you ever have any sort of kabob craving, GOHERE! The fresh bread and goat cheese/mint/radish/etc. spread they bring you at the start gets you ready for their food. Get their hummus for an appetizer. I don’t even think hummus is popular in Iran, but damn, Kasra’s hummus is probably the best I’ve ever had. Very garlic-ky, just FYI for those who may or may not enjoy garlic. I usually get their beef koobideh, but occasionally get the chicken barg, or get the two together and make it a Soltani. I don’t know how they make everything so juicy and flavorful, but they do, somehow.

Nice Persian restaurant. Go there hungry. The portions are good. You need to know what you like or you can get help. If you go out with family then just get the family platter so you can have a taste of everything. Don’t forget the appetizers and also the nice«baghlava» sweet with tea at the end.

Sour Cherry Rice is a near must-have. It compliments the classic beef Kubideh so well that it should be the regular menu option(unless you don’t like cherries or cranberries). It also has great hummus as well. One of my favorites in Houston!

First time eating Persian food & it was delicious. I could probably eat it everyday for the rest of my life. The portions are pretty decent. The food came out hot & fresh. I gave 4 stars just because our waitress didn’t refill our waters.

The hummus is delicious. The chicken barg, so moist and delicious. The downside for me was the lack of vegetables. The plates just come with rice and tomatoes. That’s okay, though, the chicken was so good. They bring you some complimentary mint/parsley/radish salad thing and naan. Service is good. There could be a wait, but it went by pretty quickly. Total bill for 4 people was $ 64, and we had leftovers. So cheap!

Best hummus I’ve ever tasted and the bread is to die for. I’m taking off one star because the service is HORRIBLE. I’ve been here multiple times and it’s not just one server it’s all of them. They probably check on the table 4 times the whole meal and two of those times is to take an order and deliver the food.

Best catering option for the price! Hands down, so much quantity and best bang for your buck. It’s also very mindful for vegetarians. I would definitely recommend if you need to consider vegetarian options for catering. I would go with their: Beef Chicken Salad Tomato sides Salad Ask for cheese on the side if you don’t want it all incorporated into the salad.

Not that I’ve ever tried another Persian place, but this one is my favorite. Everyone is genuinely so nice every time we come. Always upgrade to dill rice. ALWAYS.

MYHOLYGRAILPERSIANRESTAURANT! This is just for the food. I could care less about the bad service, the stuck up host, and the bad service when you order togo. I love the food here. Its fresh, its hits the spot, and quality is always the same. Ive been going here for 3 years now and every time the cooks could do no wrong in my eyes. Garlic Hummas: Amazing and always wanting more. Its a must try even if your not a hummus kinda person Jujeh Kabob: Is from a cornish hen and is cut up into small pieces and grilled over charcoal and is succulent and juicy Lamb shank: Is soft, flavorful, and not tammy at all. Couldn’t even taste the lamb taste. The broth that the lamb comes with is really good to dip the bread in. Kubideh: Are like kabobs, chicken or beef and is juicy and never dried and buttery. Chicken Barg: is boneless tenderloin that is grilled, its buttery and comes out very juicy.

Nothing special about this place with service. I really like the beef kabobs, but I prefer the lamb shank. The meat is sooo tender that when you pick up the bone it falls right off. I kid you not. So if you do go, go for the lamb shank. Also, they run out of the good stuff pretty fast if you come a little late, such as the mast museer. So come a little earlier than dinner.

I absolutely love this place! Service is great, food is delicious and the prices are perfect for the amount of food you get. We started out with the hummus and I have to say this is the best hummus I have ever had. It has a very strong garlic flavor, so if you are not a fan of garlic I would suggest try something else. I also ordered the Kubideh Combo. It was delicious and the plate was so big I was able to take some home. The basmati rice is naturally dry but with the butter and the grilled veggies, it makes your rice absolutely flavorful.

3 star may be a little unfair, but they are not 5 either. The only reason that I’m going with 3 instead of 4 is; their Chengeh and Shishlik is the same, and it shouldn’t be. For me being served with Chengeh instead of Shishlik is like playing Taylor Swift after my Olympic Championship instead National Anthem. I even asked the waiter about it, cause I thought I’ve been served with someone else’s food, and the guy told me their Chengeh and Shishlik is the same and the only difference is sides. sooooooo disappointing… Their Dough wasn’t that good either, however, the quality of food and service was very good. I usually don’t go back to places that i give 3 star or less, but I’ll definitely go back there and enjoy the rest of menu without dough.

Unilocal does not lead astray! Really good food and great service at a reasonable price :) Got the shishleek which was perfectly cooked and very tender. Grilled vegetables and basmati rice were delicious! Large portions so could only finish half. Service was great — waiter refilled our glasses and when he noticed our flatbread getting cold, he brought out new flatbread… Twice! Hummus was very garlicky but delicious. No problems finding parking. Will definitely return!!!

A quite busy restaurant all around with great food. The parking is horrible as it is located in the corner of a shopping center. We ordered a side of jalapeño and garlic which helped out my meal later. I ordered the barg, filet mignon and cherry rice. The meat was NOT filet mignon. It was about half an inch thick and pretty flavorless. I asked my waiter, and he said it was filet. Very disappointed, I know what filet is. The jalaepno and garlic was used to add /cover up the meat. Sour cherry rice was the star of this meal

Some of the best Persian food I’ve ever had. I’ve probably been here at least 15 times by now. Price: Not including tip or drink some plates are like $ 12-$ 18(these prices may change overtime so this is only accurate at the time I’m writing this review) depending on what dish you choose. For the Quality and Quantity of food you get the price is reasonable. Taste: All the food I’ve tried here is amazing but here are some tips to truly enjoy your food. When it comes to appetizers get the warm eggplant dip or the humus. Both are really good but in my opinion the humus at Kasra is the best I’ve ever had. Also when they give you the complimentary bread make sure they give you the fresh out of the oven bread and not the cold bread. When that bread gets cold you can’t really enjoy it. When it comes to main courses the Beef Kubideh and Cornish hen are two of my favorite dishes. The meat for any dish you get here always taste good. But you have to make sure to get sour cherry rice. If you don’t get sour cherry rice than the food won’t taste as good, so don’t forget! Also make sure to put a little butter in the rice and it taste even better. Service: The service here is never a problem when the place isn’t busy. However if you go on a busy night than the service you get depends a lot on the waiter. If it’s busy service will be hit or miss. I don’t know if a waiter named Mansoor still works there but he is the best waiter I’ve ever had and if he’s working when you go there definitely get him to be your waiter.

The best Persian place I’ve ever been to! The quality of the food is excellent, service is great too! Highly recommend getting the hummus dip. Something about it sets it apart from the rest! We also got the lamb kabob with dill rice and some beef kabob dish with regular rice. The lamb dish was amazingly delicious! Very tender and juicy, but can be pricey(goes by market price). You get 4 pieces of lamb ribs with a heaping portion of dill rice. The beef kabob was also very good, very flavorful and juicy. Overall great experience here at this place. Definitely coming back!

WINNERWINNER. The service is quick and a little brusque. The seating was not so great.(We were seated near a large table and in the way of a flow of traffic. The server for the large table had no problem almost sitting on the two of us while serving the big table. Uh, awkward much. My American need for more personal space was violated.) Thankfully this place isn’t overly pretentious. Also, you could see a lot of foreign elderly here, which meant to me the place was authentic and where they would want to sit for a while and enjoy a night out. The food. Oh the food! I told the roommate that I wanted either Mediterranean or Indian, and this is where he took me. Fair enough, geographically speaking. 1. Hummus — Frickin’ amazing. AMAZING. I’m one of those people who normally doesn’t like plain hummus. This comes with what I presume is ground pomegranate seeds and a lot of acidity, which I liked. We downed it. 2. Lentil soup — Also very flavorful considering how simple it looks when it comes out. I sort of had to come down off of the acidity of the hummus before I could really appreciate it. 3. Sultani(B6) — A combo of kubideh and chenjeh. Oh soooooooo good. Roomie ordered the cherry rice which we both loved. He said though he has had 50 – 50 mixed reviews. People either love it or hate it. ^We split the above because it was a LOT of food. We still went home with leftovers. Cue my Spazmatics: «Rock the Kas-ra! Rock the Kas-ra!» Oh, and fair warning: you will be burping kubideh for a good three hours after coming here. The roomie and I both experienced it. Maybe a place for the second date and not the first! ;)

Came for an early dinner. It was our first time at this restaurant and we had a good dinner. There are so many options but we ended up ordering: 1. Warm eggplant appetizer — tasted okay 2. They provided bread and a herbs plate with 2 cubes of feta cheese — this was surprisingly delicious. You tear off a piece of bread, put herbs of top, a dice of radish, and a small piece of the feta. YUM 3. Crispy rice and some sort of bean sauce and one chunk of beef — tasted okay 4. The family platter — which has a sampling of everything — we wanted to try each of the kabobs and meats. The beef was moist and cooked perfectly. We wanted more spice in the marinade but it tasted fine. The chicken was juicy and marinaded perfectly. The family platter came with 3 types of rice — plain, dill, and cherries. Ended our meal with their two desserts and hot tea. The desserts are very sweet so it was nice accompaniment to the hot tea. Our server is very nice as well as the managers. They pay attention and when our drinks are low, tell the other servers to refill. We will definitely come back to try their hummus and other entrées. They do get extremely busy so I recommend eating early(before 6pm).

Kasra is definitely worth whatever wait they give you. And most of the time, you’re going to have to wait. Every time I’ve been, they’ve had a full house. That’s how you know you’re about to eat well :) My first experience here was with a group of 10. We were quoted an hour wait, but it ended up being over an hour and a half. Also, their waiting area is tiny, and there aren’t many places to sit, so we practically stood the entire wait. Our waiter was HORRENDOUS. Good lord, she was rude, slow, and not attentive in any way. She snapped at us to hurry up and order, she gave someone a really dirty look when they asked for a packet of butter(that was missing from his plate), and she gave curt and sharp replies whenever she was prompted a question. It was really uncomfortable. BUUUUTTTTT. The food was outstanding, so whatever. Hummus(+): I couldn’t believe how good it was. I know it’s not a Persian thing, but who cares. It’s phenomenal. Kubideh(+): the beef is always tender and juicy, never bland or dry. It’s so easy to finish the entire plate(which is a pretty good size) bc everything is just that yummy. The rice is always fresh, too. It’s not crunchy or cold. I would definitely suggest it. Bread(+): watch out, you’ll be full before you know it snacking on this warm fluffy goodness. Dill rice(side sub option(+): would definitely recommend this if you like dill. It’s a generous amount of dill paired with their rice, giving it a very refreshing and earthy flavor. Goes well with all of their meat choices Second time I was here was with 6, for a family dinner. Service was much better and food was still equally as good! Consistency, especially with food, is usually what seals the deal for me. If your food is always good, guarantee you will see me frequently! But if your service is a hit or a miss, I might hesitate. I’m crossing my fingers my next visit is like my second!
